As a latinamerican my self I'm blown away that you're reacting to Soda Stereo! They were the most epic rock band in Latin America.. originally from Argentina ( that's why you see the drummer with that shirt on!) This song, De música ligera, "Of light Music" is one of their greatest hits. The concert was in Buenos Aires many years ago.. and then a lot of great moments and memories past though my mind just remembering that song.. my Goddddd. The band members are Gustavo Cerati, who unfortunately past away some years ago, guitar and lyrics. Zeta Bossio , bass guitar and Charlie Alberti, drums. Their music catalogue is immense and they were active for many years filling stadiums all over our region... Please take note of this song if you want to react to them again: It's called En la Ciudad de la Furia and it's one of their greatest hits. It's actually an Unplugged but then Plugged version from their US tour back in the day.. th-cam.com/video/kuZii-vk5Xw/w-d-xo.html

“They all know the lyrics”. I would say that each and every Latin American knows the lyrics. It doesn’t matter if people don’t like rock music, “De música ligera” is one of those anthems in spanish that no one can’t ignore.
I have to agree with everything you said about this band and the performance. They kind of do remind me of the Beatles and other bands from the 70's and 80's. That crowd was incredible! Thanks for sharing this and have a nice weekend............ :-)
Soda Stereo was more like The Police than The Beatles, in fact, Gustavo Cerari (the singer of Soda) recorded a couple of songs with Andy Summers and tells the legend that Cerati was very close to being part of The Police.
I knew you will gonna find this amazing band. This is one of those pretty rare talents that sound the same or even better than the CD when they performance alive. The singer passed away and that is why we keep this band so near to our hearts, because they are a legend. Tyvm and you got it right: *Gracias,* *totales*

If we compare the best Argentine bands with the best international bands, this would be the approximate result: Soda Stereo and HIT were like The Police; Sumo was a mix of Joy Division with reggae; Virus was like David Bowie; Serú Girán were like the Beatles, the Vox Dei were like Jimmy Hendrix; León Gieco is like Bob Dylan; La Renga is incomparable; "Los Redondos" is incredibly unique and Charly García is the perfect fusion between John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Mozart and Mick Jagger.

Dude, the emotion you see in the video was because this concert was called "El Último Concierto" (The Last Concert) because after this, the band went on a hiatus that lasted 10 years. And as you may have noticed, this is the last song they played (until they came back, of course). And it's their biggest hit, so everyone on the crowd knew the song by heart.
Indio Solari who was part of “Los Redonditos de ricota” and Soda Stereo were probably latin americas biggest bands, both from Argentina, who has the best Rock and metal crowds
Awesome bro! Thank you for enjoy the music. Is intereting for me to see people from Europe who has never listened to Soda or some other bands from Southamerica. And the vibe from Argentina is the best, every musician said that. I understand you been from England understand the football vibe, wich is the same here in this music.
Thanks my friend!! I apreciate that you take your time to know SODA STEREO. Now, if you want to move forward react to EN LA CIUDAD DE LA FURIA 2007. Cosmic. Huge hug.
So, I noticed you did an Indio Solari video and you were impressed by the crowd's enthusiasm. I think that and this are very typical reactions of South American crowds to really really big bands. Los Redondos and Soda Stereo were Argentina's reigning champions of rock during the 80s and 90s and the dynamic that their crowds brought to the rock en español scene was very similar to that of football crowds. The football chanting (olé olé soda soda) and the almost visceral mutual dislike of their respective fan bases made you think this is all about football (particularly River-Boca, with all the social implications) rather than about music. A note about the title. Someone below translated it as "Of Light Music", which is not only missing the point, but a bit misleading. "Música ligera" does mean "light music" literally, but that is the term used by musicologists and critics to describe pop and later on, rock music. The Beatles played "música ligera", so did the Stones and Soda Stereo. Here, writing about "amor de music ligera" Cerati is either talking about loving rock and roll itself, or describing a rock-and-roll-like crazy love affair. There's nothing light about any of this.
. You loved the crowd, huh? --- go and react to "Thunderstruck" AC/DC in River Plate Stadium.... that´s absolutely IN-SANE. Cheers from Argentina... the Land of passion for Rock `n´ Roll
