- This update was amazing! Ever since 2 years ago I avoided all leaks to experience Darnell and Nene alongside the return of Pico. I think my favorite song of the update is probably 2hot, so maybe a remix of that in the future...?
I'm surprised this update wasn't called Week 8, but Week End 1 sounds interesting as well.

Gotta admit I wasn’t expecting much at all considering the insane mods that basically make FNF for the devs, but once I saw that cutscene and how the elements of the visuals change subtly overtime has me interested in FNF as a whole again.

Overtime, I feel like mods have lost the identity of FNF and started turning it into something else.
This update reminded me why I fell in love with it.
one of my friends compare FNF base game as eating your grandmas food and the mods as fancy restaurants

This will not be the last update before the base game thankfully, one of the team members said we can expect more consistent updates and whatnot which is great, we are so back!!!

Despite what people say, Nightmare is actually implemented. And yes, it IS just a harder Erect difficulty, but not by much.
Nightmare is basically the hard difficulty of the remixes.
The regular erect is just the normal difficulty.
hopefully the team figures out what to do with it, considering it was the highest kickstarter goal when released I doubt they have a solid idea as to how to implement Nightmare difficulty without it feeling like an unnecessary game feature (if their answer is more arrows we're all done for)
Erect is the equivalent to Normal difficulty, while Nightmare is the equivalent to Hard for the Erect Remixes.
And I think is fair since not everyone is good at Hard more and are better in Normal.

@@whosrizumu9401 true but considering how far off from that goal they were it's likely that the idea for some form of "nightmare" difficulty or au as mentioned in the kickstarter was the least developed concept for the full game
9:55 this cutscene didn’t play for me when I first played it so I was very confused when the 4th song started to play
doesn't play in the windows version because of a bug pretty sure
now we just have to wait 5 or 6 years for the actual game, but at least they actually updated it, also seeing how much has changed with the menus and the end screen, it's understandable why it took abit longer then expected
"Art and Concepts" for the base game (ie the og 20 weeks plus erect remixes) are about 60% done, phantomarcade says. at worst i'd say itll take three more years for that, possibly less assuming a lot of that first year after the kickstarter was legal stuff
i would say that's actually very good progress in about 2 years of development i can be fully certain on. 120 songs MINIMUM upon full release wont be bad at all...

Still in awe of how sick this update is, it seriously blew me out of the water! Great job on your playthrough man, you did great considering the long FNF hiatus!
the reason it's not called week 8 is because it isn't week 8. They seemingly intentionally divided the v slice update to trickle new content which is why this update, while good, seems small for 3 years
they def removed some stuff because it was unfinished, we're missing 2 erect remixes in week 4 and the entirety of week 5
And not to mention an entire rework of the internal system like how it handles files, better code, and such
they nearly coded the whole game from scratch to improve the system, and even improve the modding capability, this is basically FNF 2, so of course it would took them large amount of times to make this
not to mention getting Saster and Saruky to make new songs, and even getting animated cutscenes too, if you could just take your time to discover what's new, you would find this is impressive for a SMALL team

@@svgaming263 when is this become a competition? yeah, the modder is more talented than the dev team, but so what?
this is their game, and they want to make this game by themselves, and not want to spend more money to hire more people is their own choice
if anything, i'm glad that they do take their times and moneys to actually learn how to improve on their code, even go out of their way to make modding more easier so that even more people with more talent than them could make the game better

I mean to be fair I think the fan base dose enough for it so it doesn't need to spread out as much, I don't think it's a flash in the pan, but unless content farms get there slime covers unholy hands, but I don't think it will peak as it did before
@josephross8753 to be honest, I actually think that content farms would make things worse for fnf. Think about it, due to the inherent nature of content farms, they are everywhere, even at one point taking the form of TH-cam ads that you would see when scrolling through TH-cam, leading many to associate the franchise with those ads/content farms, pushing away people who would've been, or already are fans away from the franchise as to not be associated with the negative content related to it, as someone who literally fell out of the fnf community partially because of content farms, I can tell you that such situations do happen. On top of that, content farms exclusively target franchises that are popular and trendy, particularly with younger audiences. This is because such franchises allow their videos to get pushed through the algorithm. In other words, content farms are an indicator of massive popularity, not a contributor due to how they function.
@@ansrfururactions I guess you're right about content farm being more of a leach, I just have doubts even with a full release it will reach the peak it had at the beginning, I think the fan base is still well, with the modding scene still chugging.

nightmare difficulty: 💀 (also yes nightmare is implemented and is a harder or buffed version of erect remixes)

It's very noticeable that erect Roses was made to be played in nightmare difficulty. Some of the notes don't fully sync with the vocals

Yeah lets go Retro! That song SLAPS, the metal scream is great, visuals are sleek, and the music is good as always, your soundtracks never ever go anywhere below 7/10 in my ratings, my thoughts on this one were that it's kinda like OneShot, not trying to be something crazy or anything, but just really solid all the way through, the only thing is the note color being Retros', but I am sure you'll get around to changing that, keep up the good work! You rock! 🤟
oh, well, more of a good job to Kamex on this one then, still, all the soundtracks in the current version mod are GREAT, truly, the only ones that in my mind are not amazing are Sigma and Preppy, though, maybe I need to listen to them more, for me that happens a bunch where at first I am somehow not too impressed with a song and then come back a while later and realise it's amazing :/
P.S. On that note, I always thought that Satisfracture, as the first song you really encounter in the mod, is an AWESOME introduction, again, I'll compare it to OneShot, that "enough." is super simple, but it just adds so much flavor, and I always liked the chart, and I think the different sprites were an update at some point, those do add a lot too

Man, not sure if its been just me but I kinda miss the whole Old RetroSpecter Content with Remixing Songs and such. sure its nice to see Retro earn Success till this day but Comparing some of his newer Videos with most of them just about his Mod, Selling Plushies and such to his Remixes there is a slight Noticeable Difference that's gone a bit down. I like Retro but becuase of this Titlewave of Just FNF Content just makes him feel like an a dude in his 30s trying to stay hip and cool with the kids ( And funnily his new VTuber makes it look like that more lol ).
You're literally only saying all of this because you're not interested in fnf. Just because the topic is of something you're not interested does not mean the quality has "gone down" Your interest has and that's okay. The guy is making content he's interested in. If he really cared about staying hip with the kids he'd be doing content farm slop of TADC or whatever mascot horror is hot rn lol
