Very inspiring for m as well. Had no idea about trading before May 2024 and this was my first video. (Thanks TH-cam). After struggling to find a strategy for two months and losing a bit of change in the process, I now feel ready to go all in. Thanks for the interview guys. I believe that, through consistency, you get better and any strategy you may develop. You can work on your body or spirit and apply any amount of focus in this business. No matter how much better you may get at the end of the day no one owns the market. The rule is: do not risk what you can't afford to lose. (All depends on the capital you have) If you have $200,000 and risking $2,000 at every trade that is a 1% risk on your capital. You're good you see. It's good to be emotionally strong but the longevity of your account will rely first on rules and discipline applied.

Outside of trading or business. The things Flip is saying applies to life. Doubting yourself, or someone else is destructive for you. And when you ponder on something, it can make it worse. You gotta set it and forget it. And be OK with losing. You'll end up winning regardless.

It seems fake. I’m not saying it’s not legit, I’m just simply saying the way they explain seems simple. The way my mind works, if I’m using 2k to make 10-15k a day. Why not put 2k on the opposite swing meaning if I put 2k on the same trade using two different accounts, but two different actions in my mind it seems like it guaranteed to print money. Trading isn’t that simple though so I’ll have to do some research.

Doesn’t work like that. Most of the millionaire traders know that risk management is really important. None of them are putting half a mil in a trade and are willing to lose it. You only put up what you comfortable possibly losing
My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading

He's basically trading with the same risk management as a 100k prop firm account (risking 1% per trade ie 1k) without the risk of more drawdown. Think about it. I salute the dude lol
I hope you don’t take that 1% rule seriously. Don’t do that. If you have the skills then you need to reduce the risk of outliers. You don’t risk 1% if your daily drawdown is 5% . I would blow up every other day if that were the case. Sure you might have 20k-30k days risking 1% on every position but the risk of ruin is 100% . I have so many 6-8 losing streaks, you waste so much time getting funded again and again. If you can make 10k on a good day risking 1% with 100k then cut it in half. If you can make 5k on a good day then cut it in half again. It adds up once you take it as a full time job.

Never heard this perspective before. Really interesting take and a good convo. Also, when u said about the your mind "rationalising" that isnt actually rationale. That is a mental hijacking of your amygdala. Speaking to yourself of all the reasons to exit a trade is fear from scarcity thinking. Most of us suffer. Its like a flight or fight response where the profits are too much to handle persay and the brains discomfort is trying to escape that situation. "Just take the money" "broo that's like 3 months rent there close it close it"😂😂 the voices. But yh it's actually the opposite of rationalising but it disguises its self so well. Check out Rande Howell he breaks down the neuro science behind trading very well. Real Eye opener on what is actually happening chemically in the brain during trading.. He's basically trading with the same risk management as a 100k prop firm account (risking 1% per trade ie 1k) without the risk of more drawdown. Think about it. I salute the dude lol
I hope you don’t take that 1% rule seriously. Don’t do that. If you have the skills then you need to reduce the risk of outliers. You don’t risk 1% if your daily drawdown is 5% . I would blow up every other day if that were the case. Sure you might have 20k-30k days risking 1% on every position but the risk of ruin is 100% . I have so many 6-8 losing streaks, you waste so much time getting funded again and again. If you can make 10k on a good day risking 1% with 100k then cut it in half. If you can make 5k on a good day then cut it in half again. It adds up once you take it as a full time job.
So good I had to come back and rewatch 2x!
