The lyrics deal with the criminal case of Armin Meiwes, the so-called “Cannibal of Rotenburg”. Short excerpt from wikipedia: After his mother's death in 1999, he used a personal ad to look for people on the Internet who were willing to make themselves available as victims of cannibalism. In February 2001, he met the then 43-year-old graduate engineer Bernd Jürgen Brandes, who until recently held a managerial position at Siemens AG in Berlin and, according to a witness, had already expressed a desire for mutilation in the Berlin hustler scene. On March 9, 2001, Meiwes and Brandes met at Kassel train station and drove to Meiwes' house in Rotenburg-Wüstefeld. Meiwes stated repeatedly and without contradicting himself that Brandes had consented to the cutting off of the outer part of his penis and the attempted consumption of his genitals, as well as to the killing by Meiwes a few hours later.

It was not his friend, this story is more crazy. This Guy, but up an advertisement and asked, who wants to be. eaten and another crazy one answered it. And well, at the beginning, they started with his "Teil". Till sings here from the perspective of that one, who gets eaten. They eat together this part, but the other one passed out, after a while. And they truly have known each other only through this ridicules advert. And some out there things Rammstein is crazy? Well, you better think twice the next time.

I saw Rammstein in Minneapolis in 2022 but my view of Till burning the pot that Flake is in was obstructed by a one of the towers that shoots fire and smoke. I’m so frustrated that I didn’t go to the concourse level to film instead. Oh well. I want to see them again to make up for it.

- "You are what you eat" -> here Rammstein took a slogan from German health movement, which intends to say "if you eat healthy food you are healthier yourself". Of course in the context of cannibalism this gets a interesting new meaning.
- In court - he said it was the victims wish to die like this. Nevertheless he got a lifetime sentence for murder.
- The Cannibal sued Rammstein for making this song, because they "stole his story" (without asking or paying) - I don't know how this ended
