In regards to the fat Ash Ketchum in Dave the Diver, his name being Sato is also a reference to Ash's Japanese name, Satoshi, which in itself is a reference to the creator of Pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri. Talk about a triple Easter egg!
The rooftop Half-Life Easter egg in 'Just Crow Things' is also likely a reference to "Lambda Caches" hidden around City 17 and the surrounding areas in Half-Life 2 by the resistance.
1:50 This isn't simply an easter egg referencing Link, it's specifically an easter egg referencing the start of Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, where Link is sleeping in his room and is awoken by a Loftwing (i.e. bird). Though in that case it's by the Loftwing spitting a letter at him and not its squawk IIRC, but close enough. (The room in Just Crow Things is even quite similar to Link's bedroom in that game!)
I think i found an easter egg in Ready or Not, on the mission Greased Palms (the postal service one), you can find a crowbar that is very similar to Gordan Freemans's from the Half Life series. It is on the floor of a mail truck in front of some crates full of weapons, on the left side of the map in the loading dock area, past the sideways semitruck. As far as I can tell no one else has mentioned this, but I could be wrong.
Impression: 9/10 Got the correct spelling (Director confirmed that it's "ki ki ki, ma ma ma", as its meaning is "kill kill kill, mom mom mom", and Jason is doing his thing to avenge his mother)
If you consider those Easter Eggs in Dave the Diver, then you have only scratched the surface of the Easter Eggs in that game Some more of the people that you can hire are streamers. The one that I know for sure is Cohh from CohhCarnage, but there is also a guy called Rapter that I understand is another streamer. I am sure that a bunch of the others are too, but I do not know them Another one of the chefs that trains people I am rather sure is a reference to Julia Child Many of the melee weapons that you find have gimmicks that are references too. The golf club references golf games. The chicken has a very iconic sound, and the shovel has you attack like Shovel Knight just to name a few. Mjolnir is also in the game, toward the end After a while you will get a farm and then a chicken coop on that farm. Check the back of the coop for another Easter Egg
Not sure if you played Core Keeper but there's something you can buy from the seasonal merchant that you can only buy during the chistmas holiday, but luckily there's a seasonal override in the main menu. You'll need to craft the festival workbench. I think I ran into another easter egg but not completely sure and will have to look for it again.
*CaptainEggcellent shows the Star Wars carbonite easter egg* "Well mayyyybe it's not a reference to that, but a coincidence. It most likely is an easter egg, but just maybe not" *Ignites lightsaber* "Oh"
So i dunno if this was covered but in Ghost of Tsushima DLC Iki Island there is a reference to Kratos and God of War. There is a place called Statue of Ash, there you will find a tree with a hand mark and an axe on it which is a reference to God of War 4, if you wear the Sakai Armor and use the Draw Sword Posture (KB Default 5) near the tree your armor will turn to ash color and have markings similar to Kratos' and incidentally the Armor pieces is called Ghost of Sparta.
@@CaptainEggcellent cool, i just finished GoT few days ago so am late for the party, also since there are already so many episodes its hard to remember everything thats covered so kudos to you for remembering. 👍

A hidden detail from me - Hand of Fate 2. When you fail in one of the minigames (dice roll, card draw, pendulum), quit the game immediately with alt+f4 and then turn the game on again straight away. When going into main menu The Dealer will say something along the lines "when cheating the game you only cheat yourself". I played the game over a year ago, so it might have changed in the meantime with one of the patches that came along the way, but I highly doubt it. Also, when you repeat the process - quit, game on, quote, play; quit, game on, quote, play, Dealer always said the same thing, there was no variation. Or at least the 5 times in a row, when I messed up the dice roll. Also Also, it's the only way I did it, and it always occured. I don't know if you can get this or other quotes in any other way.
@CaptainEggcellent You really need to do a video on Star Wara Outlaws, it has a lot of cool little details and a very obvious overused video game easter egg of the week contender 😅 I don't know if you have covered those yet but: - there is a working gouillutine near the Hotel the Ville in AC: Unity - during a story mission in AC: Unity you can find a man in the sewers mubeling 'my precious' in french - In FF7: Rebirth, while you are in Zack's hometown you can find Yuffie in one of the huts singing her own theme from the OG FF7

idk if u seen this but: in Skyrim if u go on the road to Dustman's Cairn you will see cart tipped over with cabbages next to it. I think that's the easter egg for Avatar the last air bender.
0:52 it is also a reference to the old Polish film "Paweł Jumper" where the titular Paweł jumps on a bike and curses in the same way as the messages on the phone next to him are written
Okay so the guy from Crime Scene Cleaner in 1:10 have an audio recording next to it which is a easter egg on it's own referancing "Paweł Jumper" a Polish video of a Guy who tried to jump from a small elevation on a bike but it didn't work out (yes the whole scene of how that guy in the game died is a referance to that video as there's a bike right next to the body). Just the differance is, Paweł Jumper didn't died.
For your youtubers series in Dave the Diver one of the people you can hire is Dreaghast. A youtuber who showed the game fairly early and was put into the game as a person you can hire.

Here's a suggestion for a future video game that you haven't done yet. The VR game Waltz of the Wizard has tons of amusing Easter eggs, including an overused one that's obvious to reference in a game with Wizard in the name.
There's a Dalek in fallout 76. It's in the Old Crimora Mines. At the very end in the little boss room, there's a spot under the main walkway you can jetpack to, with a bucket sporting a helmet, plunger and wonderglue bottle
I don't know if this has been told to you before, but in the Resident Evil 2 remake, when your character goes into the gas station, there is an ice cream freezer that does a mini tutorial on Herbs. It calls itself herb ice cream, and how herbs heal you
In crime scene cleaner, there is an easter egg where you look in a drawer. Inside the drawer there is 5 brown sugar and 1 plain white sugar up front in the middle of them.
Although it's an overused Easter egg I think they get a pass for all of the other more clever ones. It's kinda nice that the crowbar is the go to half life reference but it's not going to fall into that realm of overused because it's just iconic and the surefire way people realize what it is referring to. The others that are overused there are other things that they could use to reference back to the future, Star wars, It/pennywise, and so on.
Dave the diver has plenty of those nods to pop culture and is what helped it be popular. Hey there are more bots in Astro's Playground that you havent seen i dont know where they are since it was just a community post i seen but there are 3 Persona Series Bots in the game in order of the Series its Aegis from Persona 3 and i think if you hit her then she will use an attack and then be steaming since she is an android, Teddie From Persona 4 and you can find him staring at a TV and if you hit him his head will get stuck in the TV referencing the Midnight Channel the way the heroes get into the Metaverse, And finally Joker from Persona 5(and its other games like 5 Royal, Strikers/Scramble and Tactica) in his Phantom Theif attire and if you hit him he will do some tricks and then throw a card referencing how the Heroes of the Persona 5 games send a calling card to the villians they are targeting so that their "Treasure" cannbe materialized in the Palace/Jail they are traversing through in the metaverse to change the villain's heart for the better
There one bot you miss in Astros Playroom..
Dante From Devil May Cry Series
Ash's name in Japanese is Satoshi, so the guys name being Sato is just perfect
There is Mashima bot as well from tekken
Hey Cap, just wondering could you do Easter Eggs and secrets found on gaming consoles I know it’s not games but some company’s take there time to put secrets in the code of the console itself for example: the Original Xbox and the whispers.
So the gems from the pots in Just Crow Things look like the gemstones from Spyro not sure if that's another easter egg or not though...
Yeah they do! I just think that being so close to link, it’s more like a Zelda reference
5:35 10/10!
In crime scene cleaner there are a bunch of ducks in the museum level and one was a duck coming out of a TV like in the ring
Covered that a couple of videos back. That whole room is full of movie Easter eggs
The Gran Turismo bot's puzzle reminds me very much of another game... but I can't name it without that actually being a spoiler. For those that don't care.............
Tunic's second half, specifically the Holy Cross mechanics.
Lamda is a letter, not a number.
5:35 He’s actually hearing the words Kill Kill Kill Mom Mom Mom, not Chi or Ha or Hoo.
Fun fact: Ash Ketchum's character's name in the Japanese version is Satoshi.
Ah yes, I remember The Jedi Master, Han Solo.
I would put Yakuza games on here, especially Like a Dragon. That game has a whole side quest of encountering all the different enemies in the game and logging to a Dex of sorts...gotta fight them all!
