Sturgeon R looks super fun. Sunset at 31:52 is glamour and 10/10.

Hey again, I hadn't seen this one before your Bowland creek video, nice! I was also at the put in where you started when up there the other day, the water level look nearly identical now. I have been there when the rocks at the start are well under water. When I saw your nice Werner carbon bent shaft paddle tip out on the way back up that brought back memories of loosing mine. I eventually replaced it with a longer than Werner provides AquaBound carbon bent shaft, forget if I went 250 or 260 where the longest Werner I could get was 240.

I have done it starting from the Gervais Landing access road twice and once starting from Matagamasi. I ran into a couple who were on the road who had driven to the end in hopes that the water levels were so low that they could drive right across the Sturgeon at the Gervais Landing access point (where the bridge was removed) as they had a cabin on the other side. I want to do the Sturgeon next year within 2 weeks of ice-out. Sorry about your paddle, that would have sucked! I almost forgot my carbon fibre detachable yoke but I made the mission back for it!

your route was a bit vague- you ended up at Kettle fAlls portaging in from the west? So you went back up the Sturgeon from Kettle Falls to a creek? What was your route?@@wildernesscanuck

@jonathanberger2146 I went to Kettle falls from the Gervais Landing access point then back up to Bowland Creek which I took West back to the logging road then walked 12km back to my car. If you watch the video I posted after this one you'll see the Bowland Creek travel.

nice; if you have an opportunity you might want to learn about polling for both up stream and down stream travel. you dragged your canoe through shallows and deeps that can be climbed with the pole without getting out.@@wildernesscanuck
