I loved Kamen Rider Drive, it's my second fave after W, with Chase being one of my fave riders on the show. I loved how he went from a fallen hero, a reaper for the villain till finally a hero reborn.
One of the best shows in the series, and it all stars a guy who doesn't know where the spare tire is supposed to go on the car. Not on your upper torso.
Feels like a missed opportunity they didn't have Top Gear do a review on the Tridoron. Tonight, James gets Rider Kicked. Richard gets arrested by an attractive woman. And I get turned into a Roidmude.

They've done the "monsters are another race" thing before but here they're a fledgling race just making it in the world, confined to their 107, each having to rely on others of their kind and their parasitic nature to survive. Heart is so charismatic but he's also intimidating. A powerful big bad for the show to have.
"Start your Engine"! What I like about Kamen Rider Drive is Go and Chase. Seeing Go character get so much development from being hating Roidmude than being best bud and romance man. Chase of being first prototypes Drive to Roidmude that want to kill Drive than become third Rider and sacrifice for buddy Go. Who want cute and strong woman like Kirito 🥰💪

It's taxpayer-funded subbing, basically. Because of that, it's limited and imperfect, though still far better than nothing. Originally the idea was that they would accept fansubs for the rest of the episodes... and then TH-cam removed that capability not long after Toei started doing this. People seem to think it's Toei who decided to stop that, but it's TH-cam who outright removed the functionality from their platform. As for licensing, it's not as simple as just buying the rights back. Toei would need to terminate the license legally, most likely by letting it run out, though I'm not entirely sure how Power Rangers impacts the Sentai license. Finally, as for the demand in the west, it's very miniscule outside of Japan. It's not really worth Toei's time. Look at the excerpt they add at the bottom of each (subtitled) upload: "This video's subtitle is subsidized by J-LOD funding from The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan." This tells you who has funded these and why. Unfortunately, it's not just because some of us in the west like their stuff.
I do think there’s a demand for Sentai and KR, as MillCreek entertainment has been getting Ultraman out for a while now, and they show no signs of stopping anytime soon. Besides, fansubbing evidently bothered Toei so much they effectively killed TVN’s work. Why not pay the fan sub community to sub it all, I’m sure there’s folks that would love to do it even on a volunteer basis if only to see themselves credited for it.
So then anime, manga, K and J dramas and historical series must be for niche audiences as well, despite the demand for it, despite it being on Netflix, Amazon and manga outselling western comics.

For those seeing this The guy playing Kiryu In Like a Dragon Amazon show is Kamen rider Drive.
Watching early episodes of Heisei Rider makes me want to see a Reiwa season with only one Rider, not secondary or evil ones just the main guy.
They won't, the story will be more focused but the company will broke because they can't sell more variety of toys..
