I own this cart but its a MAC TOOLS it’s amazing! Something to note you will hardly ever use the storage in the trays. The paint holds up amazing! The stainless is awesome and actually looks better with scratches. Detents are great drawers are amazing. I roll mine with 200lbs and it’s easy to roll id never wanna put 500lbs of tools in it just because it likes to drift a lot with more weight
I do a lot of small electrical items that sometimes take a day or two so I find that pre-wiring my switches and storing them under there keeps them out of the way. But I see your point because the top has to be clear of all items before you open it.
I have the Cornwell version I scored off Craigs list for $400 in pristine condition love this cart and makes wrenching in the garage a lot more organized.

Someone said this cart goes for around $750.00, its the size and style of work cart I need as a machinist, but Craftsman has one almost identical for half that price. Its definitely nice and I like the color but there asking way to much. Check out Craftsman guys.
This cart can be found for less than $500 if you look around. Summit has it for $592 shipped and they had a sale going yesterday amd still might now on if you buy XXX amount you get $100 off. I am on the road and cannot look it up now.
$592.99 plus $119 shipping to me. Not bad Amazon is a little higher at $740 with shipping included. Not bad I have been looking for a nicer cart. I have a cheap plastic one from Black & Decker that has gotten pretty rickety over the years.

Looks really nice. How tall is it? I know you're 6'4" and it looked pretty tall next to you. That might be a problem for shorter guys if they want to use the tip as a work area. *EDIT* I found the specs: 20 x 37 x 43 inches
Specs were int he description and if you are 5' tall, it might be tall for you, but i would like it to be a few inches taller for myself, but nothing is made for a 6'4" guy.
The weights slightly overloaded the drawer. :) As far as pricing, you can find them for different prices all over the web, but Summit has all the carts listed on three pages with all the different options. I know what you are saying though.

What is the depth of the top tray with the sliders closed? In other words, will it fit tall sockets standing upright on socket rails? Thx to those who answer.

Won't work for people with tight spaces. You gotta think about the sliding top and the space it will need on both sides.
If youre working between vehicles you'll turn it anyways....
