I am wondering how the new Goodyear Weatherready 2 tires would perform compared to these. Even dough traction rating is on locked tire, the Goodyears show Traction A, compared to B on the Michelin. I've heard that Goodyears would also give you a softer more comfortable ride in rough roads.
I have no doubt the WeatherReadys are on par with cutting edge tread technology, but a genuine comparisons between the two that could actually help anyone really make a choice is a tough one.
I put a new set of these on my Optima about 5000 miles ago and couldn’t be happier. Drove from Nashville to Dallas recently the day after the Arkansas ice storms. It was raining steadily from Nashville to the far side of Little Rock, and the entire state of Arkansas was basically a sheet of ice. Roads were pretty clear of ice/snow, but the rain was relentless. I never once felt the slightest lack of confidence in the feel of my car on that trip. It was truly odd to not feel nervous under the circumstances. Highly recommended.
Put a set of these on my wife's 2019 Honda Odyssey in late 2022. Greatly impressed with the wet weather traction... We had a light winter, so I didn't get to test snow performance, but my wife didn't have issues in the snow going up the hill to her office. If I still have my 2013 Camry come Spring 2024, I'll probably put a set on that too.
The date code? I think you can see it at 0.55 which looks to be January 22. The code is a little unorthodox from how you're used to seeing it written. Not sure why. This date makes sense as these tires just hit the market when I ordered them and made this vid.
You should still check my findings as Michelin may think people are catching on to their "lie" and they may change some of the specs on the SUV or come up with some other marketing attribute I wasn't able to see.
I'm not sure I fully understand your question. 65 is the aspect ratio. It is 65% of 225 which is the width, therefore, we must have taller tires here in the USA than in Europe. Maybe because everyone here is so fat, they find it easier to get into a taller vehicle?
Thanks for your review. I'm revisiting this vid as they are now selling the CC2SUV, not the CCSUV. Any info on whether this is the same as the old CCSUV, or is it an improvement? It does cost more than the standard CC2 we also have here in Europe.
I wish I could be of more help, but I could only review what tire I had in front of me at the time of this video vs the specs of the CCSUV. From how they faux marketed the CCSUV, I wouldn't put it past Michelin to simply rename it to the CC2SUV with no discernible difference from the CCSUV. I would need real proof that it's a better tire before just assuming it is just cause Michelin says or suggests it is. You still can't go wrong with the regular CC2 in my opinion, so if you need tires soon and have trouble finding clean 3rd party data on the CC2SUV, I'd just look for the best price on the CC2 and go with it. JMHO
Very little RN. The tread is staggered and designed to be quiet. You can barely feel the tread when driving. Not nearly as bad as my Camry with snow tires
I think they're a 60,00+ mile tire, but it really depends on a lot of factors. That's what this video is for. My wife does not coddle these tires at all. She jack-rabbit starts and brakes and corners hard with little regard to the tires. She's over due for having them rotated and I'm over due for checking the pressure, which I will be doing tomorrow.
Do you think i can put 195/65 R15 on my Jimny GJ. I would go a little offroad with them some pointy stones sometimes too or driving over big roots with them in the woods.
I think the tread would probably be fine, especially when they're newer, but they are NOT made for that type of terrain driving. It's the sidewall I'd be worried about more than the tread. Decent off road tires also have a rim protector which CC2s don't have.
@@dbfcrell8300 ...interesting, does the XL version of these tires also not have rim protection? I have momo 4Run M4 All Season 205/55R16 tires now and they have a protective edge for the tread!
I've got a Ford Taurus and I'm getting the 2's. It's a heavy sedan that eats tires. I'll do 5000 a month on the interstate a month. Hoping it's a good tire.
My wife drives emotionally most of the time, which means jackrabbit starts, last minute hard turns and hard braking, etc. So far, her CC2s are holding up fine with about 6k miles on them. I plan on keeping viewers posted of her tires 1/2-life wear and total wear stats. Stay tuned! PS, she checked her own oil level today, so there's still hope for her caring about her tires.
@@dbfcrell8300 she is getting her hands dirty! That's awesome. I tell you what, the drive home this evening was really nice. Its the finest looking tire I have ever seen, but around town is good. 500 mile trip tomorrow, we will see.

Just them on my BMW GT. 245/45R19. Love them so far. Winter will be the test.
