The RDX is an underrated family car. I test drove most of the competition and the issue is, they're practically 4 seaters. The transmission hump is so pronounced in the Q5, XC60, and others that nobody older than 5 could sit in that middle seat. The rear seats are also kind of buckety in some as well, making the center seat feel even narrower. The RDX is completely flat on the floor and the seatback is very accommodating.

@@dadoo985 Its the best car I've ever owned. I have three daughters and it works really well for a family, especially if you don't want to go full-size. Many of the mid-size 3 row SUVs have captains chairs in the middle row so you need to keep the 3rd row up to seat more than 4 and the 3rd row is extremely cramped. My wife drives an Armada, which has three truly functional rows but if you look at something like a Pilot or Highlander the 3rd rows are just jumpseats. I can fit my whole family in the RDX for a drive an hour or so. Longer than that we'd probably take the Armada. I can also fit 1 childs set and 3 adult sets of golf clubs in the trunk.

@@cjpaul8571 I know you commented this 3 years ago but do you still recommend this car? I currently drive a 2018 Infiniti qx80 and I have 2 kids. I rarely use the 3rd row anymore and when I do it’s bcuz the 2nd row can’t fit more than 2 people so the 5th person has to sit in the 3rd row. I also want to downsize bcuz the qx80 is so bad on gas and we barely use it for its full potential. I am looking to trade it in for a 2021 Acura RDX aspec with 8700 miles. My 2 kids are twins and they are 15 years old so they will be able to drive themselves next year. So how are you liking you Acura if you still own it? Do you recommend I trade in my qx80 for the RDX or consider one of the competitors?

Misleading, unfair title. The CRV I have (2018 top of the line) is a primitive vehicle, noisy between 800-2000, practically with NO INSULATION (you can count the rain drops on your roof) and the paper thin doors are a pure shame. The RDX I just (2019) tried is a much better vehicle, comfortable and with a really quiet cabin. Remarkably well equipped and finished. No comparison.

Just got the 2021 RDX a/Spec I ordered last week this morning, well I’m not only in love with this SUV, but I’m writing this message while relaxing in it. Want to see a good Acura build quality. Look at the 90' and up legends. They were built in Japan. They were leaps and bounds better fit and finish over this these. Yes I own a 2019 RDX and a 1990 Legend
Now the New RDX might be better than it's current competition but it's not in the league of Acura's own old competition.
