The Perch That Ate My Frog

Join us as we hit the canal on the hunt for big perch using the Z-Man Finesse Frogz on a Texas rig. Despite losing most of our footage and audio from a previous session, we did manage to capture a few nice ones for you all.

just found your channel, great fishing. I've starting lake and canal fishing with my son in wales recently and loving it, only pike so far. What hooks are you using with those frogs ? i'm still pretty new to it.

It's best to use a 2/0 EWG style hook with the finesse frogz. Great to hear that you have both recently got into the sport. Pike certainly put up a good scrap 👍.

Sorry mate! We appreciate its been a while but with rubbish conditions and less than spectacular fishing its been a bit of a struggle. How's things your end?

@@UltralightLads Similar. Wet Spring made for a tough bite. I've been getting into the Saltwater bite as well this year. Chasing Striped Bass and Bluefish to counter all the Ultralight creek fishing.

@@UltralightLads Slow start and no monsters, but I've gotten a few so far. My PB is 19 pounds and 36" so far, but hoping to upgrade that soon. 🤞
