My aunts funeral. Her best friend got up, unprovoked and started singing some song she made up for my aunt. She sounds horrible and to add she was crying with snot running down her face. My sister and I were in tears from trying to hold on our laughter.

It always shocks me when grown people have only been to 1 funeral or even no funerals. I say that with envy. As a kid I felt like I was always being dragged to one and nearly all open casket, including at least one that should NOT have been. Not sure when I last went to one, I hate the whole process and rarely agree to go anymore
My granduncle's funeral. Folks kept coming up to the podium eulogizing about what a generous, nice man he was. He was the owner of an apartment building in Los Angeles. My sister and I were sitting in the back of the funeral parlor. I whispered to my sister who in the hell are they talking about? At that my sister and I started giggling and had to cover our mouths. It was so inappropriate, but truth be told my granduncle was a ill-tempered, cheap, alcoholic, mofo! 😂😂😂😂😂

Mid funeral the guy that left her when she was really sick walked in while the Pastor was doing the eulogy and my other aunt, who was recording the funeral up front with a huge camera on her shoulder yelled at him, “Unnn unnn you gotta go, she didn’t want you to come.” Cousins, uncles and randoms sitting throughout the church started yelling things like, “Peace! See ya! Get gone!” I couldn’t contain myself. Laughed so freaking hard 😂
my granpa's funeral. it was during the height of covid and they were sanitizing everything. the priest finished whatever he was saying and said "let us pray" and in the silence the guy with him sprayed disinfectant on the microphone while it was still on, so it made this humongous boom that echoed through the church like a gunshot. could not stop laughing. i wasnt the only one though
Definitely at a funeral! When that one family member sings too loud and slightly out of tune, with the wavering voice, my siblings and I start benning up! We try to hide our laughing by pretending that we're crying. Head in hands, tears pouring! 😂😂
I went to my brothers graduation in July. He goes to a special needs school. I don’t know why 😂 he was referred there bc he was the naughty kid who didn’t listen. He’s not actually special needs or disabled. Bc of this I wasn’t aware of HOW special needs a lot of the kids were and Some had to attend virtually. Eventually they got to one boy who is literally the same size as these two minus the facial hair, but had the mind of a five year old. He decided to write a song and on a massive screen infront of 40 people the boy just screamed down the mic for two minutes straight, when he started I thought it was going to be about 30 seconds, nope. It did not stop! 💀😩 I looked around at everyone’s faces and no one cracked a smile. One man left as though he was taking a phone call but everyone else held thier faces or pretended to look at something else. I could not stop smiling. So close to laughing. I was in so much distress I almost cried 😂😭. At any second I thought Omg I’m gonna crack it has to be over soon. My bad ass brother just looked at the floor the ENTIRE PERFORMANCE. I tried to contact him telepathically telling no don’t do it 😂😂 the boy had the mic on one hand and was waving his other hand around getting into it. Then he started screaming in a high pitch and I literally just closed my eyes and breathe slowly. My jaw was literally quivering trying to hold the laugh and not to smile to much. I was alone sitting next to the deputy head teacher and the head of year. I felt like a student scared to get in trouble😂 absolute torture
Right?!?! Maybe it’s because I have a large family on BOTH sides but I’ve been going to funerals since I was 9yrs old… several decades later, I’m honestly numb to it all now.

At my mom and step-dad's wedding. Me and my fiancé watched 'I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry' a week prior, so when the pastor started talking about the ring is round and eternal and some shit we started cry laughing. We were sitting in the front row. My mom said afterward she thought we were crying but also started laughing when we told her what really happened. I still feel bad to this day, but no one was mad anyway.
My grandfather's partner was very sick a few years ago so we spent christmas in the hospital with him. He had an accident while we were there and was trying to rush to the bathroom when he suddenly shat all over the floor. The rest of the family was horrified but me, my dad and my brother fell to the floor screaming with laughter the second we got out the room 😂😂
At a funeral. It was my first time in a Catholic Church and I kept inaccurately kneeling, standing and sitting at the wrong times, which probably looked like I was intentionally trying to be a jerk. I was actually embarrassed, but for some reason, I began to laugh uncontrollably, but played it off like I was hysterically crying.
My homeboy was caught cheating by his main chick. The sidechick was at his crib and the main chick showed up for a surprise visit. These huns ganged up on him amd beat the crap out of him. Then they put him on the spot to apologize to both of them. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen😂

My grandpa’s funeral. They let these two old women from his church sing for him. Song was five minutes man. Not one note was on pitch😭😭 All I saw were shaking shoulders and I knew not one of us was crying💀💀
At my uncle's funeral: An old pastor and a young pastor. Old pastor is standing and reading from the bible. Young pastor sitting down next to him looking up at him. (Waiting for the right places to throw in an "amen", and such.) Now, I have to stop and say that I'm on the second row and a BUNCH of other stuff has gone down before we even got to what's about to happen. On this row with me are: RIGHT beside me is my smart ass big brother(love him to pieces), next to him our big sister, and several cousins are on that row. Basically those of us that grew up together. (I might have had a toke, or two of my cousin's blunt beforehand also.) Back to the old pastor. One wonders why he knew he was going to be doing a lot of talking and reading that day and yet chose to NOT use polygrip, or something on his dentures, but he didn't have anything holding them bad boys in his mouth and so...mid read he got excited and out they fell! And he smooth caught them and popped them back in his mouth like nothing happened. But it was too late. We all saw what happened. It was hard but we didn't bust out laughing, we just bowed our heads for a second. Then we noticed the look of horror on the young pastor's face and realized that spit from the old guy's teeth must've gotten on the young pastor's face and he did NOT know how to take it! We did good! We STILL didn't bust out with it, but our shoulders were shaking with silent laughter...After that..laughed the rest of the day!
I’ve only been to 3 funerals. One open casket. It was traumatizing, but I also found closure in it. I don’t think I could have handled my dad’s funeral being open casket tho. I was already an uncontrollable sobbing mess. I wasn’t ready for the finality yet.
I saw my stepmoms lol it was an open casket. I’ll never heal from that. It still tears me apart everytime I think about her death, because the memory is sooo vivid. She passed on last year from TB. I’m never seeing an open casket ever again. I’m 15 btw, so I’ll never forget that
i laughed so hard at "American-Style" church -- if he actually visits one, he will realize we also have repetitive covenants that are said as well. We learn them from when we are children, they are also usually printed on programs or sometimes we will hang signage in the church.
Interesting that people havent really experience funerals, im not saying I only went to my relatives, but I helped at funerals and just hard things. Eulogies are the parts I like to listen to b/c I like learning about the person. Most funerals have great stories of the person's life
So odd to me how many people haven't been to many funerals-I've been to more than I can count, even before turning 30. And open caskets were always the norm... it's wild to see how different the person looks after embalming. Weird enough I always found it comforting, as if whatever had made them who they were wasn't trapped there in that body. Even as a little one it helped me be less fearful of death.
I’ve experienced seeing the open casket. It was my stepmothers funeral she passed on last year from tuberculosis . I’m 15. It broke me. I still get vivid memories where I saw it and I almost broke down but had to hold it up for my dad and my step siblings. Have to say, I bawled my eyes out and I don’t think I’ll ever heal from that. 4:06
On a date. He told me his dad had a quarter of one lung left from smoking, and still smokes. I couldn’t hold a laugh because how u have .25 of ONE lung left and u still smoking 😭 there was no second date
My best friend’s little brother passed away. We had a candle light vigil for him and at the vigil her mum starts cry and screaming and falling mi one son dead, oh lord mi one son dead, her oldest child her other son was the one holding her up.
The first time I saw a fellow nude I laughed so hard that he went back into the bathroom and locked the door behind him. In my defense, he gave me no warning. He came straight out of the shower, flabby and floppin. Started swinging his member back and forth side to side - full bush. I can still hear the pap pap pap to this day. I was sitting on the couch reading, and looked up to this sight. Did he think it would put me in the mood? He was dead wrong lol. I was still a virgin at the time. We had been dating for like 48 hours at this point. Instantly I was crying with laughter. After he hid away I tried to console him in between tears and laughter and gasping for air. I was like, I'm sorry baby you're beautiful 😂😭😂😭 I don't think either of us believed me lolol
open caskets are not for the weak of heart. my aunt died of a gunshot wound (they say it was self unalive, but the entire family basically knows it was my uncle) and there was an open casket for her. there was just a clean hole in her head when I saw her. I honestly dont know why they chose to do that, but it was a horrible way to see my aunt for the last time.
One time at uni we had a course where every week a new prof would talk about his field of study. One of the profs was indian with a very strong indian accent. I don’t know why but him speaking was so funny to me I had to cover my mouth for full 90 minutes so he won’t see me laugh and won’t think I'm disrespectful towards him
My fathers funeral. 🙈 a family member was in heavy active addiction at this time plus it was during covid so life was emotional as is. After the eulogy reading this person got up out of nowhere and started Holy Ghost style crying and tweaking but very much like that scene from holiday heart 😂 my sister and I looked back at her then locked eyes with each other and we both started uncontrollably crying laughing 😂😂😂 thank goodness we had mask on!! Our aunts came behind us and started to console us which for some reason made it even funnier for us. It was one of the roughest days of my life but that very moment was also one of the funniest!
A group of friends and I went to the beach late at night to catch the sunrise and one of my friend’s front tooth suddenly flew out of her mouth and into the sand while she was mid-sentence. I saw it happen in slow mo and immediately started DYINGGGG. 🥴🤣 We all had to turn our phone flashlights on and dig through the grains of sand to help find the tooth but I was inconsolable the entire time because whyyy would your whole entire teef just fly out of your mouth in front of company like that?! 😭 It’s been a couple years since this happened and I still feel bad for cackling the way I did, but I also still fall out completely every time I remember this bih saying, “My tooth fell out” like it was a completely normal occurrence. I didn’t even know it was that loose to begin with. 😂
Update: We eventually found the tooth and she put back in with some crazy glue. She also went to the dentist a couple months after this happened to have it put back in permanently. 😂
I was arguing with my man & laughed in his face til this day he still think I take him for a joke 😭 y’all please don’t do it no matter how temping & uncontrollable it may be lmfaooo.
At my sister's funeral last November, my cousin came up to hug me. Her hair got caught in my earring and we were laughing so hard trying to untangle ourselves. We were holding up the line (it was during the part after the service where everyone comes down to offer condolences to the immediate family) and I could tell my mom was like "wtf is going on down there" I don't think I've ever been to a funeral where I didn't laugh because of some nonsense 😂
Sigh we always think we can't handle it till we have to face it. I Lost my dad in May and trusttt me I never thought I could have ever faced something like that😔 but I Had to. For Him and for Me. May God rest his beautiful soul❤ May yall have a long time together with your family and cherish it🙇♀️
At my former bosses funeral. Imagine an older lady 'who ran things', Catholic and well conected. The singer at the funeral decided to do Amazing Grace in an operatic fashion, only to belt out an 'ololololollo' for eternity at the end of one verse. I lost it. Nope, no more Catholic deaths for me.
The Amen thing is so true you think ah cool prayer is over and go to open your eyes and sit back down...then it goes on more and you look up slightly and see a few others also doing the same as you, but it's not over! One went on for what felt like ages and I was starting to sway standing so long with my eyes closed. Then I thought if everyone's eyes are closed nobody will see if I sit down, then I felt my brother elbow me and step on my foot..I was almost in tears trying not to laugh as we exchanged elbows and footsteps.
I have been there when my Oma (my Moms German Mom) passed (she was 92) and then my Mom, brother and I went and saw her again 3 days later (my Moms request) and she was cremated shortly there after. But it was really strange to see just her body without her soul, definitely different. I’m just so grateful I was able to be there for my Mom and Brother who were closer to her of course. That was back in 2008 and I still remember how she looked. I really miss her. 💔
My manager's wife was describing being scared as she was driving and thought she was having a stroke because one of her arms kinda went numb...I wish I remembered how she described it but it was definitely the delivery that made me scream😂😂😂
I was at my Aunt's funeral, sitting on the second row with my mom and other family. One of my cousin's, who was my uncle's daughter from another relationship, is over 400lbs at 5"9. The church we were in wasn't very big. Well, she was so overly dramatic and fake crying (she had gotten in an argument with my aunt and stopped talking to her a week before died unexpectedly) that she threw herself on the church floor. The thing is, she was between the wall and the side of the pews. Again, the church wasn't very large and she got her big self stuck between the wall and pews and it took 5 male ushers to push and pull her own.1
I was at my stepdads funeral. Some of his family from Louisiana came out. And one of his family members went to sing “eye on the sparrow” and simply butchered it. We couldn’t contain our laughter anymore. Basically our whole pew was literally crying laughing.
I remember i was at my great grandmother’s funeral and the pastor said “as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death” i IMMEDIATELY started rapping gangster’s paradise and my sister and her fiancé at to hold back their laughs because they heard me rapping the song.
The day before my grandfathers funeral they put him in a freezer kinda thing for one night and the video of “who in the hell put the muffins in the freezer” came to mind and i started cracking up but also crying 😂😂 till this day it cracks me up
My grandma's funeral! My Great Uncle (whom I'd never heard of or met) was trying to give a eulogy but he confused my grandmother with her mother whom was his sister. I looked at my cousin and whispered how the hell is he talking about and we started cracking up laughing. We had to put our heads down and I rubbed her back so everyone thought we were crying!
A dope fien farted long and loud at a funeral.... i was very young and very high.... i tried holding it... but the longer i held it the worst the laff was getting, i could feel it....THEN my cousin a I locked eyes, that was all it took.😅 i thought a zombie farted that 💩 was terrible i looked over at the corpse like you had to have done this. Dead asse had it smellin like dead asse.😂
At my dad's funeral. We were grave side and my 2yr nephew dropped some skittle in between my sister's DDs. He was reaching in and popping them in his mouth 1 by 1. I had to walk away.
Here in the US, as a black person specifically, open caskets is a normal thing. Traumatic, but yes, open so we make sure we’re saying goodbye to the right person!
I am a bit shocked at your conversations on funerals. It is so normal in the states to go to open casket funerals, at least from my experience. I can’t even count the number of funerals I’ve been to. We didn’t have a choice as kids, we just went and yes I would be traumatized for days seeing a deceased person but it was normalized. From my experience, especially for older people I’ve been around they actually make sure they are there when the casket is opened so they can view the body.
How people know when to say Amen when praying corporately is usually when scripture is recited in the prayer, and when you know scripture, you will know when to say Amen.
Here in Jamaica every funeral the casket is opened before the service starts so people can view it unless the person died badly where some part of them is destroyed.
How the hell did this man say his been to one funeral... for real. How's this possible. I mean my family die.... and we go to the funerals like am I missing something
Ok sooooo😂😂😂😂, I’m one of those ppl in serious moments some times I crack up laughing. So I was in church and I received a pic and a message from my daughter’s dad that her great grandmother had passed away. Idk why but looking at the picture I started laughing so hard. Mind you I’m in church and the preacher is preaching. I had to get up out of there quickly. Idk why but it was the funniest thing to me. Maybe because his message was “sad” from his point of view but however yeah . I’m laughing now thinking about it😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was 17 yo when my dad died, my family is christian orthodox from Eastern Europe, long story short, my mom would not take no for an answer and forced me to give my father a goodbye kiss on the forehead before closing the casket and burying him. that memory still haunts me to this fkn day
Open casket is in the netherlands very normal. Ive been to many. Must had past 15 or so. Even with the online funerals during corona we had open caskets. You get used to it.
They only been to one, two funeral services???? Damn. I've been to so many that I had to refrain from going to anymore overtime..,..... I also cannot take the fact that some people are gone 😢 so I don't go.
When I was in my early twenties. My sister told me this accident she got into, with my mother driving. She kept saying how she drove over the parking spot, into on going traffic in a one way, driving the opposite direction, because she kept mistakeing the acceleration was the brakes. I wanted to say I knew she was dumb, but damn. She asked me why the fuck I was laughing? & To stop. I couldn't, but all I wanted to say was 'but did you die tho?' Everyone know I'm going to be cracking jokes in my death bed 🤣🤣

I'm so sorry about that. I hope you're doing well.
Not James talking about my church full on as a South African that whole funeral bit is my life I've been to more funerals than weddings 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
James dad was like “fck around and fein for yourselves” 😂💀
Interesting that people havent really experience funerals, im not saying I only went to my relatives, but I helped at funerals and just hard things. Eulogies are the parts I like to listen to b/c I like learning about the person. Most funerals have great stories of the person's life
I go to a funeral once at 12 for a friend that's it and I'm 35 and thank god I don't go to anyone else
@@Jsarmy87124jeez. Ive been to both of my grandparents on my dad’s side funeral’s, and a bunch of family friends funerals, and I’m only 24 🫠
I can tell I'm from America. I'm 31 been to at least 13 or 14 funerals. At least 6 under 25. Sad
So sorry for your losses.
24 Uk never been - all gonna come at once
My friend told me her rabbit got eaten on Halloween night and my irony meter made me cackle like no other. Safe to say we ain’t friends anymore.
That's valid tho . I also would've laughed
When they all broke out in harmony 🤣❤️
Bro James ALWAYS has a story 😂😂
So odd to me how many people haven't been to many funerals-I've been to more than I can count, even before turning 30. And open caskets were always the norm... it's wild to see how different the person looks after embalming. Weird enough I always found it comforting, as if whatever had made them who they were wasn't trapped there in that body. Even as a little one it helped me be less fearful of death.
"they had her thrown on the table like a pig in a feast, the only thing missing was the apple in her mouth." YOOOOOOO 😭
I was in church when the choir sang very badly. I laughed so hard people thought i was having a heart attach. I remember and still laugh😂😂😂😂
The mortician should have fixed it. Who does that?
😲😤Sorry you had to say goodbye that way. That was sooo disrespectful to your entire family. My condolences.
Only going to one funeral is crazy to me. I must be cursed 👀😅
I've lost my mam, grandparents and a few friends. At least 9 funerals at 34.
Same 😢 prayers for your healing. I can count at least 13. But, I am from Florida so shit happens
Same! When they both said one I was like wahhhh no way
No real gun crime in the UK so people tend to live to old age

I’m CACKLING!!! AMEN! *looks insecurely around you*. Everyone new at a Catholic mass. 😂😂😂 #Godhasasenseofhumor trust.
"ymih ymih ymih ymih"
Bro caught me off guard singing Tayc lyrics
James go to church.
James is so funny about the Amen thing 😂😂😂
Open casket must be normal in American culture. The only way ppl don’t have an open casket is it if they just can’t really.
A group of friends and I went to the beach late at night to catch the sunrise and one of my friend’s front tooth suddenly flew out of her mouth and into the sand while she was mid-sentence. I saw it happen in slow mo and immediately started DYINGGGG. 🥴🤣
We all had to turn our phone flashlights on and dig through the grains of sand to help find the tooth but I was inconsolable the entire time because whyyy would your whole entire teef just fly out of your mouth in front of company like that?! 😭
It’s been a couple years since this happened and I still feel bad for cackling the way I did, but I also still fall out completely every time I remember this bih saying, “My tooth fell out” like it was a completely normal occurrence. I didn’t even know it was that loose to begin with. 😂
Update: We eventually found the tooth and she put back in with some crazy glue. She also went to the dentist a couple months after this happened to have it put back in permanently. 😂
7:07 bahahahahhaa REM -- idk him hahaha
Threatening to jump out the car on the highway and let the chips fall where they may is peak dad
Can I get an Amen 😂😂😂😂, is the only way he knows when to say it, oh James . As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, that was funny 😂😂😂
I was arguing with my man & laughed in his face til this day he still think I take him for a joke 😭 y’all please don’t do it no matter how temping & uncontrollable it may be lmfaooo.
All I gotta say for that last one is “STILL HIT THO😂”
dude you went your whole life only going to 1 funeral, life is good...
At my sister's funeral last November, my cousin came up to hug me. Her hair got caught in my earring and we were laughing so hard trying to untangle ourselves. We were holding up the line (it was during the part after the service where everyone comes down to offer condolences to the immediate family) and I could tell my mom was like "wtf is going on down there"
I don't think I've ever been to a funeral where I didn't laugh because of some nonsense 😂
Auntie out on the table, like in Yellow Jackets! 😂
James’ stories are *so* chaotic 😂
Right: My dad opened his car door once
Left: he did what?💀💀💀💀
The Amen thing is so true you think ah cool prayer is over and go to open your eyes and sit back down...then it goes on more and you look up slightly and see a few others also doing the same as you, but it's not over!
Who laughed?
@@kerr2327 just commenting on being at a funeral- no giggling ensued.
Again, the church wasn't very large and she got her big self stuck between the wall and pews and it took 5 male ushers to push and pull her own.1
you 've been to 1 funeral?...... iv lost count,
Not the group chat and close friends 😂
I was at my stepdads funeral. Some of his family from Louisiana came out. And one of his family members went to sing “eye on the sparrow” and simply butchered it. We couldn’t contain our laughter anymore. Basically our whole pew was literally crying laughing.
I remember i was at my great grandmother’s funeral and the pastor said “as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death” i IMMEDIATELY started rapping gangster’s paradise and my sister and her fiancé at to hold back their laughs because they heard me rapping the song.
The day before my grandfathers funeral they put him in a freezer kinda thing for one night and the video of “who in the hell put the muffins in the freezer” came to mind and i started cracking up but also crying 😂😂 till this day it cracks me up
Bruh I had to pause this cah I’m tryna eat😭😭😭 shit has me crying looool😭
"my mum would do that every tuesday 🙄🙄" lmao
"Tough" 😂😂😂
“People seem to normalise it” 😂😂I thought open casket is a normal thing, or maybe it’s a South African thing
Here in the US, as a black person specifically, open caskets is a normal thing. Traumatic, but yes, open so we make sure we’re saying goodbye to the right person!
I can't pay my respects to that😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am a bit shocked at your conversations on funerals.
James "did he look white?" Do we look dead? 😂
How people know when to say Amen when praying corporately is usually when scripture is recited in the prayer, and when you know scripture, you will know when to say Amen.
As an Irish woman, its maaad that theyve both only been to one funeral! I went to like 5/6 funerals this year....🤣
0:40 *It does sound and seem long tbf* 😂
Here in Jamaica every funeral the casket is opened before the service starts so people can view it unless the person died badly where some part of them is destroyed.
How the hell did this man say his been to one funeral... for real. How's this possible. I mean my family die.... and we go to the funerals like am I missing something
Who edits your videos. They need a raise! So good!
Sounds like James unpacked some
Deep azz trauma
I find it crazy that they don’t normally have open casket funerals like in the US
They only been to one, two funeral services????
