This is my home deck! I found out recently, actually right before I was introduced to this deck, that my lineage is Celtic. I have bonded with this deck like no other. I edged mine with brown then used an archival stamp in black for the corners and looks so amazing and gives it the energy of being connected to my roots! 🥰 in love.

I just got Witch Sister and wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of the two decks. Hidden Realm definitely feels more fae and otherworldly to me, and Witch Sister almost feels like old/ancient and raw energy! Thank you for doing this comparison!

Love both of Julia’s decks and her work is unbelievably delicious. She created two different but incredibly raw worlds and each deck truly does tell such a unique story, I happen to be very smitten with both decks and their unique energies. Her creations are so special and the wisdom provided profound.

I agree with you about changing certain names, specifically the Judgment Card. I feel certain titles need not be tampered with and tweaked. Judgment is not just a powerful card but the actual word itself is as well. 🖤

Dude me too the King of Stones *keeps* showing up for me. He was the first card I pulled and then straight afterwards when I went to pull a card to see who was a member of my coven within this deck ,, he just showed up again like 'hello, excuse me duh...' 😅😂 I love it. He is very haunting and beautiful, probably my favourite King of Pentacles depticion.

This is such an in-depth, thorough and spot on compare and contrast. Exactly how I experience Tarot of the Hidden Realms. These decks have such different feels! I prefer the images in the Hidden Realms deck, for sure. I don't have the Witch Sister but now I'm definitely considering it! Thank you for taking the time to do this, Raecine!

Thanks so much for the comparison. I've been working with both decks and can't make up my mind which one I love more. I love the Witch Sister's Three of Skies but I also love the Ten of Swords from the Hidden Realms - currently these two take up a lot of space in my mind.

After this video I have finally decided to order Hidden Realm Tarot, cause I have a copy printed for the local market (one of my very first decks) and it has a different size of the card and a different box from Llewellyn's version and also differs from the Witch Sister.

Oh I love the witch sister tarot. For me it’s a very deep deck. So not for quick draws but to really sit with the messages. There is this feeling of being surrounded by ancient wisdom & a connection to ancestors. Nicnevin is the card that seems to show up a lot for me.

Thanks for the comparison, it's interesting to see card by card contrast in the art and energy. The Witch Sisters has more edge, personal power and is grounded in Earth. The Hidden Realms is softer and more fantastical like the Otherworld. I have and love them both.
Ok so I'm not the only one The King of Stones just keeps showing up for haha ! I love both of these decks but The Witch Sisters is definitely my soul deck .Thank you so much for this video!😊
Thank you so much for doing this compare & contrast video. I only have Witch Sisters & although some of my favourite pieces of Julia’s art are in the Hidden Realm I still don’t feel drawn to the deck enough to buy it. If the Hidden Realm guidebook was full page colour image for each card I would honestly buy it just for the art prints.

It has just hit me recently. The biggest difference to me, Witch Sister has more Crone energy. At least more than any deck in recent publishing. I wonder what everyone thinks?
I'm sorry you are suffering with the flue. The deck I am most familiar with is Tarot of the old path. It foretold of my losing of my home. That got my attention. I no longer have Tarot of the old.path in my possession. I miss it very.much. your witch sister deck is fine I'm not real wild about peach backing either. I am glad you like the deck. To me it veers from rider wait standard too much. The Alice did that also. I'm not just saying that I love the illustrations in The Alice but it would mislead my Interpretation, and I am a relatively novice reader. I was thinking how cool it would be to have the Tarot deck that was in Dark Shadows. I don't know if it was rider wait standard or not but got the impression it might be French in origin. Try a half cup of extra virgin olive oil it may help you feel better. Hope you get to feeling better. Your adoring fan on west coast.😅

Witch Sisters arrived yesterday evening. I've edged her, cleansed her, and the King of Stones keeps popping out over and over as I shuffle. I noticed that card is slightly bowed, as well as, the Fool card. First and last cards so that could be the reason for the King haunting me. 😊 I'm eager to get to know my witch sisters in this deck. My witch ancestor kept pushing me towards this deck and I'm glad I listened. Now to find an oracle deck to pair with it. Thanks for your thoughts on both decks. I used Tarot of the Hidden Realm throughout January, and I really love it.
I had the same issue with my new deck and the King of Stones card- the edges are slightly curled, same for the Queen of Stones and the Fool card. It created a space in my deck, wherever they were, so you could always tell which was which, and kept popping out. I contacted Llewelyn and they sent me replacements- slightly better, but it must have been some kind of a printing issue. Hope they can fix it.

Same here - I got mine second hand and those two cards are definitely not cut right as well as maybe being a bit shorter?
It’s too bad- you can try contacting Llewellyn, I think the more people that reach out to them, the better possibility that they could send replacement cards, or fix the printing issue. I’ve been hearing about this from different sources. Nonetheless, I Absolutely love this deck!
I think this is a Llewellyn thing. My deck is the same and the last Llewellyn deck I bought (Tarot of the Witch's Garden) had the same issue.
