This car broke the record for the fastest production hyper EV just a few weeks ago, going 438,6 kmh. Its acceleration time from 0 to 100 kmh is 1,7 seconds. No info about the 1/8 mile time though.
At what is sure to be a lofty selling price, those doors should open automatically. Also, the electric hum will probably drive the owner crazy... IF he ever drove it. It may look nice and be blindingly fast but at any price, that hum seems like it would be a deal breaker.
It is all about saving weight. Automatic doors need motors and electronics and space to be put. The goal of this car was/is maximum performance at minimum weight. And since the whole body is out of carbon fiber it hums louder, because the carbon fiber works as a resonator and spreads the humming.
Even if the Owl is quicker than a Nevera, I'd take a Nevera any day over this. Just next level craftsmanship and interior compared to the Owl. The Owl looks like a kit car with cheap buttons everywhere and other cost saving oddities. Holding a key on top and having to wait then push a button and wait again is a sign of cheapness and compromise. It should all be instant the moment the passenger steps in. The Owl will be remembered for nothing more than another rare one off that wasn't really anything special other than a few metrics. I'd be interested to see how well it holds up over time if any owners actually puts it to use. But damn that cabin is super tight to drive in. Head room is almost non-existant.

Regarding the cabin, the Aston Martin Valkyrie is even worse but it has something that other cars don't have. Really neat car a lot of cool features. Believe it or not for a car that has so many buttons all of it seems to make a lot of sense and convenient. Although the display to me looks cheap it's like futuristic something in an 80s DeLorean. I love the hyperboost mode button it's like launch the nukes LOL
Is 2000kg real? That would be some 350 kg less than Rimac Nevera, but still a good bit more than Lotus Evija? If a serious brand cars they can make them pretty light. Think GMA T.50. Drop the V12 and gearbox, add a modest 1000 hp AWD BEV kit, like half a Nevera pack and two of the Koenigsegg 800 hp motors, that would suffice. Might even go 2x 400 hp on teh front axle and save a diff. Does the rear need more than 400 hp per wheel? OK, 4x 400 hp motor with a 1000 hp pack, that won't break the scales. It might well fit in a car that looks a lot like GMA T.33 (gear tunnel used for batteries like in Nevera), but the cargo space ends up in different places. I think 1300-1400 kg is doable with a $3M/ea budget. Not a big battery, but every year you can offer plug and play upgrades.
Boots with oversized hiking treads have to be the smartest choice of footwear for driving and demonstrating a low slung and tight fitting hypercar. 🤪 2:02
