@@damionstewart77 oh please, this isn't even about race. The man has his dogs locked up in an abandoned, filthy, disintegrating building with a GAS leak, broken glass everywhere (for the dogs to step on), & calls it his storage building for his clothing business. How the heck were they to know that those dogs were his?? He got mad as soon as Dan pulled up, & was yelling at him. If my pets were in that place, I'd be glad someone cared enough to call animal control, especially since they didn't know he put them there. He knew he was in the wrong & was defensive, but he should not have had them in there. Nothing should be stored in that ****‐hole of a building, not clothes or dogs.
How in the world did I miss this video for 5 years? This is so sad! My memories of shopping at Brager Gutmans with my mother go back to preschool age in the early 1950s. She would also take me to shop for school clothes every year on the 3rd floor boy's/men's department. When my wife and I were married in 1977, we bought all our rugs from this store. They had a terrific rug department on the 5th floor. The main reason I patronized this downtown store in particular is because they kept their gated elevators manually operated with ladies operating them down to the store's closing and becoming Epsteins in the 1980s. All the other big stores had automated their elevators. It literally makes me sick to see the beautiful store I loved to shop at in this condition. Wish I was able to rescue one of those gated elevators with the beautiful glass panel doors the way a man did with a Hudson's Department store elevator in Detroit before the store was demolished. Two of Gutman's elevators, as seen in this video, were upgraded with solid doors inside and out during 1977, BUT were left as manually operated cars until Epsteins took over the store. Man, it's depressing to see the store like this. Though it brings back a lot of childhood memories for me seeing the interior again.
I wanted to let everyone know this is old footage. I’m not extremely happy how it turned out but I did my best to edit it together because I wanted to show this building and what happened that night. I always strive to put out improved content rather than backtrack
That was so cool! The signs and cash registers were interesting. Some of them were wood and may have been from when the store first opened. I would have loved to see the bathrooms-they can be interesting especially if they are original. The craftsmanship from then was art.
Anyone know why Baltimore is abandoned?? Crime! Destruct, destroy! People did their best to destroy everything they touched!! The owners could bolt the doors, board up the windows and try to get another company to lease their building, but before they could get a willing tenant vandals would break in and destroy everything to the point of no repair! And then cry and raise hell because of all the derelict buildings and no business in the area! I spoke to some business owners years ago when I was looking for square footage for my business and they all said they couldn't afford the insurance for the area it served just didn't make enough to make ends meet! But they was the bad guys for leaving right?? I heard it all and it was ridiculous! Build a nice park for the little kids and the teens and adults take it over to sell and do drugs and destroy it! Who does that? You have to have some pride in your community, you have to try, do your part to make it better but that didn't happen at all! If I saw someone breaking into a business in my community I would call the police, if my childrens park was taken over by buttheads (I'm keeping it clean) I would do whatever it takes to get them out! If the cops don't do their jobs then you do your own thing whatever you have to. Baltimore City went to hell because it's people didn't care!! If you love a place your home you fight for it! You help your community thrive you don't kill it and expect others to keep fixing it back up! SMH
And I bet the merch he is hawking is all authentic too! 🙄 I have an affinity for old retail, having started working as a cashier as a mere teen back in the early 80's. Thanks for the AYBS nod, classic UK comedy, seen every episode!
Thanks for this video, I love and welt right nearby and am really into this stuff. So glad it popped up. Last I hear this was going to be turned into a nursing home.. that was a few years ago. Thanks again.
Okay. Interesting as heck. But your footnotes were so tiny on the TV there’s no way to read your information. May I suggest you make the font larger. You’re taking the time to research, you want your viewers to be able to read it. Keep up the interesting explores.
I’m sorry and I didn’t even realize it until now. I usually edit on a monitor and don’t take into account that on big farther away displays it doesn’t show up as big
This guy is not homeless. This was proven by the fact we watched him walk out of a newly renovated row home 5 minutes from this building. He makes money peddling drugs and fake merchandise
First off that man lives in a nice very upkept home 5 minutes away from this building with electric and heat. Meanwhile he is keeping dogs in a building with no power or source of heat filled with stagnant water and walls falling apart. THe guy pedals fake merchandise to people on the street and tried to say he owns the building when in fact it is currently on the city's owned registry showing it is owned by the city of Baltimore. I don't know about you but if it was 25 degrees outside I don't think I would enjoy being locked behind bars in an abandoned building malnourished while my "owner" sleeps comfortably in his heated home down the street and have to drink from puddles of water dripping from the asbestos on the ceiling.
"Do people buy it with dog piss and shit on it?" I love Dan
Fuck his racist ass and fuck you too.

I agree with Abandoned Maryland down there, old or new you’ve always put out top notch videos. Thanks for doing this so we can witness them.
Is this the store they’re tearing down to put up condos?
Just wish you stoped inhaling your own snot so close to the mic ..otherwise ok video

You did the right thing calling about the dog. Plus I loved the theme for Are You Being Served.
This was great! I loved listening to Dan go at it with that guy lol.
Loved it!!! Abandoned decaying grand department store, saving doggos, surprise Dan Bell at the end, who could ask for more😁❓🐶🏚️👕👖🎥

Shut your bitch ass up. You get your shit at the flea market
Awesome job on this exploration!
Those dogs were in that building for TWO YEARS, like wow. It's funny how he tries claiming it as his too when it clearly isn't.
Thanks for this video, I love and welt right nearby and am really into this stuff. So glad it popped up. Last I hear this was going to be turned into a nursing home.. that was a few years ago. Thanks again.
Great video, I really liked it. Thanks for sharing it. 🙂
This store had to be from the 60's or 70's by the looks of those registers
don't even know what a display pegboard was for. sad.
I got friends downtown. Right! Storage space, yeah, squatter.

Did they take that guys dogs away??
I believe that the "chute" at 5:00 is a Dumb Waiter elevator shaft.
Fallout vibes with the registers
cool old cash machines
"Hello...I'm Johnny Cash..."
Really? Who keeps dogs in an abandoned building? And what “white guy” would steal them racist?
Ms.Slocombe: Sorry I was late for work..i was up all night on the account of my Pussy!! Haha loved the little AYBS tribute at the end!! 👊😊✌💣💥🔥🔥🔥
That pussy of hers sure kept Mrs. Slocombe busy! 😉
Blacktomore is more like it lol .
No one monitors the racist shit that goes on here? Or is it monitored by racist?
don't be so afraid..you made them...
nothing against the homeless..walk a mile in their shoes..they just want a place to sleep....with their dog...
This guy is not homeless. This was proven by the fact we watched him walk out of a newly renovated row home 5 minutes from this building. He makes money peddling drugs and fake merchandise
Not to mention that before we called the police he drove by us in a brand new Toyota
don't call the cops ..He already is having a hard Hard time that you will never know!!!
leave him and the dog alone!!! How would you like to be in his shoes??
