If your a music fan you should know who the fuck that is. It’s Robert Plant. Singing John Bonham, drums. Jimmy Page guitar and John Paul Jones bass and a keyboards. If your a music fan and don’t know who that is something wrong without society. It’s like not know who Biggie or Tupac is. In fact you should be able to recognize Zeppelin even more then anybody else. Great reaction video though. Music brings people together and this video kinda proves that. Good video bud I’m a fan.

I do really enjoy though watching them discover bands like Zeppelin for the first time. As someone older than them we should be showing and suggesting some of these old school bands so they do know. Its up to us to teach those younger than us. Its something we are forgetting to do and its starting to show in our society.
Seriously! Nate I couldn't agree more, but it's not just 60's and 70's tunes..Modern rap is starting to get as formulaic as bubble gum pop boy bands. The greats gotta get reintroduced N.W.A, Public Enemy, CunninLynguists, Grandmaster Flash, Cypress Hill, etc. Good country music too. Where're our Johnny cashs, Willie Nelsons, and Dolly Partons? Country is all subtle mandolin, and blatant panderin these days.
Watching somebody fall in love with Zeppelin for the first time brings me so much nostalgic joy. To go back and hear those songs for the first time... bliss.

Michael Cherne my dad is a professional drummer who actually worked with Bonham and Moon, he said that Bonham had the gift of god and that Moon had the package of noise. In other words, he thought Moon was just noise

I'm sure your Father is correct as He is an actual musician, I feel Keith Moon personified What our perception of a True Rock Drummer is. And combine that with one of the Greatest Bands In history, I keep Moon up there.
Hey michael cherne, i like neil peart and keith moon. Both great drummers in there in own right. I love rush and the who ,awesome rock bands. But, i prefer BONHAM and ZEPPELIN . Everything is subjective , music , guitars , amps , singers every guitarist , drummer , base player and singer has something to offer. Even different styles of music in a band setting. Thank goodness for for ROCK N ROLL 😲

I still think it is unfortunate that this man has no idea that the song is rooted in African American music and that many of their songs were lifted and covered by Zep.

Great reaction! I can recommend these songs: When the Levee Breaks/Four Sticks/Moby Dick (if you want to see what John Bonham is capable of). Definitely check out Stairway to Heaven, Since I've Been Loving You, Whole Lotta Love, Achilles Last Stand for the best guitar solos (Jimmy Page is a genius). Robert Plant's vocals are just soulful and utterly amazing, John Paul Jones is basically one of the most underrated and versatile musicians in history. All the members of this group are arguably either the best or top 3 at their respective instruments. Led Zeppelin is truly the GOAT.

Led Zeppelin wasn't a supergroup on it's most strict definition, since before Zep's creation only Page was in a popular band (the Yardbirds), while Bonzo was in a slightly known band, Jones was a studio musician, and Plant was pretty much unknown.
But still, the point is across: Led Zeppelin is the most influencial band of history, and one of the best of all time.

I know bro was asking about the band and he said that Robert had some soul and he liked that. That is because Led Zep is on record saying they absolutely were influenced and incorporated the blues into their music, the same with the Stones, The Beatles etc. etc. etc. Zep had a real southern Bluesy vibe in a lot of their records, which is why AyeJay can feel that "Soul" power coming through. These guys took the beloved Blues sound and created this magic of their own, so so so beautiful.

Not only one of the greatest rock songs ever, but also a drum intro that's been sampled tons of time and used on a LOT of great hiphop tracks. Definitely a strong choice for a Zeppelin song to use as an introduction for a hiphop head
That interlude was probably the most prominent example of Plant and Page doing their... thing. :D They do that vaguely sexual back and forth with vocals and guitar a lot, it's just part of the whole Zeppelin magic, I guess I could say. And yeah, Jimmy Page is using a violin/cello bow to create those spooky sounds.

Dave Grohl is doing commentary in John Bonham documentary on TH-cam. He himself says John is greatest drummer ever. Most tend to agree, although some would argue for Keith Moon or Ginger Baker .

What we have Been enjoying for 50 years that's how old this song is and how long led zepplin has been around .i bought this album when I was 15 ..I'm 63 now ..welcome brother ..
As a long time Zep fan, love your reaction. Bonzo is considered one of, if not THE, greatest rock drummers of all time. Bill Ward and John Bonham were friends (and Bonham was close friends with Black Sabbath guitarist, Tony Iommi). Your reaction to all of it, singer, guitarist, drums, highlights why Zep is one of the greatest bands of all time. They had it all. Don't forget John Paul Jones is one of the great rock bassists and multi-instrumentalists. One of the most sampled drum parts is on Led Zep IV, When The Levee Breaks. Listen to that and you will probably recognize it. The song Dazed and Confused was actually stolen from Jake Holmes (they didn't give proper credit) but LZ is the reason why it is famous- the famous guitar riff is all Jimmy Page (not from the JH version), and then Plant's amazing vocals and amazing drums and bass bring it to life in a way never done before. Jimmy Page used to play this with the Yardbirds before he started Led Zeppelin, but the YB version sucks by comparison. If you like what you have heard, one of the greatest things with Led Zeppelin is to listen to each of their albums in order, one by one, to hear their evolution as a band. They have a tremendous breadth of variety and styles that few bands can equal.

Hillary's emails to Lorne I heard him play Mandolin on a tv show. And he was virtuosic. He played all his instruments that well. The unsung hero of Led Zeppelin.

My good brother, i love your reaction but this is not the best example of John Bonham's talent as a drummer. I am an old professional drummer from those days. I've played all of those songs in my career. Listen to Black Dog, The Ocean, Whole Lotta Love, Heartbreaker,Rock 'n Roll,When the Levee Breaks,thx Eric, Ramble On etc,etc,etc. I have alot more history for you. I remember exactly where i was the first time i heard Zepp on the radio. It was the song Good Times, Bad Times. I was there. I was a young drummer and hearing Bonham changed my whole concept of being a drummer. Please don't call him John B. Some people nicknamed him Bonzo,but he is the one and only John Bonham. Pronounced, John Bonnum,may he rest in peace. He died way to young. Thank you for educating young people about real music. We will never hear another band like them. Bonham was one of the best natural drummers in music history. Right there with Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich. I just had this thought while editing my comment. I was visiting a friend of mine at work and noticed Zepllin 1, in,what I believed to be a discount rack.. The cover drew me too it. I asked if he knew of them/this? No he said, but someone overheard and said its good. So I got it, no clue. Put it on the stereo, slightly tuned in 😁. My mind was blown. Most of it remains back in my apt in Chatsworth CA. Next 100 listens were with headphones only. I was 19 back then, 70, in October. I hear ya

Keep in mind Bonham did this all on a FOUR PEICE SET. Nothing fancy. No big sets, double bases, just a straight forward four piece set.

But, if u are a big fan of classic rock and generally 60s-80s rock, and if u properly understand this type of music, you will HAVE to agree with me that these types of songs follow a structure, tell a story, transmit emotions. This is why the rhytm, tone and intencity are not the same throughout the song. Now tell me, how can you have a proper reaction and opinion about something, when you do not understand it and listen to it the way it was intended to, when that fcking genius of Jimmy Page created it (people will correct me here with the whole Jake Holmes story but the credit for this version goes to page, initial 3 mins version of Holmes was an inspiration)
I appreciate the video and I think it is quite funny. But it is not a Led Zeppelin reaction it is a reaction to individual cool sounding bits of Led Zeppelin Dazed and Confused. The song is 6 minutes long, I believe no one would forget his thoughts in 6 mins. But again, the the actual thoughts of the song should come after the song is done and fully understood, otherwise it's just little breaks of the song where you say oh this beat is cool, these lyrics are cool, this first 1 minute of the solo is good, oh yeah actually second minute is cool too, oh wait the whole solo is cool.
So, imo, your idea that a reaction to a song has to be interrupted is wrong, or applicable only to 90% of 00s pop music.

@@fasteddie777666 The only reason why Bonham was a profesional for only 12 years and Peart still is is because Bonham died at age 33 at the highest peak of his creativity.
Peart is great, but comparing him with Bonham with just that is useless and almost stupid.
Influenced by Buddy Rich (as well as other great drummers of the time like Ian Paice), Bonham was pretty much the Hendrix of drums, being very creative and incredibly versatile, so his contribution to rock music was and still is invaluable.
Peart is a legendary prog rock drummer, influenced by Keith Moon, with amazing writing and composing skills, setting new lines in prog as soon as Rush popped-up in the map.
But for me and many, Bonham is still the best for his creativity and amazing contributions.

Someone said this is a new band and their first album, Led Zeppelin. Went down the rabbit hole and never came up. Drenched my DNA permanently. So love when seeing someone discovering this (what seems like now eternal) art. Rock On!

albums by the time Led Zep 1 was released so they were contemporaries.
Ian Paice set a new standard on those discs although it was
the live stuff that showcased him.

With Bonham for me it was groove, aggression, power, sound and
lovely combos between his hands and feet.
I like both drummers but neither of them could hold a candle
to Buddy Rich as you put it Bonham said as much interview and B Rich is Paicy’s
favourite drummer.
BR was doing these type hands feet combos a decade before
these guys had reach teens.

I recommend the Zeppelin song 'When The Levee Breaks' (imagine a powerful rock version of a hip-hop style beat, it's one of the most sampled drum beats in music!) and also 'Black Dog', 'Whole Lotta Love', 'In My Time of Dying' and 'Kashmir'. And 'Moby Dick' if you really wanna see what John Bonham (yes you said his last name right) is capable of! Only thing to watch out for is copyright strikes/blocking for Zeppelin content, which might mean editing the songs during your Zep reactions or posting them on Vimeo (with a TH-cam link to the Vimeo Zep reaction).
