I like the M1 and I couldn't agree more about the dip bar location. I did buy the red and black version of the M1 and I didn't have the plate issue in the rear like the solid black version has. Anyway, get it in when you can fit it in!
@@TheLykon Yes sir, at least for me it is. I did get a few upgrades. Replaced the plastic pullies with aluminum ones and some new attachments for the cage. Four months later, I'm still happy with mine.
I know you recommend the M4 over the M1 but isnt there an issue with the plates hitting each other on the M4? I am really torn between these 2 units and would like to know why you recommend the M4 over this one? Thanks
It's actually the old M1 that had the issue with the plates but RitFit fixed that with the M1 Pro. You really can't go wrong with either. I'd probably get the one you can get the better deal on. I like the pull up bar more on the M4. I like the placement of the rear bar because I can spot people behind it.
@@UsawaFitness thanks for the reply. I thought I saw somewhere that the M4 had issues with the plates hitting the storage area with the plates that go on the cable pull down? Maybe I was thinking a different system.
I had the original model maybe that happened after they updated it but I haven't heard anything about that. The RitFit M1 is Dope though. I wouldn't hesitate to get either of these racks.
I would recommend this and the Mikolo M4. Pretty just whichever you can get the best deal on when you're purchasing. They are both really good with their own quirks.
Hey hows it going , New Subscriber here. If you had to choose between the 2.0 version and the mikolo m4 which one should i get? I have enough room for both of them. Which seems to be overall better for smoothness and sturdiness
I've been watching your functional trainer reviews. If I had to choose 1 machine, is this it? Im just starting out, and I've been looking for something to put in the corner of the garage. I hear they also made a weight stack for this too? Idk how to feel about the weights on the back vs side w/ where I plan to put it.
@UsawaFitness I saw that too! I am a little more partial towards the black and red and less silver. I also agree that having them on the back seems like a hassle. But it also seems to avoid any issues w the carrier running into them. The 2.0 comes out to 967 before tax and such on their site. I'd love to see a side by side comparison!
I really like the Ritfit M1, great features at a fantastic price. I was considering buying it weeks ago, but in the end I couldn't because they don't have a warehouse in Europe (I live in Spain) and they don't ship internationally. Thanks for the video.
Seems like a solid budget choice!! I think this and the Mikolo M4 are the current top contenders for an all-in-one smith machine under $2K. Each has some pros and some cons over the other so it's hard to pick a clear winner. Great review Vern, looking forward to coverage of the other RitFit products and comparisons to Mikolo all-in-ones!! PS: Isn't the pull-up bar installed backwards? Looks like the middle angled grips would be an awkward grab the way the bar is installed now but maybe that's just how it is.
Thanks for watching and the comments. I hope that bar isn't installed backwards. I'll have to check. We've been using it though. 🤣 You're dead in your comparisons by the way.👍🏾
@@UsawaFitness Another thing about the leg press on the m7, you have to use it with your head towards the plate holders so the foot don't move to the lock position. I learned this on my tests. Im going make a video on it, cause these things would make this m7 a deal breaker if people don't know about these issues which are fixable with the right knowledge of what works and what don't. peace bro, I ll wait for your new vids.

Just subscribed! How long is the Ritfit M1 smith machine barbell that comes with it??
Would it recommend this or the mikola m4 for or m7?

Honestly these are the two best Smith Machines I've reviewed but overall my favorite is the M4.

It's a great machine. You might want to check out the Mikolo M4 to get those Olympic plates on the sides. I have a few videos for that machine too.

Would you put this machine over the Mikolo M7
@@snuffymcbreezy over the M7 and under the M4. Right in between.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the content!
they had updated M1 2.0. Amazon is old-style.
@@jpimprint Yep! I did a video on that 2.0 too.
That is so awesome dip bar too 🆒😎💪💪💪
Good and bad all at the same time.
Where did you put the M7 at?
I moved the M7 out. I did some extensive testing with it and I'm going to be talking about that in an upcoming video.

@@JacobKnightRiderShop That's definitely probably a better way to use the leg press. Good idea!
@@UsawaFitness yes because the other way (head towards the pulleys)the feet bend forward which locks it in place.
