I've honestly gotten bored of it because I've done all there is to do. And I also wanna get away from the memories of my old friend because I need to lock that out of my life.

    For me:
I felt like the old ajpw community (ameliecraft aj, tiffany, notlucario aj, dukeburstz, poofycats etc) is completely gone. All the people who play it now, I feel like are another generation. They’re all younger than me, and I feel like an alien on Earth when I’m playing it for once. My friends are never online and I can’t make new friends because everyone is just salty and rude for no reason. If only ever go online for daily stuff but I haven’t played in about a month now. I’ve decided I won’t feel pressured to go on everyday, and it’ll just be another part of me that existed, reigned but then had to die.

I quit AJ because I was forced out of the game( anyone with strict parents can relate in some way ) and because I was always bullied, and for me, I play online games to have fun and kind of have a 'social life', because at school I'm the 'shy kid' and I get social anxiety when I have to talk to more than one person. Then I realized Animal Jam was a waste of time, and I should put my hobbies and interests first instead of an online game I was getting frustrated with, no one trades me, toxic player, scammers, etc.
Another thing that wasn't pointed out is people quit because they want to put their school or goals first, and eventually realize fighting and stressing over some pixels is a waste of time. I'm glad you pointed out that not giving away your rares is perfectly fine, some people have their rares in their account and I totally agree with you ( I have some small rares and betas in my account, still ). I'm 14 and I was considered one of the younger players in the community, and eventually I just got frustrated with it all.
However, I'll still support and watch you because you're the kindest you tuber out there! In my opinion you deserve more than 10k for all the work you put in your videos, and you're also so generous.
Animal Jam is getting more and more toxic ( I've noticed especially in the Arctic Wolf Cave ) people were getting bullied and then there's, well... the "cool" kids who treat everyone besides their friends like they're invisible. It frustrated me because I'm the type of person who would go out of my way to do something kind for someone, even in an online game.
Thank you for your awesome videos!

I know for a fact I am going to eventually quit, mainly because I am getting too old ( currently I am 17) and I have encountered very toxic people before. Even I have been caught up in some of my buddies drama, it was overwhelming considering it felt like I was the one who had to figure it out for them. Plus some of my buddies only care about trading more than hanging out with me. Idk but still, just for me AJ just has become toxic to me.

I used to play AJPW a long time ago, 2015-2018. I mainly quit after a friend I made on there just disappeared without a trace sometime back in 2017. We used to roleplay every single day for 2 years since we met eachother, and while I did meet and befriend others on that game, I spent most of my time interacting with this one person. At first, I waited patiently for them. There was a glitch back in October 2016 which made me unable to login for a month, so I figured they were just having a similar issue and I would just check in every day to see if they returned yet. As I waited, it became several months since I had seen them and I got pretty bored since I usually just spent the rest of my day after school playing with them and eventually got into trading.
I would send JammerGrams to their account every week telling them all the different rares I managed to obtain, but it also is what started to get me frustrated as I eventually reached a point where I felt like I was working hard, but not breaching into the higher echelons of trading (I had many spikes and some betas such as cool shoes, but I just never managed to get stuff like dragon wings, or the coveted raccoon tail) and I started to realised that I wasn't having fun.
Looking back on it now, I pretty much just used AJPW as a glorified chatroom and I was only there because of the friends I made. So to summarise, I mainly quit because my best friend just disappeared and I realised that AJPW itself was pretty boring to me. My only regret is that I could never track down that person, the only thing I could find from searching their username is a youtube channel that stopped uploading ever since they disappeared. I also tried recently logging back onto my old account after 5 years, but it seems it was deleted, and I couldn't find their account through Jammer search either. In someways, I am also glad the accounts are gone as I kind of see quitting AJPW as the start of a new chapter in my life, so it is somewhat comforting to think that there really was no looking back.
Also if anyone has read this far and is curious:
    My account was called "Harfox29"
    Their account was called "Ajbunnycutie"

Hi, former AJ player here (the profile pic is 7-8 years old and I can't be bothered to change it)!
I quit playing AJ and AJPW last year sometime in September after AJ's "birthday" (I remember this because I remember feeling weird about not having to make a Night of the Phantoms-themed den in October) and this is because of a number of reasons:
-The first reason is I'm a college student and have been for almost 3 years (I'm hoping to graduate by next year! :)), so about a year before my quitting, I started getting more homework and responsibilities as I progressed through college. This led to me gradually playing AJ less, but I still made time to talk with friends online and to stay updated on all of the new AJ updates and AJ-related Instagram posts.
-The second reason is I noticed the AJ community had changed over time. I started to no longer see the game's community in rose-colored glasses like I used to, I had gotten exposed to worse types of players than just scammers and hackers. I won't say the entire community was toxic, but I will say that I had run into some other "jammers" who just didn't sit right with me (and in some instances, I was right to be skeptical of them).
-On a lighter note, the final reason as to why I quit AJ is because after playing AJ for10 years (yes, you read that right, 10 YEARS), I felt I had completed all my goals on the game. I had obtained all my dream items, I met friends as New Jammers and witnessed them grow up into skilled AJ players who later announced their quitting days but wanted to stay in touch with me still (which I feel is a total honor still and yes, I'm still friends with these formal players on different social media apps), I spent a good chunk of my time on AJ catching scammers and hackers, and overall I feel I did a decent job at attempting to set a good example for some younger players of the community.
In conclusion, I left AJ on a good note, I'm still keeping up to date with the AJ community via various social media apps and I'm still keeping in touch with some of the friends I've made on AJ. I have new goals now, but I'll never forget the goals I made and accomplished during my time on AJ. Thanks for reading if you actually bothered to read the whole thing! ^-^"

I quit a few months ago and am still watching your channel! I completely agree with you, Leamon, and you made a lot of good points in the video!
I think the reason I quit was because I was growing out of it and I was tired of the people I was around. I finally worked up to my dream item, a DJ headset, but then realized there wasn’t really a point in trading anymore. Trading wasn’t the whole point of the game to me though, I still played games with buddies at that point, and was uncertain if I was ready to leave the community. But after a while it just got boring and I felt like I was around a lot of toxic, greedy, little kids. Most of all my “friends” were a lot younger than me and I didn’t feel like I really fit in. I finally decided to quit when logging on just felt like a chore instead of a hobby and I didn’t like the new animal jam. I wished the good old days would come back. It was definitely my time to leave though but I’m still supportive of some AJ you tubers and enjoy watching their content!

Throughout my long 6 years of knowing the game and playing, I did take a long 1-2 year break twice. Every time I "quitted", gave away my items, and it made me happy. Whenever I came back to the game, it was like I had a new clean sheet with older records. It was nice to start anew again, in my opinion. I usually quit because the game got boring (I only play AJC). The lack of updates, friends, and things to do as a nm. However, I'd always come back for the nostalgia and trying to gain newer rares and newer dream items.

I may quit because AJHQ suspended me for no reason and it really upset me. Even before that I got hacked out of over 1,000 sapphires and AJHQ didn’t do anything about it, and I basically lost all the money and time and effort I put into getting those sapphires. I’m still trying to decide whether to quit or just not play as often, because I really do have some really good friends on animal jam, but if I do decide to quit, that would be the reasons…
Edit: It's three months later and I have already quit. When I did quit, one of my friends straight up asked for my items...actually three of my friends did. I told them I was making it clear I was NOT giving away my items I worked so hard for. It hurt SO bad. Guys, if you're reading this, please don't ask quitting players for items. It obviously depends on the player and if they care or not, but from my personal experience it hurts A LOT...

Im taking a break from animal jam because a few months ago I met my best friend then we met this guy who me and my best friend soon figured out was a 30 year old man saying he was 18 and dating younger girls AND HE HAD A WIFE AND DAUGHTER I then blocked him and unfriended him. was kind of losing interest and I had recently got hacked and lost my 3 years of hard work then I won a forest gauntlet giveaway then me being stupid at 3 am and trusting someone from the worth wiki then losing basically everything.I just got tired of animal jam but I couldn’t quit forever because then it would hurt my friend so now I’m taking a break for 1-2 months.

3: They got hacked, so even if they didnt wanna quit, they werent allowed into their rare account

It’s so weird to see this video and to see how far animal jam has come.
I started playing animal jam in early 2013 when it was popularized in my class- we’d get together, get on, play games together, and then headed home (btw this was the 5th grade for me). I used to also play the games together with my dad whenever he had the time for it since it was a way I could engage with him in different ways.
There was no way to communicate in the game back in the day without a membership, there was no way to play a few of the games without membership, there was no way to customize to the max without membership, there was no way to really do much without membership. It was literally another Disney pixie hollow if anyone is aware of the game, but it still had a lot more to do than most free online games at the time. Of course tho, a lot of people got tired, there wasn’t really a lot to do- and even tho I did have a membership for around 2 years- once that runs out there was still a heavy limit to even doing anything at all.
I never ran into toxic players back then though since no one could even talk lmao, but people still could make friends- just couldn’t communicate.
I don’t really know how much has changed today other than some 3d aspects, but I do remember that the moment there wasn’t anything to do than the same repetitive games and that when my membership ended, I just didn’t want to continue.
I have a lot of great memories from that game though, but for a game that’s gone on so long, it really shouldn’t have come this far on the same mechanics it’s been on since 2015 (which was when they started to do more commercialization rather than the big National Geographic side of things).

I left animal jam because I felt to old for it. It was still so fun and I love the game and have so many great memories playing it. But it was just the simple fact that I had outgrown the game. Animal jam has no man storie line or a main goal really. So after awhile I got tired of randomly trading people or playing the mini games. So I stopped playing. I still love animal jam and it was a great part of my child hood. But as I got older I needed something more complex. So yeah thats why I quit. Sorry this was so long and rambly but thanks if you read this.

Also I thought I should say this. But when I quit I kept all the things that had sentimental value. Like my outfit or my favorite den items. But the rest of the stuff I gave to people. I asked then is they could return the dead. I know most of them wouldent listen but. I just wanted the small the chance that I could start a chain. And make someone's day better.

  • @moonlightdreamer4957
    @moonlightdreamer4957 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I didn’t necessarily “quit”, but I did stop really playing and now maybe just go on and off in phases. I was really into it in like middle school when I first started playing (probably around 2011-2012 maybe) and I would play everyday. I remember going to that hut in the beach land and doing karaoke, going to the theater and accidentally annoying other players by constantly turning on the gecko short, making stories up about my characters and just exploring the land.
I was that kind of player in MMO games that would just go and make up a story as I played, I wouldn’t really get heavily involved in task lines or drama, I just wanted to log on and have fun.
I remember I bought the restaurant den just so I could add the two buffet tables and sit there clicking on them for no real reason other than enjoyment, or that I bought the volcano den and decorated it to make it all wolflike and used it as a den for my wolf to be all dramatic. I can’t really explain it, but it was like roleplaying, but mostly solo. Idk. I also remember it was in the fman122 craze, as I made a spare account with necklaces and whenever there was a scare I’d log in on that one and trade all my items over to it.
But then as the years went on and I started watching Animal Jam TH-camrs, I started seeing how cool all those rares looked (probably 2015-2016 ish), so that started to become a big motivator for me. Except at the time there was a “hack” you could do to get rares, so once I figured that out, I did it. Back then you could email AJHQ and tell them that you got scammed of your rare and they would send one to you. I think I did it with a green or pink long spike and maybe a green elf tail armor, I’m not sure. But once I got those, all of the fun was kind of taken out of the game and I felt guilty, so I just walked away from it and even now I think the account may have been deleted as when I tried to log in it won’t let me.
So yeah, I guess my extended break from Animal Jam came with a mix of growing up and those rares honestly. Yeah they looked nice, but it just wasn’t that fulfilling personally as I hyped it up to be.

Hi I’m an adult who used to play animal jam classic. The reason why I enjoyed it is because I enjoy learning about animals and nature plus I’m disabled and my disability makes me a little younger mentally on some level. So I really liked the idea of animal as a result. But ... I also like what I call dungeons. And classic had something very similar to dungeons with their adventures. To me it was never really about getting rare items, it was more about the experience. I never really wanted to become rare. It was more the adventures and animals that got me playing. What made me leave the game is well so many of the well known TH-camrs were leaving. Then the game got attacked by what I remember as yellow ducks. That got me thinking about leaving but I didn’t want to leave just yet. But I still enjoyed the game even though I found it very repetitive and nothing knew was really being released. And because of the Feral release I technically moved on (excited for some new content at last). Thing is I don’t like deleting my game accounts because I know that sooner or later I’ll probably want to come back for a bit. Then Animal Jam classic was hacked and I realised That as much as I didn’t want to, deleting my accounts and leaving AJ for good was probably the safer option since I definitely didn’t want anything getting hacked again. And I’ve had enough experience from other games to know that it was best to leave while I still more or less enjoyed the game and had good memories.

the reasons why i quit, and also still watching AJ videos
i quit awhile ago, years at this point, but i still wanna talk about it.
*Not being able to pay for membership
I used to have a lot of membership items, and once the membership ran out, i couldnt use any of it. it got tiring, being my parents to but it when i was younger, but as i got older, i got tired of it. every good item was for members, if u wanted a non-member item that looked good and was rare it would take u so long to get there.
    *Getting scammed
i was a young, naive, innocent child, and trusted people. i had spikes, and it made me cry when people scammed my pixels. it took so long to get those things, and to have it taken away made me heart broken.
*Simply not being there from the start
this might sound really dumb, but i always wished i was there when the first Jambassadors where around, and the beta, but i wasnt. that kinda made me lose hope in getting items i wanted. it was super hard for me to do so, and it was just really hard seeing all my friends on the game have these spikes, and i couldnt get there.
    *Boring game play
when u werent trading, and had no friends, it was boring. like really boring, you cant do anything. AJPW did better with this, more stuff you can do, but AJ is just a "learning" experience. no one really cares about that stuff though, its just really boring, and tiring.
    *Getting older
as time grew on, i got tired of getting on, getting on less and less. it was apart of the pass me, and i was tiring to figure out who i was, and AJ just wasnt the thing for me. by the time AJPW came out i already quit, granted i tried it, but it had no magic. honestly just seemed like a money grab at that point.
now, the reason i watch AJ videos cus i like looking at the news. i had a feeling WildWorks would go down one day, but i also just like seeing whats going on with the community. im probably not going to come back, but i like the memories.

To be honest, I really love Animal Jam. It was my first game when i got my tablet (i was 9 or 10 when i played on it).
And also even it was really hard to do, i was really rich with my favourite animals and pets, i got many betas and friends, it was really fun to me! But then i quit AJ for hacking. I remembered that one day when i connected to my account and seeing a basic animal all in black with red-cross eyes. It was awful to me and i cried a lot... Then i grew up and i make the same thing in the past (try to having sapphires, trading rare-to-rare ect...) and, i got hacked again, it's just like a vicious circle. I definitely quit this game after that. But the thing is, i want to play it again, the problem is that we're never safe with people, we never trust people in this game, and that's why i want things to change, and play it again safety.

Damn I remember playing this game way back when in 2012. I’ve meet all those famous aj youtubers like Wootmoo, Julian2, Wisteria, Bepper, you name it, I’ve met them in game. Played this shit for about 8-9 years and I feel like it’s because we all grew up. I heard the rare system got nerfed too. Crazy to think AJ was updating *too much* at one point now it’s not at all. :/ I traded away all my rares so the younger ones don’t have to go through all the bs for a spike. Even that everyone has now!

I’m someone who quitted AJ roughly back in 2015 (I was around 14 at the time) and I think the main reason why I personally left the game is because School got in the way (keep in mind back in 2015 I was a freshman in high school and if anyone has been in high school in the states know how school can be) and personally lost interest of game.
Every time I tried to get back into the game I just can’t since my preference in games has changed.

  • @SocialSeaSerpent

Hello! And here is my story.
So, I joined when I was around 6/7. But I took a huge break, and came back when I was 8. I would play every day! I had old creatures and lots of good accessories. Then, I took another break, I came back when I was 9 and found out I really wanted the Sugar Glider pet. So you know, I was running back and forth saying: “BUYING SUGAR GLIDER FOR MY FIT AND PETS!!” And eventually I found a person with a sugar glider. They also agreed, but y’know, it’s a story about quitting so yeah I got scammed from my poodle, cobra, duck, and many many more good pets. But I stayed in aj. I eventually got a sugar glider and I was so happy! I was running around with it, color swappingand seeing offers for it for fun. Then I took a break till I was 11. I was making art for aj for nostalgia reasons, and I was joining in, and there I was. A blank avatar only a raccoon with nothing on. I thought nothing of it, then I went to put something on, and there was nothing. Only flip flops and sunglasses. I was like: Okay- do I have my sugar glider at least? Nope. No pets at all in fact. Idk if I was hacked because when I left, I tried to rejoin, thinking it’s a glitch, my session expired right after, so it could be a glitch, possibly I got hacked, but idc really. I noticed how I’m growing out of aj too, but I think of playing again, and hopefully getting my stuff back if I get a session.

I've been having thoughts of quitting AJPW. Ever since the February update, I felt pressured into activity playing due to all of the new bundles that came out. I was already saving up for the movie studio den, and then cats and dogs just came around. I had to save up even more sapphires just to get them. I just wish that AJHQ would be less harsh on the prices on AJPW. Getting an animal on AJ is quicker than on AJPW. Diamond animals cost 10 diamonds, while sapphire animals cost 150 diamonds. I can get 10 diamonds within 4 days, and on AJPW it takes so long to get sapphires. Its not even guaranteed to get sapphires on the daily spin, even as a member. On AJ, (almost) everyday I get diamonds because I am a member. The only time I don't actually get them is if I get rims instead. It's easier to get stuff on AJ than AJPW, simply because AJPW really only has one way of getting decent items: The touch pool mini game. Trying to find a golden ray takes a long time, usually longer than TFD on AJ. Even on TFD if I don't get a great item, I can sell it for diamonds.
I also want to quit AJPW because it isn't fun anymore. I have no friends on the game, and the only friends I have on there are now inactive or play AJ more. Having to buy animals every month is annoying, and makes it seem like AJHQ is forcing us to buy sapphires with our money. Don't get me wrong, AJPW has great updates. However with the recent inventory increase, you have to grind phantom coins or whatever they're called. I don't want to be spending my coins on this, I want to buy sapphire potions. On AJ, I literally have almost 2000 den items, and its annoying. So many of my items are for dens, or trading.
I'm still not quite sure if I really am quitting. If I do quit, I'd probably only come back in October to play the phantom mini games.

Instead of quitting and giving away your stuff, I suggest you just take a break. Don't give away your stuff, don't tell your buddies you've officially quit. Just tell them you're taking a break, and do exactly that. That way, if you ever decide to return to the game, you won't have lost everything.

@@tigermythix yeah. That's what I usually do. But I'm addicted to the game so it's very hard. If you didnt know I'm in "lockdown"

Dunno who you are, dunno why this video was in my recommended, but the reason I stopped playing is because it just wasn't fun for me anymore. I got bored lol. Anywho, great video, love your avatar.

I quit because my sister “borrowed” my
    Inteire Lunar Set.
She didn’t know the game, and accidentally traded it when I was in the restroom. We where doing a “let’s see what people trade for...” experience on her account, and she wanted to see what she would get for her items plus mine.
AGH. I’m gonna join again after two years, too enjoy the lovely experience

I quitted AJ Classic and AJ Play Wild! For a long time. I quitted AJ Classic first because it was always about trading and trading and giveaways. And because there was a lot more scammers. Then that was the time I joined AJ Play Wild! It wasn’t all about trading at the beginning, people also role played. But when all new rare items started to come over, it was my fear again. It was all about trading again. I also quitted it now, and I currently thrive in Fe.ral . You can finally hang out, and do more quests with interesting prizes. And you can also explore the map and role play. You can also play games.

I’ve kinda started drifting from aj classic due to the member ships and people being obsessed with trading. Like can we go back to the days of the pillow room being full of roleplays and people willing to be friends without caring about rares? I miss it. I’m more active on play wild Because I’ve met more nicer people on there and there’s more roleplays and things aren’t always locked behind members only

Yes i agree! Animal jam isnt toxic, the worst I've seen are just immature jammers who try to beg for your stuff, but nothing really mean since aj blocks most mean words! Roblox is way more toxic, and most jammers I meet are super sweet! :3

    Aaa I’m late but,
I actually quit aj, because I got so bored of it, and I had no friends left, and the only way I made some was because I had items they wanted, and after I declined they just unfriend me. I’m done with the game.
