You can tell the interviewer really liked the movie a lot😂
He's Kevin McCarthy, Fox 5 D.C. I see him every morning, he's always geeking out in a good way lol
All the movie critics are speaking very highly of this film so far.
mysterymediacorp very good. Favorite of the year so far. Slightly better than Split.
Spoiler free review: letterboxd.com/rustydetective/film/get-out-2017/
NOT AT ALL better then split !!!!
Joe Reina I think Split was good, but could've been produced a little better.
He has the best American accent I've ever heard! I thought he was American no lie!
Dena Newton Him and Idris Elba
americans have no accent. its just plain lol.
Jalen Thompson u dumb af
kgfan that lady from gone girl has a European accent too.
Jalen Thompson Everyone has an accent, sweetheart.
I work at a movie theater, and every white girl-black guy couple coming out of this movie when it ended was so awkward 😆😅
Every white girlfriend leaving the theater*
Babe I can’t find the keys, lol jk
@SIQBOY 22 W
@SIQBOY 22 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hahahaha
Bruh my second time seeing your comment first it was the fake call scene
Im really happy this movie is getting high praise very very happy
BIlly DRockStar Same I thought it was going to suck but it didn't.
Deric James Really as soon as i saw a 20 second trailer i knew it was going to be a gem.
J Moore I know right.
BIlly DRockStar ey calm down on all that happy.... ill call trump
Lol that's funny
This guys American accent is amazing, I would never of thought this dude was English
The Slick Android There are a ton of Brits and Ozzie's that can pull off the American accent really well.
The Slick Android millie is fucking great
Christian Bale too
I never knew Idris Elba was a Brit either
I heard it come through at certain points in the movie. But yeah he's good
The interviewer is sooo good; his enthusiasm and the way he structures his questions is really great... it was more of a conversation than an interview. Loved it👌👌👌
phantom diaries I think he genuinely liked the movie that’s why. Most of these interviewers are fake as hell
You're a marxist.
Yes!!!!!!! He did a phenomenal job.
You should check out his other interviews with celebrities. You can see that the people he interviews actually enjoy having a conversation with him because he actually shows interest/passion as well as does his research. The interviewer is a hard core movie fan. A lot of times, he'd mention one of their works/movies from the past that not that much people know about and then you see the reaction from the celebrities and their face light up. He actually makes them feel comfortable without trying too hard.
He asked the same questions. Tbh there should of been more questions
He asks the best questions.
Nigel Algoo Jr But Donald Trump has the best words.
No sir, I have the best words!! lol
Nigel Algoo Jr u from Junction City Kansas
Nigel Algoo Jr wrote
A Bussey you could tell the interviewer was asking questions personally because he wasnt even looking at the questions
I feel uncomfortable seeing the two of them together at this point in my life.
Nitasha Johnson 😂😂😂😂at this point in my life. Love it.
Nitasha Johnson at this point in my life I'm like why are they even interacting right now
you are beatiful
Black women are racist
Same.
plot twist: he's still hypnotized
MIND BLOWN 🔥🎆
I fixed that. W'Kabi is no longer allowed around white women.
Master Roshi oh no
Master Roshi :O
Plot twist...you are all still hypnotized
Wait, so he has a fake american accent in the movie?? Give this guy an oscar
American media is EVERYWHERE. It makes it easier for us foreigners to pick an American accent.
The Brits do a better job with the American accents than the other way around. I never would have guessed he was British.
20 Dollar Gold Piece, Yeah, that makes sense. I imagine if we Americans were exposed to more British media we would be able to pull off the accent better.
Anyone can do an American accent. I am Australian and I can do an American accent.
Geo as you know there isn't just one American accent. Near the northern states like the Dakotas they sound Canadian. In Southern California some have the "surfer" accent. We have also have the southern and northeast accents that while all sound similar, are different variations of a common dialect. For example, I'm from California and have what would be considered a Midwest accent. My English accent is much easier to do for me than say the New York or New Jersey accent. It just depends. Btw, one of my favorite accents is aussie. I love the way you guys speak out of all the English dialects HANDS DOWN.
Bruh him and Idris Elba are talented brothers faking that American accent man 😂😂😂
American media is EVERYWHERE. It makes it easier for us foreigner to pick an American accent.
Dont forget John Boyega
No, John Boyega is not a good actor. He is overrated in my opinion.
TheOfficialLTP also Dominic West who worked with Idris Elba on the wire is British too. I didn't know about either of them's origins until after I watched the show
Also the girl on that madea movie I can do bad all by myself. The teenage girl
Legend says he’s still asking for those keys.
lol
Good one lol 😂
Chino Gaming
His purpose in life is finding those keys.
Im crying! Lol
_ djchino _ best comment🤣🤣
He played the shit outta that role. Great movie...
Gave me pure chills, classic film.
Well that's one way to put it
No. The shit stayed in.
I dislike her in real life..Thats how good of an actress she is
Ikr😂😂
tumbi97 lmaoo me too
Lmao fr😂😒
tumbi97 ommmmmm
tumbi97 factssssss
The male lead fucking KILLED IT. The scene where he gets hypnotized, I WAS FUCKING ENTRANCED by his acting. Amazing. The female lead was awesome as well. That switch up in voice and expressions when she's looking for the keys to when she snaps out of pretending, fucking GOT ME. SUCH A GOOD MOVIE
Well, His next movie, NOPE is releasing in 2022 and Daniel kaluuya is again working in it. This is like Martin scorsese-Robert Deniro cinematic friendship in making. Will love to see his next one.
@@avanishdutta2658 I know this was two years ago, but I just watched "NOPE" for the first time, And I am completely blown away it's shocking and scary, Yet very exciting and confusing you have to watch it again to understand, And that's what I find fond of Mr Jordans movies, And Daniel is THAT MAN he's IT he makes me wanna act in movies too! I love his acting and skills so much he's great
This movie deserves an oscar! Pure genius! I loved how it focused more on stereotypes associated with black people more than just another movie centered around racism.
Christopher Green which still did focus on racial issues in a subtle way whites can understand
Ya a tad bit, but not to the point where people should be blabbering about "Race Bait!".
Christopher Green
who was your theater filled with? Mostly white, black, or other?
Christopher Green It also focuses on white people's tendency to see color first instead of the person, and making dumb remarks to sound cool.
Christopher Green Honestly you gotta blame that on the trailers. The trailer made it seem like a huge race baiting movie, while the actual film isn't even sort of like that
Daniel Is English!? WOW, his accent is AWESOME! The movie was mind blowing!!
he's got to be the first black brit to get top billing in any film .
Lechiffresix six no.
first season of black mirror. check it out
Lechiffresix six Boyega in Star Wars? Idris Elba?
Moh Corp also we have our own films in the U.K...
I can't believe the budget for this movie was only 4 million
And got more then $200M
Stonks!!
I mean they didn't spend much right? They can easily faking the fire of the house and they only broke couples of car. Like, it was reasonable for what they did with the movie.
Edit: and what made this movie so great is that it is heavily characters' driven.
🤫...genius😏
and its 4 million times better than any Marvel movie with abudget of 4 billion

LOL
FilmStrife they created the language

It's very easy.
as an american with a mid-western accent i dont know what it's like to imitate that style of sound
I knew he looked familiar. He's the guy from Black Mirror.
Sen 千 One of the best episodes.
and sicario
He's also Posh Kenneth from the uk 'skins'. For those in their 30's 😁
Sen 千 one of my favourite episodes and this is one of my favourite horror movies. What an actor
Also from kick ass
I know that she was just acting in the movie but I'm looking at her with a mad face lolol

@Giulia. Yes, but this person obviously isn’t. Don’t make a mountain out of a mole hill.
I loved how Allison potrayed her character. She totally nailed it.
She nailed at being a racist white woman throughout the interviews too. Always talking over Daniel.
Yeah, all the actors were great in it. Daniel gets lots of praise obviously, but she was great as well. The scene where she's on the phone :D
I only want to see this movie because of Daniel Kaluuya. He was the main character in my favorite Black Mirror episode.
That was one of my favorite episodes too
He was good in Sicario, too.
Is it wrong that the only reason that I know him is because of Johnny English Reborn?
he started in 'Skins' and also wrote for the show as a teen.
he was in skins? what season?
Damm! He got a THICK ASS ACCENT
I got a thick ass
Mister Doctor post it

Mister Doctor you are probably right
Bianca Lord Hahaha I guess it's only one way to find out though follow me on Google+
I just watched this to make sure Allison was actually a nice person. Brilliant acting from both of them.
Same here !!! I started to dislike her.
You guys are not very bright, are you?
Might I point out, I was in complete shock Jordan Peele made this movie.. I always just knew of him as a big time comedy skit and movie writer. He did such an amazing job! This honestly is the best plot twist movie in a long time if not, period . The main actors are mainly in the comedy field too. So they need extra credit on these serious performances.
Yes!!! Finally another person that is surprised that Jordan Peele made the movie, I couldn't believet it hahaha
Daniel isn't really a comedic actor

Rhizon XXVII no he's an amazing interviewer
Rhizon XXVII agreed. first time watching him interview and I loved his questions and responses.
Yo
No one is born racist, racism is a choice, unfortunately alot of people make that choice. I pitty those people coz they are the ones damaging their souls.
James Segrue children don't have a choice in what their parents teach them. Ideologies are hard to brake
I disagree, Racism was all around me as a child, it was just normal but I chose not to be and could understand why people were racist or even wanted to be, it was like they had some disease or something or they were brainwashed, I got bullied by others for hanging around with people from other races but it didnt stop me from hanging around with whoever I wanted, no one tells me who I can or can't be friends with.
James Segrue i meant break, yes once you become an adult and or find the knowledge for yourself sooner, you can make that choice to believe what you believe. Sorry you were bullied, glad you were able to have an open mind unlike others around you
Racism is taught
James Segrue Carlin Reed Racism is taught, but by and far it's socialized and indoctrinated.
SPOILER...
the movie was definitely far fetched and exaggerated but when you see the police lights at the end you KNOW everyone was thinking: "He's fucked." He would have been shot on sight, probably. That's where it gets real. And that's the true powerful message of the movie - after all the shit he went through, they still would have believed her first.
SiDarTanto idk I think you're a bit off the mark tbh. the "cops" would have believed her because she was lying on the ground bout to get murdered. If their skin colours were reversed (white dude bout to kill black chick) then that white dude gettin locked up. The cops reaction would've had NOTHING (if not very little) to do with the skin colour of everyone on the scene.
Then again, I live in Australia so idk maybe I'm wrong. But yeah I don't really think THAT was the "true, powerful message of the story."
SiDarTanto IKR THAT WAS THE BEST PART! i started fucking crying and i was like oh no no don't arrest my mans!
have you seen the alternate version the ending? go and check it out
SiDarTanto that's fuckin stupid. And I understood the whole movie through a "black mans point of view" that's probably the only definition you will except. I'm white and have been around nothing but black people my whole life. We "whities" aren't all into "the race war" and if you listen to peele. It wasn't about the "race war" either.
Ending cliches have invaded our most subconscious theories that perhaps nothing makes sense anymore😭😭😭😭😀🐑
Don't read this comment if u haven't seen the movie
After seeing this movie it felt so weird seeing them be friendly too each other because the performances by both of them were so good. It took me a second to realize they were actors and not who they were in the movie lmao this movie was so amazing
Dward O u rite
Dward O if I ever see her Irl idc what she says I am sprinting away
Because of this movie I want to date her and kill her. Such incredible acting!
Asia Williamson it's a clear indicator to what happens though
Weird how British actors can pull of such convincing American accents, while Australians don't have as much luck, and their accent often slips.
Daenerys Huge Ackman has a great american accent.
Eric Perez Looooool it's Hugh Jackman
Mel Gibson
Chris Hemsworth is good but I think weirdly enough his British accent is better
Agreed. Nicole Kidman comes to mind

There were so many parts in this movie as a black person you could just totally understand on a deep level. Brandon Nguyen Instant classic!

"That's what we do"
A little spoilerish!
You know one of the things her father said in the movie that really stood out to me is when Rose and Chris tell Rose's parents about the deer they hit, and her father goes on to explain how he is so happy they hit that deer. 1 down 200,000 more to go, they are ruining the ecosystem, etc...
THAT was a direct parallel to how some people view African Americans, or any minority for that matter. Hell, today we see that mentality being applied to immigrants in general regardless of race. It was a freudian slip on her father's part, subconsciously voicing his true opinion about black people through the deer.
It was made even MORE powerful because her father then goes on to say "I would have voted for Obama a 3rd time if I could."
Dean(the father) represents the niche population of white people that WANT to be seen as racially and socially tolerant, but deep down they are uncomfortable around black people. They overcompensate for their discomfort by making statements like the Obama statement Dean made, basically trying too hard to say "Hey, I am not a racist! I'm 'down my man'."
The most poignant line in the movie for me, though, was when Chris calls his friend and tells him how weird everyone is acting. "It's like they've never seen a black person that doesn't work for them before." I've experienced this statement in full effect and found myself sitting in the theater thinking "I KNOW RIGHT!!" In a social setting in which I am an equal, a lot of white people simply don't know how to act. It REALLY makes me uncomfortable.
Dickson Owusu truee
Alesha A Insurgent?
Dickson Owusu Broooo I shit you not, that's the first thing I thought when he said that line about the deer. It was so obvious too.
Dickson Owusu I can tell by your name you're Ghanaian. I completely agree with everything you said.
Dickson Owusu White people can't make me uncomfortable. Grow some balls
God fkn damn!!! This was Peele's movie??? I loved it, it's so surprising, i would never guess....
Damn Peele... If that was your debut...... man..
you're too fkn talented. There are no other words
"I wanted to make a movie you watch two times" This is actually the first movie in a long time that I wanted to watch a 2nd time to catch all the details. Great movie!

I didn't realize until I saw this trailer that he has a British accent, then I realized why I recognize him...he was in an episode of Black Mirror. And when Allison talks I still only hear Marnie from Girls.
As a black person I would like to say to white people, if you have a black friend or if you want to be friends with a black person, DO NOT treat us differently than you would any of your other friends such as changing the radio station to an urban station just because YOU think we would rather listen to rap. We will accept you I promise :)
bam9042 after this movie, not all lol
bam9042 plus their overall body movement and the way they interact with us is very cringey, either overly-sympathetic or plain awkward lmaooo. I prefer people that I can have a comfortable conversation without any hidden intentions or don't think anything of us but human beings 😆
Lol
Today white people are very often accused of racism. Maybe that's why they behave so awkwardly, trying not to offend.Have you thought about this?
I thought that black people hate it when white people "don't see color" (Im being sincere. I just want to know)
I literally went out to see it twice already and it's been out for a week

Jordan Peele is wearing FEAR OF GOD hes officially the GOAT
I was thinking the same thing lol
Another Brit actor doing a fantastic job in Hollywood. Funny to hear SLJ criticise the decision of Hollywood preferring Black Brits over Black Americans, but the reality is, Brits are better trained and actors as a whole. They are more versatile and can act in any role you throw at them. I'm glad that Jordan Peele picked him, as i haven't seen any American who could have touched the level Daniel hit in this film.
Tom Hanks isn't versatile? What Brit could have played Forrest Gump as well as him?
wylie richardson I didn't say that all American actors are bad but it's clear that there is a trend from Hollywood to pick Brit trained actors. This isn't a coincidence. Also I'm referring to actors that lack the versatility in America. In my opinion this would go down to training in different forms. You could stick DK in a lot of different roles and he could do a fantastic job because of his training.
Training is one thing, but one must have the talent to back it up.
I call bull
I heard Brian White (a black actor, and a very good one) once say in an interview that he had yet to meet a black British actor who wasn't classically trained and hadn't acted in theater. He said that American entertainers (black and white) often just show up like, "Hey man, I can act" with no formal training at all. Of course, many American actors are true professionals and are formally trained, but its seems like there's an awful lot of I-was-a-rapper-comedian-athlete-and-now-I'm-an-actor types out there. Clearly, the British actors really work to hone their craft, and they give exceptional performances. Just look at the fact that only did Daniel Kaluuya master an American accent in this film, but he talked like he was from Brooklyn, no less. THAT is talent and skill.
Yo I can't even look at the girl for too long. Her real personality is too close to Rose's! I feel like she's just at the interview to trick us and take Daniel's real brain or something

I loved this movie because it manifests and introduces the concept of indirect racism towards not just the black population but to all populations. Brilliantly done Jordan!
steveyk Everyone is indirectly racist
Anyone else feel like Allison is totally grabbing the mic? I'm sure she has good insight having been in such a great film but I also think Daniel probably has a more in depth perspective on how race is tackled in the movie.
dottikis
I think he was passing it to her, Black men treat women like Queens. Even tho that's not his woman
Yudah El Not all the time so dont stereotype something that is false. We wouldent have broken homes and a high divorce rate. But he is British so it seems.
J Moore
I'm British as well, but I've seen in many Black cultures the women are treated as Queens. Are u a feminist of some sort?
Queens are sometimes hard to please; ever thought of that notion?
dottikis I think you're digging to deep and looking for a race problem.
Yudah El she's not anyone's woman but her own, no matter how well anyone treats her. I may have been "digging too deep" on the racial front but I can spot sexism without issue. And feminist is not an insult.
I liked this movie but now i will go watch it again since i seem to have missed more than i thought. Its as good as Shyamalan's "The Sixth Sense" suspense, mystery reminds me of old Alfred Hitchcock movies. Very well done and I hope more movies like this are made.

Agreed! Daniel was great!
Allison Williams is such a great actress especially in this movie. Her scene when she picks up the phone for Chris and talking to his friend the way she answers it with no emotion, no facial expressions and no gestures is just unnerving and creepy, it gives me the chills watching it.

@Loomy Narty...it must not be THAT bad..you're "lol"-ing...so much worse things are said, yucky, trolly things...this isn't TOO bad. I like this girl, she's cute but it's TRUE...
she's a female what you expect. lmao
Incredible acting. Jordan Peele you are gifted indeed! When I saw the previews I knew I was going to see this film. It reminded me of Stepford Wives. I have to own this movie.
I really like this interviewer. He asks intelligent questions and lets the actors talk without constantly interrupting.
Why the hell is she speaking for him?
curlsbeyond99 it's a casual interview! So they can just jump in whenever. He's also a quieter guy, so she's just talking to make him feel comfortable, I think
actually yeah right??
Because she’s white girl who has a bunch of black friends & woulda voted for Obama a 3rd time.
That's how they do it in interviews with two or more actors, they give praise to each other so they seem humble and also promote each other and the movie at the same time. Check other interviews with other actors, you'll notice. It's just it is more subtle because they are not honest with their intentions like this girl.
He’s British-Ugandan; no slave mentality! Sorry 😐
My goodness, what a fantastic interviewer! And what a fantastic director Jordan Peele turned out to be! 2017 is looking to be a good year for film :D
Cracking interview. Really refreshing to see good questions being asked.
Best movie of the year so far
All time or some shit!!
Excellent interviewer for once, his questions were insightful and he was appropriately excited about the actual film 😄 job well done to him
As a white dude who has been the only white dude in a situation many times, I feel like I can relate to what Jordan said in the beginning a bit. I never felt like a complete outsider, and I was accepted, but there was that feeling of being seen as white first, then as the guy I am. It's just how humans are. We relate to sameness. The trick is to realize, we're all the same, despite our superficial differences.
Kelly Pagano thats why i dont believe in multiculturalism. It never works. look at the world.
Dats a troll
The part where they did the auction using bingo cards was incredible and the tea hypnosis was amazing. You don't really see things like that in a scary movie and on top of that make it funny. This needs to definitely win an oscar. Good work. Even adding the racism was fantastic. It was on point and it wasn't beating around the bush.
we need more guys like daniel to make a better society. such an easy guy who understands complicated things in simple ways.
yo when I found out he's Ugandan!!!!!! mad!!! s/o to my fellow Ugandans...mulimutya! #blackexcellence
Judith majesty British *
Ugandan, if he was a criminal you wouldn't claim that he´s British.
Judith majesty True lol
Gio Cattuco Vice Versa, what's your point?
^ The point is y'all only claim us when we're doing good things. Hes british when hes a good actor. Would he be british if he was a black kid coming in and out of juvie? Nah he'd be an African who needs to be deported.
I knew Daniel from that episode of Black Mirror, where he was amazing - I mean that monologue? Crazy. Good actor
i just watched this film a few days ago and i could not believe my ears when i heard the song at the beginning of the movie....the song was in freakin SWAHILI...i got the chills from the excitement since I am a Tanzanian and SWAHILI is my native language. I was so proud of Mr. Peele...this movie deserves special recognition in Africa..Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful production. Tanzanian East Africa appreciates this effort.
damn white girl stop interrupting him
She's excited, but I think she was fair. They were both able to get in things that you would want to hear in an interview.
she is over-talking him. i noticed it as well when the portion of their interview 1st started.
She is being Marnie
Exactly
jasmine olvera
Because if she was Black you'd accept more interruptions? (It became a free-flowing conversation between the three of them.🙄)
Is all black British people actors in American movies and television shows
Nope
Seriousp17 right feels like it, we're worldly, I'm glad ppl get to experience us from multiple places around the world.
they refuse to give actual young blacc American actors a chance
Seriousp17 because black british men are probably better actors thats why they get the parts
Elliott Gordon
Not true.
I love the enthusiasm of the interviewer, he did such a great job!
The interview was really fun and interesting to watch
She looked better in the movie tbh.
hope it makes a ton of money. and its will probably be the first interracial couple on screen close up without using cgi for their love scenes :)
*+busywl69 |* I'm guessing you haven't seen _Jungle Fever_.
yeah I saw it, that movie was awful to me. 95% of people in interracial relationships could care less about the skin color of the other person. that is ALL that goofy movie was about.
*+busywl69 |* Agreed. Once people get past that initial "barrier", it's no big deal between them. Only in the context of the way "society" views their relationship does it become a struggle.
Whats cgi?
u know don't nobody know wtf that means
like what u just typed lol
Me: Never actually heard him speak outside of a character
Him: "Well Ah Fink Dat It..."
Me: Woah
Just watch the movie and it was great
I can't wait for Get Out 2. Great job Jordan Peele!!!!
The first part of the interview with Peele when he says you need to watch it twice was the most true statement. Just thinking back to the scenes after seeing it makes nod my head, I get it.
this movie was the shit
Fr yo, all the black people in the theater room kept clapping everytime the main character killed someone in the family lmao
Christopher Green
why are you spoiling the movie, you happy af u saw it huh?
wHOOOOPS, you stumbled across the wrong comment at the wrong time, sorry bud. And yeah I am happy I saw it.
Yudah El I mean you see him stomping someone out and bashing someone in the back of the head in the trailer itself so did he really spoil it all that much?
Christopher Green
lol, it's cool. We saw it the same day. I was just being careful to not say anything then see you everywhere telling everything
Who else wants to see this movie for the second time now?!?! Im ready to go!
I love the questions the interviewer is asking, thumbs up!
I DONT LIKE HER IN REAL LIFE! THATS HOW GOOD SHE IS! U NEED AN AWARD JORDAN!
