I would die of happiness overload.
As the "quote unquote" director of references in there, it was fun spending time in the streams and suggesting and working on all the smaller background details as well as the re-drawings of Twi in uniform as well as all the other elements.
The whole animation is truly inspirational and I hope it will give many folks a kick in gears to get to work on their own ideas and hopefully we all get to put our small piece of work into to create even more spectacular pony contexts in the near future.
This is now a cannon episode of season 1. Nothing can tell me otherwise
The "Viva la Revolución!" caught me off guard. Got to admit, it was pretty fun to watch!

I watched this amazing animation when it was unlisted, And I must say Clipper you once again created an absolute masterpiece! Just like the last one you managed to make this vid feel like an actual episode of the FIM series it was ever so wholesome to watch Pinkie Pie go on this crazy quest to hug everypony in Ponyville!!!

In addition to the excellent work of the animators, I want to thank the writers. what a cool idea you came up with, immersing us again in this atmosphere. I spent the entire cartoon thinking that this was a script for a real, unreleased episode. you all did a great job. I was afraid that since the cartoon lasts 40 minutes, everything would be boring and exaggerated. but you got an awesome two-part series.
Thank you for making this, after all these years, you were still able to capture the true essence.

The pacing has that fan-animation slowness to it, like you wanted to stretch this to be as long as possible even at the cost of big gaps between sentences. But given how long this ended up being, it's clear that was not necessasry. With upgraded pacing this still would have been over 22 minutes long, which is great! The fact this is the ONLY complaint I can make is also great! Though the inclusion of docks in the models is a bit weird, but that's probably by intention. It gives them a distinct difference to the official models which is likely legally helpful, and makes the characters just look a little more naked. A win/win for /mlp/
The story, jokes, characterisations, are all perfectly on point! I could even tell from the writing that this was trying to emulate the earlier season energies. Twilight's lack of wings might have tipped me off, but the writing really makes this feel like a season 2 episode. Can't be season 1 because the words "die" and "death" were used, and season 1 had insanely strict rules on language use as it was aimed at literal babies.
But anyway yeah, that was a good wholesome episode! Definitely passes the minimum bar of quality the show set by a decent amount.
I can only hope they don't restrict you again.

This comes pretty close to feeling like a lost episode of the show. I do wonder whether the adult (prostitution) joke near the end would have been able to fly under Hasbro's (or the Hub's) radar though. Probably not!

Hell, you know, I remember when I was in middle school (back when I was watching the show in its heyday, coincidentally enough lawl), I recall having these EXACT SAME lines of thought about "how would it work if hugs were monetized?" "What counts as a hug?" Etc. Just loose lines of thought I had when I was bored in class, hahaha, completely forgot about it until now. Wish I had a better memory, the random shit you think about as a kid really can lend itself to some great stories...
