Hello @jayhoovy, I have been watching your channels for a while now and I enjoy every clip of it. Can you upload the excel that you use for the making of this video please, thank you!
Whilst I can not tell you whether it’s better than education from Harvard/Stanford, this is by far the best video I’ve watched on finance and thank you sir

Love it when someone can explain something so concisely and thoroughly, whatever it may be. A lot of people "explaining" something on TH-cam are more focused on stroking their own ego -- or hiding the fact that they know little. You are a wonderful teacher.

I hereby classify this video as a gem. Its rare, but sometimes on TH-cam you can find super valuable videos that are legendary in their insights. This is one of them. Instant fan.
The fact that university professors use 4 hours a week to explain what a TH-cam video does in 34 minutes because “youtube pushes longer videos” is wild. Great job explaining.
Brilliant presentation. ...And by incorporating the financial modeling concepts to boot, this is among the most valuable 1/2-hour on the internet. Just great stuff -- and can we all give some props for tight editing? Bravo!
Straddling corporations with debt through whatever means (IPO, m&as, direct lending, etc) is of little to no relevance for laypersons struggling with student loans and credit card debt. It's equivalent to someone having a cheat sheet for peasants in 11th century Europe to become powerful land owners/knights. It's non sense.
Been here since the Stanford video when I was craving for self-development content lol Crazy how helpful your videos are for the little recognition you get when posting them. There's no " buy my formation" type of stuff, but pure gold content for free. You build your personal brand by doing so! But also help us launch our career! You're the G.O.A.T jay 💛
u just summarized and taught me my entire financial management course in uni in 30 minutes...when I still couldn't comprehend what my professor was talking about in 10 weeks...wow!
Brilliantly done!! Learned more about building a financial model watching this video than through any other TH-cam videos I’ve found on the same subject. Love love love how much you simplified the explanation. Can’t wait to see what you make next!
Hey Jay, im Tyler from germany. I’m currently 17 years old, applying for college and I really love your content. Around three months ago I didn’t know what I wanted to do, I just felt like I wanted to be behind the scenes. Today with the help of your great videos I not only know that I will peruse a career in IB as I really love advising while basing myself on numbers, I also have a good overview on what an Investment Banker does and the opportunities one has to work in finance. So a big THANK YOU to you for helping me in my journey of finding the right thing for me. I hope you’ll continue this Chanel and go onto helping millions around the world. Maybe one day we can meet and I can try giving back to you, at least some of the help you provided me with! Best wishes from Germany and a big Thank you!❤
Make sure you do not study Economics, Business, Accounting, Investments... Theoretical non-sense. You learn more by You-Tube and Paper trading. And as several people have suggested: do the sciences, like a discipline of engineering at University. IB's like non-business students, more interesting.. why? you will be communicating alot - the knowledge of business is regurgitated often at work and during your training - and you have access to analysts and economics which makes up for your shortfall - so you'll pick it up but you won't be an interesting person if you spoke about it all day and especially to clients. Be different to stand out!
Great video. I like how you are very energetic about explaining what the inside knowledge of Goldman Sach and the big players do behind the scene where the average person doesn't see or know. I'm learning a lot more about what the Ivy league universities teaches without attending it. Keep up the good works.
Hey just wanted to say thank you for making this video. You've shown up on my feed before and your prior content didn't really resonate with me, but this video was immensely useful to me as someone without a finance background that is really interested in the space. Best wishes, and I'd love to see more.
I have a degree in Medical Genetics but I’m pursuing a career in asset tokenisation in crypto. I have no economics or finance background but this video was sent from God! Thank you!
Let me help you out. All tokenomics beyond bitcoin's fair launch are designed for the insiders, VCs & early investors to profit at the expense of later investors. Yes, all of them. There may only be 1 or 2 (or zero) tokens that actually find a use case (other than bitcoin) and you have 20,000+ of them to sort thru. Much easier road to travel with risk free results is learn about bitcoin only & save yourself the doomed path that won't likely end up anywhere helpful to society. Bottom line: study bitcoin, buy bitcoin & go back to medical genetics and offer value to the world that way. Much easier path. I've been in crypto since 2017 and other than bitcoin it's all way more risky than a casino.
Bow down to your sincerety in teaching what the game in general is about without any bs and light illustrative examples. The ending note where you connect cold hard metrics with boardroom and deal dynamics is marvelous. Kudos and thanks 🎉
You're a very clear and enthusiastic communicator, I didn't know it was possible to make a P&L exciting. I think you're probably going to deliver on your mission, and create a lot of positive impact on the world while doing so. :)

I always thought of an investment banker as a real estate agent - they ensure the transaction is done right properly and take a much larger fee than you would have paid if they charged by the hour. Like 100x more.
