There's no reason Charlotte can't be a perenial small market contender like OKC or Utah if they make the right decisions. NC is a basketball state and the original Hornets had great attendance numbers before the owner raped someone and alienated the entire city. MJ selling the team was certainly a good step. Melo staying healthy is going to be a hurdle tho.

Miller was passing up open shots and deferring to teammates early in the season as he adjusted to the NBA. Since Charlotte has had some starters out with injuries his usage rate has gone up and he's been ready for it. I don't know how anybody could have watched him at Alabama and doubted that he was at worst going to be a very good NBA player and potentially a long time All Star. He's not just a shooterr, he is a guy you can run the offense through because he can get his own shot and pass the ball. He can also be a good defender on wings and big guards.

I tell folks, if ya not coming into the draft from college, then make sure ya coming in through Europe. Whether it's French league, Spanish league or even the Australian league, it's better than these new mushroom routes.
Funnily enough Jaden Hardy who became a second round pick is outliving his draft position and is probably the most successful one so far (Green is somewhat of a success but his draft position does put him on a higher expectations)
