Love the content, original & real! and believe it or not - most of those that have been in Fiji half their lives may have not even tried out things that you are doing right now on the farm so kudos for the content & also for hearting it out here in Fiji. I love how you and Steph have made such a huge and bold decision to move to Fiji and being patient and understanding with the process, God Speed with all your plans & business ventures.

Yes you're so right. Patience is one of the most important things for anyone who commits to a business and life like this. Hard work and perseverence

Another way of hastening planting on thick forest ...you clear undergrowth cut vines plant the yaqona stems then fell trees. The wilting leaves will act as cover to halt grass growth store moisture in the soil and hasten germination of the cuttings. Just a thought. It will guarantee germination and reduce labour cost that is called upon for weeding. However upon three months or four....space should be made for the plant to grow freely

Thank you again, I learnt something about yam planting. Wondered if that was 'kawai'. Haven't been back to Labasa for sometime now. Am very familiar with the sugar mill area, and remember Seaqaqa, certainly changed. In Suva too we pay to access the beaches.

We learn new things everyday, Don't we? It is a virtue to be teachable, learning will become part of life - hence our knowledge is not limited but enhanced . E vinaka na vakarorogo kei na vuli, Waka Family. ( It is good to listen and learn, Waka Family).

Indeed. It feels silly to tell people you don’t know anything but when you do it really opens up the opportunities for learning.

Bula Vinaka John and Steph! Glad to hear you guys are building momentum on your projects on the your land and gaining more network throughout being here in Fiji. Glad to be part of your guys journey thus far. If you ever run out of water again (Vlog38). Be sure to drop by Matayau Settlement at the border on your way to Savusavu, past Lomaloma Village), where you can fill up your water gallons/tanks to your hearts content. Been following you guys since April, and I’m happy to that you guys are settling in well. God Bless!

Bula Jonathan, with my grandad we’d plant uvi the same way as your uncle. (White flesh variety). Also, i was taught if the soil has alot of clay content then we’d mix with sand or fine gravel then plant. (For good drainage). Layering decomposed chicken manure and soil while planting ive found yields big uvi. happy planting brother.
