do you have a video on cleaning the print heads

  • @clarkecunningham5259

At 1:30 in the video, suction is used on the waste tube to empty the dampers. At 10:26, we are told to use suction on the waste tube to draw in ink and prime the dampers. How can suction on the waste tube both empty the dampers and refill them?

You can control it by connect or disconnect the tubes.

Love the Video! I recently just bought y’all guys dampers and just installed it into my 8550 EcoTank, i saw somewhere someone said do a powerclean to get ink back into the dampers but it didn’t work, will it work if I leave the printhead over the capping station and use a syringe attach to the waste hole and suck it out from the waste tank that’s connected to the printhead that’s connected to the main ink tanks? Will that work? Hoping I made sense 😅

Thanks so much for your question and for subscribing to my channel! Every subscriber is incredibly important to me as I work toward that big 100K milestone, and it’s awesome to know you’re supporting the channel. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Your explanation makes perfect sense, and yes, using a syringe to draw ink through the capping station can work as long as the printhead itself isn’t clogged. If the printhead is clear, you should feel slight resistance when drawing 1 to 2 ml of air through the waste line. If you don’t feel any resistance, it likely means the printhead isn’t parked correctly on the capping station or the capping station’s seal is compromised. In that case, I’d recommend addressing the capping station issue first.
Once everything is sealed properly, avoid using power cleaning. A regular cleaning should be sufficient to get ink flowing into the dampers. Power cleaning can be too aggressive and isn’t necessary unless it’s a last resort. If you need more guidance or run into issues, feel free to reach out at support@bchtechnologies.com or drop a question on one of my most recent videos. I try my best to keep up with the comments, and newer ones get noticed faster. Thanks again for supporting the channel, and I hope this helps!

Do you have to prime the dampers after replacing? I replaced the dampers and now have no ink printing…ideas?

In this video Abby said she finally figured out how to install with the brackets after struggling, but you don't tell us your secret. When I put the bracket into the slot in the back of the printhead, I am not able to keep it there once l try to put the front of the bracket under the black tab. In the video you said the tail will come out. What's the purpose of putting the "tail" into the slot, only to have it come back out? Please help. Also, I would like to let you know that it is NOT neccessary to take the spring off. You just slide the plastic cover, unscrew and voila!

Thank you so much for subscribing and for sharing your tip about the springs-I really appreciate it! Every subscriber brings me closer to my goal of 100K after 8 years of creating content, and I’m glad to have your support.
The “tail” of the bracket does come out as part of the alignment process, but its purpose is to guide you into the correct position. There’s a groove in the back of the printhead that you need to line up with the bracket. Once you have it aligned, you’ll need to push the bracket in gently while keeping it steady, and it will snap perfectly into place.
If you’re still having trouble, I’ve made a video that demonstrates how to install the bracket properly step by step. You can watch it here: bchtechnologies.com/products/metal-bracket-for-epson-et-8550-dampers-1?_pos=2&_sid=86b231dff&_ss=r.
If you need further clarification, feel free to email me at support@bchtechnologies.com for a quicker response. I try to answer subscriber questions within 48 hours, but I do get a lot of inquiries, so I appreciate your patience. Thanks again for watching and for supporting the channel! 😊
