This sounds and feels awesome... Xenogears soundtrack is without a doubt one of the most incredible game soundtracks ever composed. Decades after its release, these tunes never miss, always hit.
A Xenogears remake in HD2D would be awesome...

Would like it finished and ABSOLUTELY nothing for Modern Audiences!
The original audio needs to be rescored, but yes, use the same sheet music but improve the audio fidelity. I also wouldn't mind additional filler tracks in scenes where something like this, a guitar melody, plays in the background to convey a certain mood and motif. There's a reason why we're all in hear crying. This is the title track, that some how connects, but also contrasts, the simplicity of Fei's life at the beginning of the game, but later it feels almost nostalgic and winsome as you learn that the world is bigger, more complex and broken than you realize. It conveys both emotions--the simplicity of ignorance of life, but later, the longing for a former simpler time in a complex world. It's a masterpiece--a guitar solo like this fits well with dialog where someone is wrestling with their place in a broken world, asking themselves if they should return to a simpler life (or fight to try too), or actual go on to fight and save the world and make it a better place.
And make it a ONE TIME RELEASE. FFVii (my favorite game, while it's visually stunning...the battles mechanics are not able to to to do half of the mechanics ... sad.

All the tracks you've been posting, I dug up my 2 disc copy of the OST and have been listening to it on the way to and from work. Good stuff. Are you going to post the two vocal tracks from the OST? IIRC they didn't actually play during the game itself but they're still nice.
Small Two of Pieces is the Ending Theme so it does play.
What doesn‘t play is Stars of Tears

Xenogears deserves a remake imho. The game was considered incomplete when it got released on two separate discs. The devs did not have enough time and resources to make a full game (and if they did it would probably span over a few discs considering how small a CD can hold back in the days). It has great storytelling, possibly one of the last few games with such depth that recent games can't compare.. deserves to be retold to the current gen..😢
