Just sub'd based on seeing your rods at the NNNs! Loved the truck, and I picked up immediately (from the stands) that it wasn't a Poly 318. The siamesed center exhaust ports gave you away! LOL! But I loved the Poly simulator valve cover trick!! She ran strong and I was impressed with it AND the chopped 440 powered sled!!! I built a 403 Olds/200-4R combo for a friend's first rat-rod, a '29 Model A Ford, then he wanted a more vintage eye-appeal powerplant, so I built him a 392 Chrysler from a '57 New Yorker. With 2x4s and 4.10 gears (8.2" 10-bolt Chevy), it runs 10s in the 1/4mi!! Also did a crossram '65 383 (from a Chry 300) for his othe rat-rod, a '41 Chevy 2-ton cab on a fabbed (by him) chassis, chopped with right-hand-drive, 8.75 Chrysler rear and a Torqueflite. Love the cars and the channel!!
Good eye!! We had 360 on the tech sheet, but most folks just see the valve covers and assume Poly lol We wanted a vintage look, but wanted something a little more street/driver friendly and the 97 360 magnum was the cheap answer at the time (used to have a 440 in the truck w/dual 4 weiand, but it was mainly on the track). Sounds like you've built some really radical stuff! We sure appreciate you subscribing! Take care!
