i was a little worried for them when they started this interaction that could have been extremely transactional, (one of the first things you learn in improv is to avoid settings like grocery stores, restaurants, etc, bc they can be really repetitive and boring) but i shouldn’t have doubted them for a second because it immediately became the most insane bit and i love it very much
Rewatching this for the third time in 12 hours, and every time I do something else makes me cackle. From the obvious "a la mode" to "fuck you zac" - but I think the best one for me is how quickly they shut down lou's "remember when we were in prison?", lmao
In that situation, I know, I would order cottage cheese a la mode like everyone else, but I’d only eat the ice cream, and everyone would be like “hey did you eat enough” and I’d just go like “ya, totally” as I’m starving
I don't know what "a la mode" means but now I feel like I have to use it in everyday conversation, even if (and especially if) it makes no sense in the given context
@@Lemure1987 Oh interesting. That's absolutely not what it means over here. Like, boeuf a la mode is beef stew. A la mode just tells you what kind of sauce there is in a dish.
"a la mode" means "in the fashionable way", so its got a lot of meanings in a lot of contexts! Today its basically only used in America to mean with a scoop of vanilla icecream.
Thank youuuuu now I can rewatch this all the time forever It’s hard to choose, but I think my current favorite order is Riz getting pancakes, waffles, French toast, AND cottage cheese a la mode (he’s so tiny, where would he put all of that?? Lmao)
I’ll be honest, I think I laughed harder at this episode than any I have seen in a while. It may not be #1, but it’s definitely not far off. Don’t ask me to rank any, I’d never be able to choose.
The recommended vid that popped up after the clip was Egg White Omelet- Martha Stewart.
I love how the waitress had no questions about it because this is probably the 3rd delerious party that week

God Riz being just happy to be with his friends. Everyone is miserable and he's all "When we're together everything is great!" God bless that loser
The look that washes over a tired Gorgug after Riz says a cheerful "yeah" is wonderful 1:00

I would like a cottage cheese a la mode with a cortado please
Lemon based, with milk, extra curdled please.
the normal one with tea or the coffee one?
Recommended video was for a cottage cheese ice cream recipe.
incredible
Could I please get a cortado, sub the espresso with cottage cheese and the milk with ice cream?
I'm so happy we get to see this crew again. The cottage cheese a la mode bit is part of an energy that I missed so much
relate heavily to riz rn
same
I could absolutely wreck some potatoes four ways right now.

It means with a scoop of ice cream. Usually vanilla.

@andreasbuehler1821 My frame of reference is American Diners--it could have a broader definition

The surprise yorbies once everyone had given up fully killed me and murph
Is "Pile of Brown" like Zac orders a thing??
it is to him!
You have clearly never been to the UK. 'Brown' is a food group
It's riffing on diner speak - saying orders (in this case probably something with a lot of gravy) in a humorous, roundabout way
gorgug is such a biscuits and gravy fella he’s just like me fr
it's hashbrowns
could I get that with a cortado please? Tea-based ofc with lemon
Bad kids a la mode
hope they sell that map as a poster we can buy
My new go-to order
Have a potato!!!!!
lets have a potato!
What is a pile of brown? Hash browns with gravy?!
no, just brown
Any food that is brown works. The English have made it an art
