What a sweet sweet natured woman. On one hand the trauma and tragedy she LIVED through could have left her a bitter and ugly natured woman but her disposition was so endearing. A Lovely smile and laugh, a magnificent ability to tell a story and even laugh at the irony of life even when it was beyond comprehension. So thankful to Lili and her family for participating in the Shoah Project , these testimonies can NEVER be replaced ! Each one unique , and yet corroborating the horrors of one of the darkest chapters of human history. Thank you again.

I went to grade school with Becky Fuchs, she had a congenital heart defect and this was in the 1960's when open heart surgeries were far and few between- she had a double row of teeth which is common with certain genetic heart problems- kids picked on her- I protected her- I realized later she was Jewish- she passed away that year- my poor little Becky- for some reason seeing this ladies last name it triggered a memory-

Heartbreaking that she still dreams about saving her younger siblings who were killed. It was impossible for her to save them at that time and she wants so badly for it to be otherwise. Impressive that she put so much effort and time into receiving her master's degree. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren.

I didn't like what she said about the gypsies. That was HER town towards the end of the WW2. They were wiped out early on in the rest of Eastern Europe. Her comment was insensitive and silly.

Hitler lost, and there is life after death! So he lost because he will go to hell!! God is what's important!! I'm a Christian and totally agree about being loyal to Israel and to our God, the God of Abraham and Isaac! Yeshua is Jewish! Beautiful familia!!
What is a neveho? She keeps referring to hersel at 2:31: aprox that she's a Navajo or nevejo?
That's interesting about her daughter remembering- I woke up once at home looked out of my window and bombs were dropping and total destruction was before my eyes. And every time I eat certain things I have weird flashbacks-.i can't explain- I was born right AFTER the war- so there's no reason this should be-

So… it wasn’t good that nice , loving Swedish families took these orphans in? Better they should have NO FAMILY AT ALL?

Kids not being religious does not eliminate the history of what their progenitors have experienced (and they are def still Jewish if they believe still)- that'll always be part of their identity.

Sorry don’t agree with yr attitude regarding non Jews adopting young girls religion is a personal thing within ourselves....not the people we interact with or marry. What happen during World War Two is unforgivable.....but ignorance of some idiot amounted to all that happen.

German gypsies were targeted (just like German gays, Jehovah Witnesses et al) as they damaged the 'purity' of the Aryan race (mostly only applied to German regions of Europe though (Austria, Alsace-Lorraine etc.)- not a Slavic country like Slovakia).

Thanks God that the children are not religious, having their own life and choice. I got disappointed at the end
