A detailed look at the true history of the Nacoochee Burial Mound in Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, USA, and the Native artifacts that were dug up from this sacred Native American burial site.
I’m glad that there are laws now protecting native sites like this and leaving them to the likely tribes that are associated with them to determine if they should be disturbed or excavated. Like you said , we wouldn’t want others randomly digging up our sacred sites out of curiosity in the name of science. If done , it should be with the proper ceremony to respect the cultural heritage of the people that are buried there. It is different when it is a relatively modern homesite that was left to decay by our ancestors as we wouldn’t be tromping on a culturally sensitive site. I love your videos and the thoughtful nature of them.
I don't believe I ever have been to this site. In the 80s we went around to Ocmulgee and Etowah, and saw Rock Eagle Mound. Thanks for sharing your trip, research, and thoughts.
I think the gazebo on top is beautiful and touches off the site nicely. Grateful he left the mound.

What a great story. I think the Gazebo is about as good of a compromise you’re going to get. Thanks for the great history lesson!

I know it's crazy, but I honestly feel like we should leave the dead alone
The arrow pointing towards Door County which is in Wisconsin, it’s off by two hundred miles.
Yeah someone else mentioned that. Apparently it should be right a bit. ✌️✌️✌️
