I definitely feel like they could have been clearer on that last point, but it's not that wild for Vaggie to assume her case was special for some reason. Charlie getting Rosie and Cannibal Town to rally around her call to arms is akin to a monarch calling one of their lords to battle, and Rosie and the Cannibals answered the call. For the first time in Hell's history, a member of royalty sounded a call to arms and the SINNERS answered. This episode serves as proof that Charlie is on the road to becoming Queen of Hell. She still has a long way to go-I for one look forward to when she realizes that sometimes a monarch needs to be wrathful-but it's the first step. She has proven that she CAN rally support to her side, support that has no direct reason to answer the call.
I think my favorite detail is that Charlie fails to convince Suzan and snaps, when she's doubting herself, but after gaining her confidence and moxie back, she handles her so seamlessly that Suzan can't even complain at her. The sparkle is there, the showmanship, and it's not mediocre anymore. She's even nodding sagely at one point.
I think most of lesser characters in the series can be seen as cameos in the pilot including Carmilla, Zestial, Mimzy, Razzle & Dazzle, the Vees. Even the round headed smoking guy can be seen at one point.
