Not quit Friday or fencing but it had to be fixed you will have to excuse the quality of the second half as the battery for the first camera died on me .
I started my own gardening firm this year loads of stihl equipment bought the bg86 2 month ago and just had the exact same problem with mine and I usually rely on my dad or where I bought it from to fix machines. Saw your video and managed to fix it myself same problem with switch thankyou pall .👍
That's great if it happens again there switches are like £3.50 new so it's not big deal if you can not fix it nxt time. I've just ordered a new car for mine so will put a video on changing that. M
Same Blower, same issue. It showed up after one year of intense use. At first i thought it was caused because of some wire false contact, i've turned it off popping off the spark plug cap until one day it didn't start at all. Then i bought a bigger blower and serviced the BG86 and found out i've burned the ignition coil. Replaced the part and used the blower for some time until the kill switch issue showed up again. Thrown somewhere in the garage waiting to have some time to take carfe of it and ( hopefully) fix that damn switch. Thank you man, helpfull video. Owe you a six pack,.
Lol nice one if you go online the switches are dead cheap think I paid 3.50 from dealer you can just swop them out. I only took this apart as I had one on way and if it didn't work I had nothing to lose as it didn't work. You may find it when the switches get wet and I think sthil have realised this hence why they changed design and hidden them

I got the same new switch does the negative go nearest to the 1 position or to the 0 position
Is the switch to turn on n off our just to power it off.
Get br600 never had problem with mine had mine 4 years now
All u had 2 do was clean it. What an ez fix once u take it apart.
