On day 2 of our adventure we work our way from Coniston to the Langdale Valley. This section was a lot of fun with some amazing natural features along the way. I hope you enjoy it!! If you would like to support my channel that would be amazing 😀: buymeacoffee.com/trekkingwithtony
Just the sort of trekking content I enjoy, with a mixture of filming perspectives including drone footage and complete with a proper explanation of the route that actually marks it out for the viewer on an easy-to-understand map. I also like the well-balanced, not-overbearing music, that you break up the video with timestamps and that the pace is realistic for the majority of us! Great stuff, thanks.
You are right, it is a fantastic part. I was looking forward to it as I have walked a lot of the parts of the Cumbria Way on that section but not in one go so was looking forward to piecing it all together. I'm looking forward to showing it to you on Sunday! Enjoy it out there mate 😀⛰
Fantastic video with stunning scenery and beautiful peaks. I’m in the lakes walking frequently. I’ll look out for the pair of you when I’m next exploring the area. Look forward to seeing more of your adventures together. D
Enjoyed that one through very familiar territory around Elterwater. We go to the Langdale hotel a week on Thursday and planning to go up Pike O Blisco with the Mrs weather permitting and also bag a couple more Wainwrights on the Friday. Intention is to do a vlog on the POB walk. Talking of Wainwrights we will be in there on the Thursday and Friday evening hope the log fire will be raging. I hate flying my drone over water I get nervous, great shots tho, Tony.
Hi Mike, Glad you enjoyed it mate. POB is a great walk, it’s on my re-record list for this year. I’ll look forward to seeing your route ⛰️. I hope it stays clear for you. Yes, I’m very careful of the trees around water so tend to go pretty high😅. Enjoy your trip mate ⛰️😁🥾
Hi Tony, Hi Allison. Loved watching that, again it brings back so many memories. Wow, there was some water coming down over Skelwith Force. Although day 2 is a shorter day it didn’t seem it to me. The view of Harrison Stickle and Pavey are ahead as you walk down Great Langdale has to be one of the best in the Lakes. As you know we stayed in Great Langdale campsite but we did go to the ODG that night for 3 or 4 pints. 😃🥾⛰🏕️🍻
Hi Dave, Yes, definitely more home territory to me than day 1. Also great to get the weather after a wet day 1. Loved walking into the valley with Harrison and Pavey dead ahead although it did seem a long couple of miles from the wainwright pub. We may have started celebrating too early 😂 🍻 ⛰️😁🥾
I think this section is one of the best, love the woods and the glades. Britannia doe Lovely food and it a welcome break. on the last part after the Base Brown campsite I took the right over the little bridge then left as the path is much better than the official route and take you to New Dungeon Gill
Nice one Nic, I’ve still to eat at the Britannia but hope too soon. Still plenty of like to show over there. I know which turn off you mean. Makes more sense as a route. I’ll look forward to showing day 3 on Sunday. Enjoy it out there mate ⛰️😁🥾
Hi Tony, Thanks mate, it was a beautiful day☀. Coniston is a great start point for sure. I wanted to do the whole route just so that I'd completed it but going again I'd definitely start in Coniston. I'll look forward to seeing your thoughts on it. Enjoy it out there mate⛰😃🥾

I’m glad to bring back those memories for you. All the best out there mate ⛰️😁🥾
Great walk and informative video, as usual. The next part of the Cumbria way is best. The Langstrath Valley is stunningly beautiful. Enjoy!

Great turning circle, those cars, perfect for ewe turns 😅
Tough finding enough space in that car park though - it looks rammed
Wow photography and editing is fantastic, makes you really appreciate just how stunningly beautiful it is - great job 👌🏻
Hi Dean, Thanks mate we really enjoyed it and are just on our way out for a crisp winter walk. All the best out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

Thanks Andy, A welcome shortest day to follow the longest👌. Enjoy it out there mate ⛰️😁🥾
Just ready for the climb up to Stickle Tarn then? Been to all those locations so many times - great video
Thanks mate, Stickle Tarn is a good one. We braved Jack's Rake in the summer which was quite the challenge. enjoy it out there😃⛰
wonderful...so beautiful around Tarn hows.
Thanks mate, it’s a beautiful spot ⛰️😁🥾

@@trekkingwithtony We had a big fat burger and a couple of beers in the Wainwright pub so that fuelled us for the last couple of miles. 🤣

Your companion has a pair and obviously knows how to use them, but why don’t you use sticks?
Thanks mate, Allison needs a bit more support than myself😂. Enjoy it out there😃⛰
😂
👏👏👏👏
Taken me ages to watch this video.!!!
Thanks Bernard, you hope you enjoyed it 🥾😁⛰️
I went in the pub in elterwater, charged me same price for pint of shandy as a pint of lager! So I nicked the glass...😄😄
Haha, remind me never to get a shandy there 😂. Enjoy it out there mate ⛰️😁🥾
Good to see you had a better day today.
I’m considering doing it next Easter, but I’ll start in Coniston.
