Found out about Mike Winger through the Ravi scandal. Watched a few of his vid's since then. This dude is a great , balanced Bible teacher. I will be watching many of his videos.
I love what you said Pastor Mike about how we're not called to change the world as Christians but rather to do what we can. Then God does what He wants with what we do.
Mike Winger is my very favourite apologist. I’ve learn more through him in the last year than the last 16 years as a Christian. God bless you Pastor Mike

We can feed the poor and meet their physical need, but if - in addition - we do not feed them spiritually with the gospel of Jesus Christ, we have failed to love them with the same redemptive love with which God loved us - and we have failed in our mission to make disciples of all nations. That said, I can’t help but think that we - as part of the western church who have been blessed with so much - are falling short of stewarding those resources faithfully to complete the church’s mission not only in our own communities…. but to the ends of the earth. If we couldn’t do it, Jesus wouldn’t have commanded it. Far too often we are so distracted by lesser things, we fail at the most important task that we’ve been given: the great commission.

Great lesson. You’ve given me something to think about with Judas. Bitterness about something or someone in the Church has harmed a lot of people and I had not looked at it like that. But I’m not sure that I agree that he was casting out demons. Jesus did call the disciples together and gave them the authority to use His Name. The disciples as a group came back and talked about what all had happened. But I think it is an assumption to say that Judas also cast out demons. My guess is that you’re right but I’m not certain and I’m thinking about it.

AMEN preacher Mike!!! Jesus first. Sure wish more of my fellow Americans thought like this. ALL true justice comes from the King, and not many are following Him
@@americarocks1776 Sorry for the misunderstanding. I am sure you know how the sanctification process works. We are already saved, but we are constantly in this process of being saved and becoming more like Jesus. That's what I was trying to get at. Thanks!
The seeds of salvation are found in the witness of our compassion. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Psalm 22 is amazing. A prophecy about the cross and the spreading of the gospel all over the world as well as a mighty answer to all who feel that God has forsaken them. It also proves that the holy spirit is God. How else can people attain such insight into the future? No other religion has such proof. And the atheists are blind to it, even though it is right in front their eyes. We are following the one true Lord. No doubt about it.
Thank you Lord for the insight you have blessed this man with, and the motivation you gave him to do the work of bringing it to us. Lord thank you for opening my eyes to truth about the meaning of the gospel in a profound way.
Thinking about the woman who gave all she could to Jesus with that alabaster perfume. That Jesus honored her in such a way as to connect it to the gospel telling of future generations makes me pause to think how I can honor the Lord with the best I've got. I may not have expensive perfume, but what can I give that would honor Him. Good food for thought.
Living in the South now, I have see on very old tombstones "She hath done what she could" I never knew where that came from. I thought she just had difficult children.
Mike! I found you through Ruslan’s channel and I’m incredibly grateful for that. This was much needed and incredibly educating for me. I can’t wait for the rest of the Mark series!
Really appreciate your teaching Mike! The correlation with the Deuteronomy verse is very important! Some of the teaching by G.K. Chesterton on "Christian Distributism" is very Biblically balanced! Thank you!
Pastor Mike, no need to apologize and be concerned about people's reaction. The truth will set us free. If I may be so bold as to give you advice I would encourage you to preach the Gospel (truth), sow the seeds and our Lord will provide the harvest. God Bless
What a beautiful explanation of the Lord's anointing before His death! I've never thought of it that way. All these things (the gifts at His birth, entering Jerusalem on a mule etc. pointing at the deity of the Lord in the most subtle but powerful manner
Since we always have been given all we ever need..."Consider the lilies"...poverty only exists in our minds. In this world, our minds will always have false ideas until we go home.
Amen and thank you for this very applicable teaching! Your insight on double-mindedness and the "feigned piety" of social justice revealed in Mark 14:4-5 serves as witness to Jesus' teaching on the same issue, in Matthew 6:1-4: “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly."
Thank you for reminding believers of our mission. The world and its Philosophy is making in roads into the churches. Thank you for taking a stand and teaching a biblical worldview. When you stand on the side of truth ….you have nothing to worry about.
I remember my pastor saying that this the case but specifically the widows and those who are unable to work. Otherwise (as pastor MW pointed out) the fellowship would be completely overwhelmed with requests.
We aren't lobbying to refuse aid to the poor. We just think there are better avenues that can be taken to accomplish that, rather than making the government responsible for it. Charities/shelters for example. The hang up is that if any institution could get away with corruption it would be the government, so the less we rely on big gov the better.
@@seraphina77 No, the government is not here to care, provide, or protect its citizens. I am responsible for my own care, provision, and protection. As a Christian, I am called to love others and provide for the poor, sick, orphans, widows. That is not the purpose of the State.
@@seraphina77 Your point was "The government does certain things, so that means the government is correct and within its rights to do those things". It's circular logic (and just because they get away with it doesn't mean it is right or appropriate). The Federal and State Constitutions outline the responsibilities of those bodies. The Federal Government has a very narrow purview, yet these days has its tentacles reaching into almost every aspect of a person's life. Just to take one of those -- education is not a function of the Federal government, and arguably neither should it be at the state level. Control & funding of schools should be left up to the local communities they serve. Some state constitutions essentially consider the "local community" to be all the citizens of that state and the state government will have an hand in regulating local school districts (which I think is a bad idea, but each community is allowed to set their own rules).
God is absolutely amazing. He has placed so many markers/patterns for us to continue to find and follow. No matter where you are in your Christian walk, the Bible is always the place to find your direction.
Thanks you ! Exactly, the poors are indeed the primary target of the gospel, Luke 7:22 "The good news is preached to the poor" The parrallel passage in Mark 14:7 is also enlightening "The poor you will always have with you and *you can help them whenever you want* but you will not always have Me" and Matt 25:31-46 doing good to the poors is the same as doing good to Jesus himself.
Thank you for the ending of this message Mike...I have been living a double life and needed to hear you say this. I have given myself over to a pornography addiction that has become grossly perverse. I use to be disturbed by the things that now don’t phase me. It is something I hide and am ashamed of. I have been following your work for many months and really feel your heart for the Lord. It always uplifts and inspires me.
Don't just try to stop the lewdness. Try to worship the worthy Saviour more and more and more and the things of earth (like beautiful alabaster jars) will fall away into the dust. You are repentant and will find grace every day, like daily bread. You are finding your true love and acceptance and purpose as a worshipper and warrior in the Kingdom. God has great plans for you to lead others into wholeness and humility. Honesty is where it starts. You're not hiding anymore. You're coming into the light with truth! Praise the Lord!
@@markohakkola5180 Thank you for the reminder. I have had many addictions in my life. The only time that hunger has been eradictated is when I have been close to the Lord.
@43 minutes, do what your Lord directs, no matter how others perceive, respond or react...this takes courage and faith. What we are , forgiven and redeemed, redefines our living. I give out of the depth of His riches, not Out of anything He needed from me. Poured out as wine upon the altar, broken as bread to feed the hungry, living sacrifices are we. Blessed Resurrection Day, family of God Most High
That was a long-awaited discussion mic I loved every bit of it and right now we need this because our world is so confusing and it's confusing us as Christians of what were to believe and not believe and a lot of times the government who already takes our money and spends it the way they want to instead of leaving it up to us you find yourself in a position where you end up with not a lot of money but you still feel the obligation to get the word of Christ out there by supporting ministries and I struggle with that a lot
Pastor Mike this is good break down of scripture , thanks for being an instrument of God, may i add that there was jealousy on Judas's path jealous of Yeshua

You never have to apologize to me for “offending.” I wish the Holy Spirit to speak to me in your teaching. Thank you!
Great video Mike. I’m so glad the trope of only the church helping the poor is dealt with. Governments can be corrupt but more often, worldwide, charities arent present or able, so both needs to be there.

Salute brother, you're doing very very very very important work! I hope I can have a convo with you someday.
This is such a good word 👏 🙌. I know this was more so in the last video, but I love the clarification of the 2 women who poured oil out on Jesus. And that there were 2 reasons and 2 women and 2 critiques and 2 rebukes. It's so cool and I just never noticed before how it's 2 different accounts.
Thank you Mike for being the voice of reason in a world of insanity. More preachers can and shoulder talk about how politics on (whatever side) poison the teachings of scripture and distort it. We should all learn to "Think Biblically about everything" regardless of what your political affiliation is.
Great teaching on the understanding of the symbolism and culture of that time for this scripture✝️ God knows the heart, and Judas was willing to betray Jesus. We all need to turn our hearts over to God every day, because the wolf is always at the door🙏
Thank you Pastor Mike…your teachings are some of my absolute favorite 😊 Quick comment about the Sunday gatherings mentioned in the New Testament…I have heard it said that they gathered to deal and collect the money on the first day of the week because they were forbidden to handle money on the sabbath…so it’s not saying that they no longer gathered and worshipped on the Sabbath but that the business was dealt with on the first day of the week instead of the sabbath.
35:59 ... YYYYOOOOOO !!! MUCH RESPECT !!! I've always loved reading how Paul did the same thing and admired that so much and here you go following in Paul's footsteps...wow man, salute brother. --- For those who don't know, 1 Corinthians 9:14-15 says, (In the same way the Lord commanded those who proclaim the gospel to receive their living by the gospel. But I have not used any of these rights. And I am not writing these things so that something will be done for me. In fact, it would be better for me to die than - no one will deprive me of my reason for boasting!)
This made me reassess my thinking on government providing for the poor - pastor Mike, thank you for sharing the truth of Scripture.

Look at you, Mike, jumping into the fray with this much needed perspective! Thank you for keeping us focused, balanced, humble, and most of all biblical 🥰❤️ Right on point....super duper.
AMEN preacher Mike!!! Jesus first. Sure wish more of my fellow Americans thought like this. ALL true justice comes from the King, and not many are following Him
I can never fault trying to be more Christian - God bless you, Pastor Mike
@@americarocks1776 Sorry for the misunderstanding. I am sure you know how the sanctification process works. We are already saved, but we are constantly in this process of being saved and becoming more like Jesus. That's what I was trying to get at. Thanks!
@@americarocks1776 Perhaps "trying to be MORE Christian" would have been better phrasing.
@@americarocks1776 I edited my comment. Let me know if you have problems with the current phrasing
@@americarocks1776 Thanks for your feedback!
Thank you pastor Mike for doing this series it has been great a blessing in my life. God bless you continue sharing the good word💜
Thank you, Mike. A blessing, as always! Thank you also, Mods, for the effort that you all put in.
Thank you Lord for the insight you have blessed this man with, and the motivation you gave him to do the work of bringing it to us. Lord thank you for opening my eyes to truth about the meaning of the gospel in a profound way.
Thank you for clarification on multiple Mary’s .
Thank you brother. Well done, praise Jesus Christ for your ministry. God bless you Mike.
I cannot give this enough thumbs up.👍👍👍👍👍
Mike! I found you through Ruslan’s channel and I’m incredibly grateful for that. This was much needed and incredibly educating for me. I can’t wait for the rest of the Mark series!
Mike I really appreciate your being follow what you think the Bible says on social topics above all else.
Really appreciate your teaching Mike! The correlation with the Deuteronomy verse is very important! Some of the teaching by G.K. Chesterton on "Christian Distributism" is very Biblically balanced! Thank you!
Amén brother. Thank the Lord for your obedience.
I wanna me like “Mike” when I grow up! 😜
Bro, thank you for what you do. The Lord continue using you!
Be like Jesus instead
Your insight on double-mindedness and the "feigned piety" of social justice revealed in Mark 14:4-5 serves as witness to Jesus' teaching on the same issue, in Matthew 6:1-4:
“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them.
When reading through my Bible I found out that we are actually to care of the needy in the church first.
Yep
I remember my pastor saying that this the case but specifically the widows and those who are unable to work. Otherwise (as pastor MW pointed out) the fellowship would be completely overwhelmed with requests.
That, however, does not mean we should allow people to take advantage of the church.
Taking care of the window should not just be monetary but should consist of labor, helps and food. Which is a real showing of Christian love.
« 10. Therefore, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good toward all-especially those who belong to the household of faith.
»
Galatians 6:10
We aren't lobbying to refuse aid to the poor. We just think there are better avenues that can be taken to accomplish that, rather than making the government responsible for it. Charities/shelters for example. The hang up is that if any institution could get away with corruption it would be the government, so the less we rely on big gov the better.
@@seraphina77 Government is here to govern, not manage charity
@@seraphina77 The state wields the sword. So we should love others with the sword?
@@seraphina77 No, the government is not here to care, provide, or protect its citizens. I am responsible for my own care, provision, and protection. As a Christian, I am called to love others and provide for the poor, sick, orphans, widows. That is not the purpose of the State.
@@seraphina77 The government does many things that are out of its purview. State overreach is rampant.
Exactly, the poors are indeed the primary target of the gospel, Luke 7:22 "The good news is preached to the poor"
The parrallel passage in Mark 14:7 is also enlightening "The poor you will always have with you and *you can help them whenever you want* but you will not always have Me"
and Matt 25:31-46 doing good to the poors is the same as doing good to Jesus himself.
Wow, thanks for sharing your perspective Pastor Winger....I've gained new insights which I can apply right away.
Thanks again Pastor Mike.
"Lies Exposed & Truth Revealed" is a must read for all Christians along with your Bibles
Good talk.
I think you treated this subject very fairly and thoroughly in this presentation.
I'm a fan.
I think your priorities are in the proper place, Mike. Keep fighting the fine fight, brother. Agape to you and yours!
Amen, thank you for this ministry!💜
@43 minutes, do what your Lord directs, no matter how others perceive, respond or react...this takes courage and faith. What we are , forgiven and redeemed, redefines our living.
I give out of the depth of His riches, not
Out of anything He needed from me.
I LOOOVE your comments about sponsoring churches in poor communities.
Everyone should watch the last 10 minutes of this video.
I hope you does a video on ‘the slow slide’.
What a great idea ....a wealthy church supporting a poor one . And loving God is THE most important, so true.
Pastor Mike this is good break down of scripture , thanks for being an instrument of God, may i add that there was jealousy on Judas's path jealous of Yeshua
Good to know that names ( Mary, Simon , James) and alabaster boxes and anointings were very common at that time .!
This is such good teaching. Thank you! :)
Wonderful teaching!! I always learn much.
One word
powerful!
Loving doing Mark...but I'm really looking forward to you doing Hebrews...hoping it is next
I’m an intelligent Christian women who has been “learning” about the scriptures over 40 years. I’m not .... stupid:) I know I’m not 100 percent right in all my thinking (you know, maybe only 90). I APPRECIATE people who make me think and cause me to rethink the way I think. That is healthy! Debate is good. It’s how we learn. You never have to apologize to me for “offending.” I wish the Holy Spirit to speak to me in your teaching. Thank you!
One of my favorites!
Pastor Mike, your brutally honest truth telling os the reason WHY I subscribed last week. You're a boss.
Great video Mike. I’m so glad the trope of only the church helping the poor is dealt with. Governments can be corrupt but more often, worldwide, charities arent present or able, so both needs to be there.
man, as much as I don't agree with some fundamental things (ie. trinity and law of attraction parallels), you sir are def 1 of my top 3 fav Christian Apologetic leaders...love your unbiased approach and how you never shy away from any tough topics or controversies. Salute brother, you're doing very very very very important work! I hope I can have a convo with you someday.
Thank you so much for these videos, pastor Mike.😎👍🏻
Amen Mike!
Hallelujah on so many levels! Meaty content Mike. :)
Oh wow, I was reading and studying this the other day!
Good words P. Mike - appreciate this much needed message 👍
love his way of answering questions
Good word brother. I wish I had understood this years ago.
I'm so glad to have found your channel, Pastor! Great teaching!!!
Thank you Pastor Mike…your teachings are some of my absolute favorite 😊
Quick comment about the Sunday gatherings mentioned in the New Testament…I have heard it said that they gathered to deal and collect the money on the first day of the week because they were forbidden to handle money on the sabbath…so it’s not saying that they no longer gathered and worshipped on the Sabbath but that the business was dealt with on the first day of the week instead of the sabbath.
