@@iLouieTube at the price point of the FL5 and considering that is turbocharged… there are other potentially better alternatives and still great driver cars. I went for a RWD car

I have owned and driven a FD2 Type R for 11 years! It is one bloody amazing car and I still cant get enough of it.

Recently watched a history on the Honda v-tecs, all the models, which included this one...and I was impressed, and now I'm even more impressed! That exhaust note is gorgeous! What a superb Honda. Another sick vid thank you 😍

I've owned a 2001 Integra Type R, a 1997 Civic Type R, and a 1996 Integra Type R sedan, and I would concur that the FD2 is the greatest FWD car ever made. Word to the owner though, coat the trunk jambs. Hondas always rust out quick in the trunk and hatch jambs.
The FD2 is amazing. They don’t do cars like this anymore.
The fact that its a 4 door and still kicking ass is jus awesome 😎
I have only owned mine for almost a year now, and I must say it is just fantastic. These models of Honda enginuity are phenomenal!

The front bumper its not a type R ones, typeR dont have foglight, instead it has vents to allow air to channel thru into the brake ducts

Ive always much prefered rear or all wheel drive but cars like this make me want an ff. Only one ive ever owned was an rsx, and even with 160hp it was a blast to hit vtec on backroads

I was lucky to own one fresh from Japan from Keighley trade centre with 43 kilometres sold it with 18,000 miles on it and all so took it on a track day..👌🏽

i have an all stock phdm fd2 and i've always wondered how essentially different it is from the real fd2 factory spec type r civic (outside of its bodykits, calipers, and all).

Wicked cars . Prices have come down a lot recently which is nice . You can pick a decent one up for 10 k now . Seriously tempted . It's the only honda I would replace my accord type r with .
FD2R a car love by Asia Countries. There are plenty of FD2Rs out here. It never once bore anyone’s attention truly a lovely and fantastic car! Cheap on maintanence, consider a track car able to be used as a daily driving. Drove this car for 2 years and sadly had to sell this baby out. It was my worst time of my life but my wife was killing me. This car will never dissapoint you, once you’re in it you will never want to get out of it, mark my words this car is simply amazingly raw.

Has anyone driven one of these and a CL7 type R? I'd be interested to hear how different they are to drive, I know there is a 200kg weight difference how significant is the impact of that on the accords performance?
Have owned a cl7 euro r for 6 years and currently driving a fd2. The weight different is definitely noticeable when cornering and I can tell you the fd2 is purely a driver focus, track ready car. However, the cl7 euro gives you much comfort on the normal road since it has much better noise insulation. I’d say both cars have its characteristics, it all comes down to what you a looking for. If you want something smooth and comfort yet some happy revving for regular driving, cl7 is definitely the way to go. If you just care about driver focus and performance, then the fd2 is the way to go. Hope this helps you.
