    Superb. A warship originally built here in Northern England. ✌️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇺🇸

    11:05 It’s an arm with rope ladders attached that swung outward for when tenders were moored alongside the ship to allow easy boarding for crew members .Magnificent build !

      Ain't those for extending torpedo nets?

    • @GraveKommander
      @GraveKommander 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BarcelPL The torpedo nets you mean were used during ww1, but soon retired cause of the massive danger of getting damaged nets (metal!) in the screws and also loosing allmost all of their protection when the ships goes faster. Torpedo nets were used later, but only on moored ships and as far i know with some distance and not directly on ship mounted.
      Also ship mounted torpedo nets arms were all along the ship, not only on two spots. You can see them on the early pictures (pre 1927 on wikipedia) of Kongo.

      The arm is called a "Derrick" that swings out,the ladders are called "Jacob's" Ladders and the lines are called "Lizard Line's".They used to attach small boats,the Lizard Line's keep the small boats attached in a position so people can get in and out of the boats

    I'd encase that thing in a custom glass case so no threat of dust could ever touch that masterpiece. Amazing work!

      Thanks, It's definitely crossed my mind. It's so fragile I feel like I can break this just by looking at it

    WOW! I didn't realize how tiny it was until you put the paint bottle next to it. Nice work!

    I love watching these videos, but I don’t think I would ever attempt something with this much photo etch at that scale. Beautiful job! Thanks for sharing.

    Four months absolutely well spent.....what an amazing job and in such a small scale as well. How you dealt with the myriad number of miniscule PE is gob-smackingly incredible. Thanks for sharing so will be checking out to see what next you have in store.

    I'm really impressed with your amazing finished build. Remember the longer the struggle getting there the more satisfying is the result ! Looking forward to your second 1/700 scale Ship ⚓😄👍🇦🇺

    Great build. In about 30 years you'll have finished all of the capital ships of the IJN. Look forward to that project coming to fruition🙂

    You did an absolutely amazing job on this build! I have never seen so much PE on a single model, and I thought I had a lot on my AH-64 I recently finished LOL. Also that was a very nice touch putting the flag decal on foil to make it wavy.

    excellent work! you are not only an artist but you are also gifted with incredible patience 👍
    personally only the idea of using photoetched parts or resin parts, with all the madness that is needed to use them, makes me want to give up the hobby of building models 😱
