What a wonderful portrayal of this amazing area. I live not too far from Aguirre Springs and have been on that trail many times and it is so beautiful. I love the way you captured those springs in winter, the gnarly old trees and the huge rocks. I am heading to the other side of the Organ Mountains today, another favorite spot, Dripping Springs. Again, well done.

Thank you kindly, Tom. You live in a beautiful area. It means a lot to hear someone who lives in an area that we cover in a video, say that we portray it well.

Hi Kids. That was a helluva trail. Do you happen to know what the elevation was at it's highest point? Didn't expect to see a ponderosa that big in that country. I've sniffed a few myself. And that sign was awesome...every trail in rough country should have one to give a heads-up to those clueless city slickers. See you next video.

Hi ya, Paul. The elevation at the midpoint of the trail is 6,880 feet. That's close to the highest elevation of the trail. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I traversed the trail with you and I'm not even winded :-) Looks like a beautiful spot to camp.

Ha ha ha. That's one of the best ways to hike... vicariously. It is truly beautiful and rugged country.

The Aguirre Spring Campground is a nice facility. Covered table and nice fire pit nearby. How close was this to the trailhead? Walking distance or did you drive to the trail from the camp site?

Hello, Jan. From our campsite, it was within walking distance.

Just checked the website. Nice... How do you like the luminoodle?

Thank you, performance. We like the Luminoodle. It's light, fun and easy to pack. It has three adjustible magnets so it will stick to metal surfaces, like the leg of the canopy over the picnic table in this video. The Luminoodle even has a remote for changing the light settings and turning it off/on. It plugs into any USB battery pack for power.
