Certain political systems require divisions of the people to distract them from the elimination of the current political system and the forced acceptance of a new system.
@@scattergud3122 Most of the division and hysteria is being fed by Russian and other foreign trolls, and domestic ones who profit from the discord. "I don't consider myself a prepper..." (he says that like that's a negative thing) ...then proceeds to tell us all the ways he's prepping. Not every "prepper" is preparing "for the end of the world." We're all preparing to make sure we're self-sustainable, "just in case..." It could be for many reasons - potential job loss in an uncertain job market, wanting to prepare against rising costs, stocking up so that we don't have to worry in the face of the constant recalls, potential upcoming civil unrest, and the list goes on. We're all of the same mindset.
Everyone, especially white males are so eager to virtue signal to the cult of mainstream media showing their compliance and acknowledgement of their false stereotypes.
I'd never think of a Prepper as a negative thing. I've always said we were striving for self-sufficiency. Maybe two things that are the same thing. We always want to be ready..."just in case."
@@TheOldSwedesFarm There are a couple of different concepts at play in prepping: There are lots of people who legitimately try to prepare for emergencies - mostly the real world ones that happen like hurricanes, extended power outages etc. Then there is the other kind, who focuses almost exclusively on "SHTF" scenarios. And they're not just preparing for the possibility. They're hoping for it, and doing whatever agitating they can to destroy our society and nation because they fancy that their guns will make them masters of the chaos afterward. I have zero respect for that kind.

One needn't be a 'prepper' to be prepared. I look at preps being useful for illness, job loss, civil unrest, lockdowns, etc. I learned my lesson after being directly affected by 9/11, SuperStorm Sandy, Pandemic shortages in NYC, etc. Good luck everyone. May this beautiful but battered world see better days ahead.
1) top off your gas tanks of your vehicles keep your fuel tanks full 2) withdraw cash, bills in multiple denominations especially small bills 3) toilet paper or other supplies you use in daily life. 4) water. such as 5 gallon jugs 5) food. stock your pantry with food you want to eat. 6) food and supplies for your animals and pets. 7) first aid and medications. 8) communications. radios or walkie talkies. 9) bugout go-bag if you are in a high risk area where you might need to flee. 10) heating fuel or supplies to keep warm. 11) power or electricity backups
Excellent basic tips! I believe you see what’s really going on. I believe from Election Day to January will be a time of concern. Either way there will be problems. God bless everyone, pray for a true leader to lead this country back to God and goodness.
I live 1.3 miles from the 2020 Geo. Floyd event in South Minneapolis and am well aware of what can happen. At that time we formed a watch group to help secure the neighborhood. At that time (May 2020) a neighbor (an accountant) walked by my house and asked me if I had watered down my cedar wood fence to keep it from being set on fire. That's how crazy it was. We had to be very vigilant. We are now reaching that same level of concern as to the many uncertainties present.
Get out of South Minneapolis. Nothing is going to change there. Crime will continue as will high property taxes. They’ll never stop voting in the same people over and over. Vote Frey and Omar out.
People who live in the east have way different concerns and seem paranoid to us Americans in the mountain west. I never talk to anyone who expects violence after the election. And I never carry a gun into a Costco or anywhere else.
I’ve traveled all around this country for years now for work from small towns to cities and I agree completely and I’ve said the exact same thing to family and friends back home. The people who make politics and division their lives are few and far between. It’s a media fabrication. Even the riots in Seattle and Portland or any other city involved a relatively small number of people and if cops weren’t told to stand down, those rioters would have been squashed pretty quick. Still not a bad idea to prep for both rioters and not being able to count on cops or national guard to help protect you.
There are many shades of Prepper. We're in the "self-sufficiency" and "grow all your own food" category. Thanks for stopping by to watch and add your thoughts!
Excellent info. We've worked preps into our daily life. The last thing I need and can't seem to find is a way to convince our adult children to takes preps seriously. They're 700 miles away and, if things go badly, they're on their own and possibly out of contact.
I've got kids who are 30 and 700 miles away. You can only mention it to them and then hope they pick up some of the ideas you're tossing their way. Communication is my biggest concern with them. Let's hope it sinks in soon! Cheers Tony!

How coincidental - my daughter and her husband are 30 and 32 years old and the granddaughter is three. They had a baby formula scare a couple of years back and I thought that would be a wake up call. Blankets, items for kids, pets, farm animals; flashlights - batteries - charger; canned food - great manual can openers. Regarding heat: Anita Bailey, PhD (in preparedness) suggested blankets between mattresses to retain heat and to have king/queen sized blankets/sheets to hang over the sides of the bed to retain heat, too. Mason/Ball jars with metal lids for canning and grey, plastic lids (prevent leaks). Learn canning and/or food perserving methods now. Have bug-out bags / buckets of food in your car. Can everyone in your household lift those buckets? Can openers, salt, herbs, utensils, mugs in car? Bartering is returning. What skills/hobbies/interests can be used for eggs, for example? If blankets or towels are unavailable then cardboard between mattresses... Walkie-talkies.
Uff da! Sounds like we might be in for a bumpy ride! The calm, stoic demeanor is the Swede coming through. I'm surprised you used as many words as you did! 😅
I'm not try to create a gas run, but definitely fill up your gas tank. Having a full tank can assist if you need to immediately bug out. Almost every forgets coms, including preppers. Comms is as equal to any of the other preps. Whether it's Ham or Satellite like Starlink, have it and get licensed if needed and know how to use it.
Good video Rich. I'm also a ham, but for people who don't want to climb that hill or who just don't have time, a satellite phone is a very practical option. Even if phones are down nationwide, you can still call or text sat-phone to sat-phone. All US Congress members have one. A small solar panel/battery pack like the BLAVOR 10000 mAh charger to go with the sat-phone is also a good idea and very inexpensive. I'll stop with the backup comms suggestion because an entire prepping course needs a book versus a YT comment. 73
Will Rogers who was indeed a person before his time which is a person of today’s situations….he had common sense that is a commodity lacking almost totally in todays society his adage that fits perfectly our society…..”there are three types of people, those that make things happen, those that watch things happen, and the rest wonder what in the hell just happened.”

Hello! From your farm neighbor from across the Red! We grew up and lived all our lives on the farm and from a long line of true homesteaders! It is an unwritten rule to be prepared , it is part of life.
If something happens, most likely to occur in larger cities (especially DC), not out in the sticks. Knowing your neighbors out in rural areas is the key to “group” protection and community survival.
I couldn't agree more! Just like what happened in Minneapolis, it'll most likely happen in the big cities. I'm hoping that things don't happen in our rural areas. Know your neighbors! Stay safe!
Having a little extra is better than insurance because you already have what you need. It helps a lot if there is a job loss, unexpected expenses, injury or illness that prevents you from working and inclement weather events. These are the most likely scenarios we will all encounter at some point.
Very good advice. I was starting to have doubts about all my preps. Then hurricane Milton hit. We did not sustain damage but went without electricity for 3 days. We did not have to leave our home due to our preps. Now, no more doibts😊
Keep your dishes and clothes washed. In addition to having bottled water, wash containers you have to keep on hand shoukd you decide to fill with water. I keep empty, cleaned laundry detergent bottles and fill them for hand washing. As long as I havr a supply of water, every couple days Inwill water plants with that water or poor in the washing machine so that I don't waste water, but I change the water out. Maybe a little out there for most people! We set our mouse traps. Make sure all our prepared food (boxes, bags) are in something else like plastic totes. We don't tell anyone we stock up!
Consider lifetime change. I used to buy TP every time it was on sale. For decades. Covid I did not buy any for a year. Gave some to family. Until *friend* got upset I was “causing the shortage”. Bull crap. Buying a large pack or two every few months when resupply was easy. Then when shortage I didn’t buy any.
You mentioned communication. Do you have a recommendation for above 10 miles and mobile? Also, are you required to have a permit or license? What if you don’t get a permit?
You don't have a lot of options for 10+ mile communication without ham radio. You are required to get a license to operate (legally). Check out my video on communications for SHTF. Let me know if you can't find it.
Ham radio is the key to this. You can have a frequency to talk 30 miles and a frequency to talk 7,000 miles. I talked to Hawaii today. If you need more help with ham radio, let me know. Cheers!
Maybe you should be planning for a shtsf situation and Minnesota is a liberal hotbed of civil unrest like here in Wisconsin which by the way I left two decades ago…..forewarned is forearmed. And by the way most people plan in todays comfort of living, your realistic truthful mind should be with a few days of going without utilities or a vehicle and maybe a clearer perspective will be yours
We have been prepared for a very long time and continue tweaking. The first thing we did was move away from big cities ad the suburbs a few years ago! Mainly we focused on food, water, meds, pet food, (all the water barrels are totally full for flushing) most used supplies, heat and multiple ways to cook. Going to gas up my car today. I’m getting some cash tomorrow. In case we are shut in we have tons of music on the original iPod and a huge dvd library and things we can do without electricity like stitching and games. People need to think about dealing with human waste. I have a compost set up ready but we live on 7 wooded acres. I also paid our bills like insurance. We have generators and one is 500 watt solar. We lost heat for a month off and on in 2022 with -20 nite time temps. A couple big buddy heaters and fireplace saved us. We also were without water for a week. We had a lot stored but had to buy 2 gallons at the end of the 7 days! 😊
Grid down scenario ahead: internet down, phones down except 911. Relying on electric, plumbing, phones - pfft for a while, perhaps not right now but down the road. 2025 is going to be something.
We have family in Minnesota as well and the last few years have been rough and worrisome. I pray ya'll stay safe and well. Everyone should have these preps under normal circumstances, much less what is coming with crazy times.
Minnesota has been crazy at times. Our leadership has failed to step up. I'm hoping that people will prepare for these times (and nothing will happen). We'll then be prepared for later times. Cheers Big Dogma!!
Do you believe that this would be large -scale, or restricted to a few large cities? I live in a medium -sized West Texas city, and am a single, senior, on a fixed income - so this is worrying. I do try to keep stocked up on basics and food- but it isn't feasible for me to do major prepping - financial and health circumstances have me limited. I imagine that others are in similar situations and would be in dire straits if anything hugely disastrous were to happen
Good tips for every day and not just an election or world event. Even preparing for bad weather etc. Sadly people have become complacent since we are several years out from the pandemic I’ve noticed. Def stock up on the ammo you mentioned. Urban unrest will spread. Cheers!

Just absolutely crazy how any of us got here, talking about any of this. I'm almost 76 years old & I still remember my parents going to vote one way, going with a couple to vote, that was voting for the opposite...no arguments, hard feelings, no talk of civil unrest...what the hell happened to our "United States" of America? We shouldn't even have to have this conversation at all...encourage everyone to vote, but to vote for who they think is best & leave it at that...this isn't war...this is an election!! If your party doesn't win this time, most likely they will next time...that's life!! Thanks for not making this a political video too, while so many others are, when it's just not necessary!!
When your parents went to vote, one party wasn’t calling the other party Nazi, Fascist, Racist, Deplorable, and Garbage, right?
I'm not going to try and analyze the politics of all this. Just looking at how to live my life and let others live theirs. Cheers to the United States!!
Certain political systems require divisions of the people to distract them from the elimination of the current political system and the forced acceptance of a new system.

We have become the most easily led sheep on the planet, we Americans.
You know what stands out for me, which has only really been a thing for 10 or 15 years now?
Almost nobody ever questions what they're told by their own "side". Nobody ever does even the most basic research of primary sources or fact checking or even gut checking to see if what they're being told is even remotely plausible. If it confirms their existing biases, they believe whatever loony conspiracy theory they're told as if God himself handed it down to them on the mountain.
People who do that are sheep.
I totally agree with that. 👏👍👍
Hubs has never really thought about things like this but went through a mess a couple years ago during freeze in TX as a trucker. He just came in from errands and popped his head in to tell me he did several things you mentioned without any encouragement from me. ~one thankful wife

100%, you took the words right out of my mouth!
I'd never think of a Prepper as a negative thing. I've always said we were striving for self-sufficiency. Maybe two things that are the same thing. We always want to be ready..."just in case."
@@TheOldSwedesFarm There are a couple of different concepts at play in prepping:
There are lots of people who legitimately try to prepare for emergencies - mostly the real world ones that happen like hurricanes, extended power outages etc.

You're totally correct. Preparation can be for any emergency. I'm praying we don't have to use any supplies after tomorrow. Cheers Julie!
And strikes...
1) top off your gas tanks of your vehicles keep your fuel tanks full
2) withdraw cash, bills in multiple denominations especially small bills
3) toilet paper or other supplies you use in daily life.
4) water. such as 5 gallon jugs
5) food. stock your pantry with food you want to eat.
6) food and supplies for your animals and pets.
7) first aid and medications.
8) communications. radios or walkie talkies.
9) bugout go-bag if you are in a high risk area where you might need to flee.
10) heating fuel or supplies to keep warm.
11) power or electricity backups

I can't breathe. I remember 😡
I hope nothing happens. I fear you're closer to any "reactions" than I am. Stay safe.

We are a lot less divided at ground level than is portrayed on the news and online.
ABSOLUTELY
Always good idea to be prepared regardless of situation.
Yep. The garden and the chickens sure help us have a leg up. Hope you're doing well Lisa. Cheers!

Good video Rich. I'm also a ham, but for people who don't want to climb that hill or who just don't have time, a satellite phone is a very practical option. Even if phones are down nationwide, you can still call or text sat-phone to sat-phone. All US Congress members have one.
Stay safe!
The rural areas, have Militia's in training. You're being foolish if you think you're immune. Oklahoma City wasn't exactly urban, when they bombed it.
Having a little extra is better than insurance because you already have what you need. It helps a lot if there is a job loss, unexpected expenses, injury or illness that prevents you from working and inclement weather events. These are the most likely scenarios we will all encounter at some point.
Agreed. Our supplies are not just for a disaster. There are lots of scenarios where this could be used. Thanks for stopping by!
Very good advice. I was starting to have doubts about all my preps. Then hurricane Milton hit. We did not sustain damage but went without electricity for 3 days. We did not have to leave our home due to our preps. Now, no more doibts😊

Thank you for your concern… the only hole in our preps is communication. One son is 30 miles away and the other is in HI (we’re on the east coast).
Ham radio is the key to this. You can have a frequency to talk 30 miles and a frequency to talk 7,000 miles. I talked to Hawaii today. If you need more help with ham radio, let me know. Cheers!
Biggest thing is to PRAY in JESUS name for our country!!
You are prepared and have tested your preparations. Congrats on all you've done! Cheers!

Do you believe that this would be large -scale, or restricted to a few large cities? I live in a medium -sized West Texas city, and am a single, senior, on a fixed income - so this is worrying. I'm not much of a HAM expert but I do have my general and an HF radio that my friend encourage me to get. I think he is at your level. On everything else except for age and animals and garden (When I was young. I'm about 80 now.) I am pretty much like you, except I'm internet illiterate. I live in the central Idaho Panhandle.
Keep in touch with your net. They will help you if there is unrest. A great source of information. 73 Patrick!
@@TheOldSwedesFarm The don't stress preparedness and I am more prepared than anyone I know. I have a few neighbors that do the same, My only concern in my area is in North Idaho where militias train, though it is illegal, and White conservative Christian nationalism. I don't worry about anyone breaking into my home, for instance. My county is unusual in that it has a tactical firearms center and it is kept busy. I have bad knees so I stopped training at the age of 69, but at that time I took all that was offered. Several months ago, I was in our county seat and saw a pickup with a bumper sticker that said, "I own firearms and a backhoe." I mentioned that to our county assessor and she was not surprised. I wish the local Ham club was into preparedness but they are not. A few years ago I started two different nets, trying to get that started but people prepare on their own here especially since 10% of this county is Mormon. Eventually we disbanded.
Nice advice - always a good idea to be prepared for the unexpected.♦
We have tried to be ready for every situation. I hope we are over reacting! Cheers Anne!

Walk softly and carry a big stick....
Great advice !
