I hated what he did to her - she could have lost her shop - and everything else she worked hard for, had Janine not have been the kind of person she was, to begin with...but because of who she was, Janine saved this woman's life - and job...and we have a big-shot salon owner of 3 hair salons! But, when I saw him enter the store selling candies and cookies for $1.00, likely eking out a living, I felt bad for him. When she offered him a higher-up job at a vending place(I forgot the exact word), I was happy for him - and seeing him getting all excited over the new job opportunity offered to him, I felt my heart go soft for him... There's no way anyone can live at least a comfortable life - especially in these times with skyrocketing prices on utilities, places of residences and healthcare - by selling candies for a measly $1.00 - I take it, in the U.S.? He needed another job just to survive and live at least comfortably. It would have brought me to tears had she kept that offer from him and watch him walk away with his bag of candy, which she still refused - I LOVE SOUR PATCHES! I WOULD HAVE AT LEAST, BOUGHT THE ENTIRE THING OF CANDIES AND COOKIES - I LOVE COOKIES!

1 Thing everyone overlooked in the comments, is that Jamal used what he stole to pay her her money back. He had remorse for what he did to her. He apologized multiple times. He humbled himself and asked her for help. He did not clap back when Krystal's assistant repeatedly snapped at him. Love Krystal but her assistant can kick rocks. Jamal's one of those few who deserved a 2nd chance. He didn't ask for a hand out, he was willing to work to ear his redemption. It was not cool what he did, but the brutha tried to make it right. He deserves some credit for that and Krystal deserves credit for her big heart.
