    Being a physician by profession and developing recent interest in equity market, this series of educational videos from Daniel are very very helpful for a beginner like me. I'm literally writing notes of every video lecture.
    Wish Stock Unlock annual subscription was around 35-40 USD, even as a limited time offer, to help more of us subscribe to it.
    Warm regards.

      Hi Obaid, thanks so much for sharing this with us! We are happy to hear that the videos are helpful.
      As for the price, 35/40 a year is unfortunately too low. Most services and websites charge 100s per year, and some even per month.
      Simply put it costs money to buy the financial data and run the company with three founders and an employee would not be covered, or allow us to scale if we lowered the price (we are already the best priced out of any competitor on the market.)
      If you like Stock Unlock and can afford the $6.99 per month, or $74.99 per year (cheaper) it would really help support us to continue to make content like this. We wanted it to be priced less than one minimum wage hour per month so most people can afford it. Also we completely respect if you disagree with us on price here, no hard feelings :)

      It could go up to 240 per year and still would be a bargain 😊
      StockUnlock is very undervalued, always improving, just love it ❤

    Was the Net Interest Expense added or substracted from the operating income? It looks like it was added in this example. 5:05

    've enjoyed the videos and the Stock Unlock Platform, and the education has made me a better investor. I do have a question, Does the Stock Unlock Platform have a Yen-to-Dollar converter, I"ve been looking at some companies traded in Tokyo Stock Exchange, but I have to use a yen-to-dollar conversion calculator since the Yen is 131.63 to 1 Us dollar, it would be nice if the SU platform could do that on the backend.

    • @StockUnlock
      @StockUnlock  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! We are glad to hear that you are enjoying the platform and appreciate you letting us know. That's great! We don't have this feature today, this is the first time someone has asked. We will record this request internally but since it's not highly requested we can't promise any time estimate on it yet
      We are always building and will keep improving the website. So stay tuned! A portfolio tracker is dropping this month and you can pick the currency of the portfolio. So if you create a portfolio and give it a USD currency then it will auto convert all the stocks in it to USD so that can kinda do what you're looking for here!
      We are super excited to launch the feature it has been in testing for 5 months!

    Great video! I'm confused, why is 'Net Income Expense' positive on the income statement and why is added to 'Operating Income'? Isn't it an expense?

    • @StockUnlock
      @StockUnlock  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Apologies if we are mis understanding your question. But there's "Net Income", and then separately "Operating Income". Each take into account expenses for running the business (more expenses are subtracted from the Revenue to get to Net Income, than Operating Income). If you let us know the TH-cam timestamps in this video causing confusion we can add more clarification

      @@StockUnlock I’m sorry for the typo, it’s the ‘Net INTEREST Expense’. At 5:00 in the video. It’s an expense but it’s shown as a positive number and added to the operating income. While the ‘Income Tax Expense’ is also a positive number, but it’s subtracted. Thanks so much for your reply!

    • @DarkPassengerYT
      @DarkPassengerYT 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@jacksJax mate, in case you did not find the answer yet... lt is the the difference between interest expense and interest income. I know what you mean... intuitively we think this number should be negative, but in Googles case, they have assets that generate much more income then their assets or liabalitirs that create interest expense so in their case is it positive. I hope l explained it well enough. Good luck! 😊

    Great video Daniel. Does a company have to pay Taxes on Unrealized Capital Gains?

    • @StockUnlock

      Thanks Ralph! No, but they do have to report the unrealized gains and losses on the income statement which is a bit odd

      Hi Nick thanks for this question. We show GAAP standardized financials. Our data provider Finnhub typically takes a few days to translate the raw reported financials to the GAAP format we show. There are some rare situations where it takes longer and each time we have ben able to ping Finnhub and they update the earnings. I hope this helps! :)
