What is especially striking here is that a song about a man wielding a scythe is turned into an epic.

That version of Mo Ghile Mear sends shivers up my spine. I've raved about this series elsewhere, so I won't carry on and on. Few things in life are perfect. The BBC Four Highland Sessions are as close to perfect as music gets. Or so it seems to me.

What a series It brought tears to my eyes. I am an Australian but love Irish and Scottish folk music. God bless you all in these troubled times.

Just found! Certainly shivers on spine stuff. Very moving. I have danced many strathspeys to the iron horse but slower! My singing friends will be hearing if these sessions.

@@mariapalmer5671 and by the way, I love your music. I learn how to singing Irish and Scottish girl music a lot. That's how I learn how to sing in Irish Gaelic because I'm proud of my ancestry. I asked my dad to get me some highland bagpipes for my birthday and I asked my grandma to get me a kilt. Is it true that people who are kilts where no underwear?
