And they going for 300+mph to keep it close when they are reaching 1000+ yard cap to 300+ yard remaining then rubberband off. Like Kuru said, when AI reaching certain distance, they will rubberband hard to keep the gap minimum and when they taking lead too far, they simply removed that and no rubberband to slow them on highway. This rubberband only work on Highway, but did not work on streets because they simply keep crashing into walls, buildings and other cars due too much speed to control. Thats why Highway run is less enjoyable than street or urban runs.
While the top speed cap is a bit annoying, it's also understandable for it to be there. It's already difficult enough to avoid things at 200 mph given the incredible sense of speed, doing 260 would be almost impossible, but it would still be fun to try.
Obviously this game isn't meant to be realistic, but it's still bit stupid imo, hitting the actual top speed would been better, and as you said about avoiding, that's the fun bit imo, because it would require bit more effort and skill, plus game itself says that this car does around 260 (even in stock), which can make any car stats bullshit.

it can be done, but it’s very inconsistent. More likely than not you’ll fishtail and spin out. I kinda like this new handling tbh, a tad shame that some cars are basically not competitive, but it brings a lot more character to each car and a lot more planning on your part to decide which car you’ll pick

From what I've seen, handles more smoothly than the Regera. Problem is that it's acceleration nearly comes to a complete halt past 200 MPH, and it also doesn't help that it's speed-capped, like the Regera, at 245 MPH.
@Donald Pump - "Make America Lift Again" Though it would be funny do drive something that fast, it would be extremely difficult to even control the car going faster than 265 MPH. It would also be very hard to even reach those speeds based on how the map is structured plus the amount of cars.
i think something that will be funny to drive is the engine swapped pontiac firebird it gets a 1500hp w16 bugatti engine lol it will be hilariously unsafe i'd imagine

Unbound spawns a civilian vehicle in your path just entering your field of sight. No one except ISAD can change the direction of the Chiron at that speed and boom. You respawn and by the time you are humanly back, seven opponent cars have passed your dead ass. :)
