Or chicken stock powder, thyme and black pepper? Even without all of that, you can always wake me up for a plate of roasties, just on their own.

A tip. My grandmother in Italy, Sears potatoes with fresh rosemary and marsala wine. Then she adds flakes salt to the end, The masala wine is sweet, and it’s really nice combination with the rosemary and salt. The marsala wine should be like a molasses in the end. But just a little, it should not swim in the wine.
Fabulous. Had these at a killer catered private party in Park City. I had to go in the kitchen and get the chef to let me watch him cook these. They are awesome!!

They cost about thirty dollars, come made to just use Butane fuel (& there is a way to add an adapter to convert to propane, which is cheaper) but some do come with the ability to cook with butane and Propane, Cost a little more price of stove. If you want to save money on butane cartridges, buy them at stores that sell asian food items at about $2.50 each typically in a 4pack @ $10. Otherwise the price of the butane cartridges are astronomically overpriced. Keep the setting very low on the flame to preserve fuel cost. Don't be afraid of these stoves they were great.

Done this already......Only thing I did different was peel the garlic FIRST then slow bake so the garlic can be BROKEN DOWN into the broth to incorporate the flavor correctly.........Oh we ALL can cook........🎉😂

Evenly shaped potato disks, brown in oil in a frying pan, brown on each side, add butter, garlic, thyme, baste potatoes, add broth, put in oven until done. For a more exact recipe, Google Fondant Potatoes.
Don’t do roasted spuds dirty like that! Got bailed out by roast potatoes and a grilled fish of some kind so many times when I forgot to organise my weekend specials back in the day 😂
We had a whole introduction to potatoes when i started culinary school! Fondant potatoes, duchesse potatoes and hasselbacks were our go-to garnishes hahaha
Hey chef I live in Japan can you make some more videos that don’t require an oven :( as a chef it’s my biggest hurdle to deal with living in Japan is making great meals without an oven. Btw I do have a toaster oven and I do use it! And I do make a lot of non oven style food but I love your videos they inspire me and make me hungry!! Also constraint on recipes IMHO is the greatest spice for making new dishes!

My mother makes something similar with rendered pork fat instead of butter, and added onions with the stock. Absolutely made my day every time.
