@@driftless7134 Glad to hear you're enjoying it. The further back you go, they started out as a more "traditional" power/prog metal band, but from "V" in 2014 onward, they started implementing more pop hooks and sensibilities, honing and perfecting their very own unique sound. They find the perfect balance so easily.
I didn’t even know you moved to twitch bro. Glad you’re still kicking. You and Truant were my inspiration for my channel. Keep up the great work brother
Check out their two most recent albums, "Colours In The Sun" and "Fearless In Love". Impossibly flawless mix of serious prog metal with immaculate pop sensibilities, and Danny's vocals are just God-Tier across the board. "Runaway" is a perfect song. Those are rare.
I saw it was one of the bands I have on my list to request on channels like yours and I had to click lol Voyager is great, and is yet another on my list of bands that I find and like a lot, then realize that they're from Australia (its surprisingly up to about 15). I think my favourite song of theirs is Dreamer, and Ultraviolet as well. I'm a big fan of their production and songwriting.
When I saw the title I immediately thought of Porcupine Tree "Voyage 34" - what a track! And then Riverside. It's a Polish band and they're friends with Steven Wilson. You should check them out! "Beyond the eyelids", "Left Out", "Found" are just a few examples ❤
One of my favorite bands from the past 10 years! Their newest album, Fearless in Love, is absolute fire from top to bottom 🔥 Also an interesting thing about Voyager is that they extremely rarely use power chords and instead lean on counterpoints between the guitars, and heavy bass work to carry the bottom, and it sounds amazing!
Been into these guys for years (maybe a decade?), More-so song by song but had to purchase albums; "I Am the Revolution", "Meaning of I" and "Colors of the Sun". Riffs forever, that usually gives me shivers and takes advantage of subtle and abrupt tempo-changes. Augmented with touches of Synth Wave to make it unique including the vocals of "Daniel Estrin" (who plays Synthesizers and "Keytar"). They have a good sense of humor too in some of their videos and on the road videos. They've had quite a few line-up changes, and got a bit more fame last year as they represented Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song "Promise", finishing in ninth place. I WISH they'd make it to the U.S. and Westcoast. But as I see someone mentioned in your chat, on the screen; Daniel had to cancel the latest tour in 2023 being diagnosed with cancer :(. - Speedy FULL recovery Daniel! Many Prayers and well-wishes toward you!
Love this band and this track! Love the way Voyager blends prog metal and new wave synth
This entire album is basically perfect.
I've never heard of this band. Thanks for turning me on to them!
Welcome to a hell of a rabbithole. he progression (no pun intended) of their sound over the years is remarkable to watch unfold.
@@KyleS3m3noff I've listened to a couple of their albums so far. Absolutely fantastic! I love the 80s synth pop influence.

the newest album was a downer.... so much inferior than Ghost Mile. at least there's Submarine, distinguishably great
"Woooow" - REPRESENTS ME A LOT. f*cking BADASS track (and band). pants-shitting content
Better than their Eurovision song... Go Aussie Go
