again I really like your approach on videos like this. my league journey is a long one with some ups and downs, breaks and come backs but i struggeld a long time and played every role except top for a longer time, but in the end it will always be mid lane for me. I like mages, I like control, I dont need to be 1v9ing and the option to play save if im feeling overwhelmed by my opponent or my opponents champion was always reassuring for me.
@@lyserl you are dependent on your support most of the time, you have incredibly low health and can die to either the enemy adc or support if you misplay or their jungler or their midlaner. its just more stress than it's worth for me but if you like it go ahead. its also very weak this season
I always end up coming back to Jungling, but enjoy most champs so starting to main Viego since it lets me play the enemy champs & keeps me from getting bored. Really well done video, covering key aspects of the roles concisely. Cheers!
i really like the idea of adc but i feel like the hate on it gets to me with trying to learn it, it looks so fun to be so strong late game and not being able to be kited is so nice.
Ignore the hate it gets, just go for it. At the very least you get to learn for yourself if its a doomed role or not. I think ADC's are really strong and balanced. I dont view them as weak. Most people who have that opinion have conflicting flaws with the rest of their gameplay.
the doomer attitude that follows the role right now has SOME merit to it; a lot of marksmen feel weak in comparison to the other roles. despite that, i still think ADC is the most fun role in the game and it’s not even close. i’ve been playing ekko mid this season because the lethality changes made bot lane feel really hostile in 14.1 but whenever i play normals or get xayah/lucian in aram i have so much fun. i love the feeling of being one wrong move away from being deleted, it feels exhilarating to know that your top or support can probably tank a CC ability or even two and get away alive, but if you get hit with a stray root or sometimes even just a slow and you’re getting run down. this sounds negative but i promise i mean this as a positive- there’s no greater rush to me in league than teamfighting on Jinx at 35-40 mins, knowing that i’m the enemy team’s Prime Objective, and still managing to stay alive and carry the fight with clean right clicks and good decision making. if you think the strengths of the role are something that speaks to you, you should try it!
Maining 2 champions on your main role, with 1 secondary champion (preferably an easy one), and maining 1 champion in your off role and 1 secondary (again an easy one) gives the same benefits as one tricking while minimizing the negatives by a ton. I definitely wouldnt say that having an active champion pool bigger then 3 champions is optimal outside of masters+.
I love your takes on this game, this reminds me of the first vid i saw from you. Which role carries best had a bit more humor, but I like the tradeoff for more information and guidance. Keep up the good work.
Within that, there is also the POV of learning a playstyle and exchanging champions that fits that playstyle. Lets say I love splitpushing and Tryndamere feels bad against the enemy comp, I have the option of playing something tankier like Jax, but still play within my playstyle. It adds more depth to your gameplay and you get to experience more useful scenarios that help you grow.
Imo don't overthink it. Watch a guide to learn the basics of each, play 20 games on each using an easy entry level champion and see which seems more natural to you. Personally got lucky landing on Jungle off the bat specially since a chunk of my fav champs are in that role but if i was really indecisive thats what i would do.
0:20 what about one-tricking a mechanically simple champion like Garen, or Annie to work on your fundamentals and macro for a limited time frame, say a season or a split?
top lane requires a strong mental , builds character and reveals it. Jungle is worse , 3 lanes to help is too much. Sometimes even one will ruin the whole game.
For playing both mid and top lane, my mental sanity is far better when i’m playing mid lane, top relly to much on crazy mechanics except for some champ
played the game for 14 years and maimed adc for about 10 of those years and recently came back and supports just became the most brain dead groups of people i’ve met, so i quit to mid lol
As someone who is in role limbo this video was super helpful. I’ve been playing ADC for about a year now and have fallen out of love with the role. Do you guys have any suggestions for roles to try I really enjoy scaling and I prefer to play a role where I can just play one or two champions.
honestly you have champions that scale in every role and you can one or two-trick in all roles and find pretty good success (In fact I kind of disagree with the video opening about one-tricking, it's not a bad idea as long as you are learning the game, you can and should branch out AFTER getting to the top) standard roles for scaling are mid and ad, jungle is more about impacting early to mid game and setting everyone up for success but it does have some scaling champs (e.g. Bel'Veth, Karthus) mid lane has a lot of good scaling mages, something like Azir, Viktor, Aurelion Sol, Veigar toplane still has good scaling and has certain champions that sacrifice the lane to scale super well into mid and late game (Kayle) but it is more of an outlier than the norm basically to really give you a suggestion I'm going to need more info on your preferences or what you are looking for
I mean when I played bot lane I really enjoyed jhin and his crazy burst damage. I guess that means I should def look towards viktor and burstier champions right?
The sad thing is that I only like the flashy tough champs of league... + i don't have a main role because after 1 - 2 months the champs and lane get boring so i change the role and the champs again... I play every role from top -> adc the only role i don't like to play is support they don't have a single good champ that is fun to play more than 2 games in a row... So my champs are like this Toplane (Riven... everything else is boring..) Midlane (Zed, Katarina, Talon, Akali) Jungle (Rengar, Eve) ADC (Draven) and since im perma swapping between all these roles and champs im always somewhere between Dia and Plat XD
Could you make an autofill guide? I usually play ww jungle when i cannot get mid, since i think its the closest role to it, but i find myself playing too much jungle due to how in need the role is (almost 50/50 of my games are split between the two)
@@ECPlaysLoL i mostly mean what roles should you play considering your main role, if dodging is viable and how to minimize the disadvantage of not being in your main role (maybe having a flex pick, playing less aggressively style etc). I've seen a few people talking about these topics, however none of them are as good as you lmao (love your content)
Thank you for the nice feedback!😊 Okay now I understand your point, and yeah I think its possible to make that guide in a way that suits all roles and playstyles. I'll see what I can cook mate 😁
Fot me i only play jungle coz league is my first pc game and my micro sucks and jungle don't require that good micro and i rather use my brain to win, that hands Edited i love aatrox i will play top only coz of aatrox
I agree with your main point, but I would argue that one tricking a champion can help you fall in love with a role. Without a fun champion to play, your role will be boring no matter what.
That is also a good point. I do think that skills transfer from champion to champion, as long as the champion in somewhat similar in nature, like a Jax player should have an easy time picking up Tryndamere, and a Nasus player should have an easy time picking up Yorick.

Can confirm - as a jungler, the mute function is your best friend.
if you intend to keep your sanity, the mute function is basically your best friend on any role

If my main is band i dodge LOL.
But i play a very low picked rated / ban rated champ so i never have a problem like that.
