Just look back at act 1 of Fontaine archon quest and how she jumped the gun to put the blame on Lyney, which she did not have to do whatsoever. Instead of sitting silently and watching the trial unfold, she immedietly blamed Lyney of being the prime suspect because she really is a drama queen.

To be honest, Furina is not special among archons, so traveler and Paimon are just treating her like how they treat any other archon. I think people are just on the 4-2 hype train right now so they overprotect Furina like a glass statue. But Furina just want to be a human. And hey, this is also a part of being a normal human. I think people should calm down and stop being offended so easily.

Seriously, who the hell wrote this mission? It's a good mission, but Paimon's attitude is dog shit. Yes, Paimon wasn't with us when we saw Furina's past where she explains how she lived for 500 years, but still, she knows it thanks to the talk we had with Neuvillette in the end of archond quest.
And yes, the traveler was also rude at the beginning of the story, and during the trial, but in the trial he had to do it, because it was part of the plan and in the mission the traveler has a more understanding attitude towards Furina and he really wants to support her, but Paimon is there...

I like this quest precisely because there's a difference of opinion between Traveler and Paimon and we can recognize there's 3 people, not just 2. Plus it's fun seeing Paimon possibly represent part of the players that want to poke fun at Furina for all the trouble she put us through: Furina tried to put us on trial in the 4.0 AQ and called Paimon a flying object.

Probably thought Lyney's trial was the trial to end all trials. She stayed up all night researching everything for it, so she must have been disappointed to find out that even the serial killing case wasn't the final trial.

Remember how Furina said she had informants all over Teyvat, how she was instantly notified of us visiting Fontaine, and she was readily there to not only meet us but also convict us of a crime? *That all happened because she assumed that by putting the ‘World Renowned’ Traveler in a trial against herself, it would become the “Trial to end all trails” that Focalor spoke of.* Thus, averting the prophecy and finally freeing herself from her suffering.

Neuvillete is one that Furina trusts a lot. But in this version she’s currently at the stage of healing
I run her with my Nilou and imagine they would be best friends. As another Hydro into Dance and performance, Nilou would be the perfect person to cuddle her and make her feel appreciate dwhile also sharing her love for the arts. Its kinda funny cuz i have her weapon on Nilou and it LITERALLY looks like her SIg, and works perfectly with her + Furina. Its uncanny ...or not.
Paimons behaviour has been a lil bulshit since sumeru...
It was MUCH better in Sumeru, they probably have different writers for each story so there's some inconsistencies with the personalities of the Traveler and Paimon, sometimes they are really nice and other times kinda insensitive.
Also monthly deadline, that the script need to be recorded, translated into several language, and all got released at the same time.
I liked how alhaitham called out paimon or made fun of her in sumeru

i like the old paimon, because the voice and his behavior is perfect. not as annoying as it is now.
In this quest the Traveler acts like they don't want Furina to isolate herself, since that's definitely not the right thing to do in her situation, even if she just wants to rest, but Paimon is just being tone-deaf. Though honestly, the thing she said about Furina being unable to cook sounded more like she was responding to the fact Furina seemed to try to avoid saying she can't cook.
I think that the Traveler had a good idea. Just because you want to be by yourself, doesn’t mean that you should suffer alone.
I don't think Furina was necessarily wrong, though. Sometimes, when people are down, they need time to themselves. Assuming what someone needs is company all the time is wrong.
I think Furina should have been given time, and allowed to go at her own pace. Not forced into another performance after she's finally free from a 500 year long act.

Btw, not many mentioning this, but when we move to Poisson in this quest, it was rebuilt, so definitely some time passed, and imagine, that you have a friend, who retired from work, he is young and talented, you have not seen him more than a month and you return and find him siting in a closet, self-pitying and eating makaroni everyday, comforting himself that changing the souse on makaroni make them different.... I would be mad at him.

The girl just had her entire life flipped upside down. The prophecy is happening and us powerless to stop it, her entire nation betrays her when we call her out as being a fraud and now she has literally nothing left. She was forced to play an agonizing long and lonely role for the safety of her people so her divinity can execute her plan to save everyone but also keeping her in the dark about the whole thing. Furina needs a long and heartwarming hug and someone to say to her "you did great".
To be fair at least Furina can cook and she is learning unlike a certain Archon on the other side of the world

Paimon is pretty much always rude to all the characters she met, like Venti and Cloud Retainer, I don’t like how she always call Venti the tone deaf bard, that’s really disrespectful. She was also being blunt and insensitive when other people talk about stuffs that are sensitive to them, like when talking to Xiao, Shenhe and Diluc (I think that might be one reason why Xiao and Shenhe are far more closer with the Traveler). Find it funny how almost all the characters in Sumeru can be harsh towards her (like Alhaitham and Wanderer finding her annoying).
Because she's annoying. I would rather be deaf in Traveller's place than listening her high pitched mumbling all the time.

Bruh, really Paimon? This is the one of the reasons why Traveler would be a better MC if they were alone from the start (Hence why I think Trailblazer is just a better version of Traveler). After the archon quest I was hoping Furina's story quest was for us more on comforting Furina, I mean we(Traveler) basically watched Furina's 500 years of suffering

I think people misunderstood Paimon here, Paimon don't gets to see her real personality so she's doesn't know about. Saying Neuvilette told everything doesn't make her rewatch the whole fucking scene like us. Neuvilette wouldn't said "Furina have different personality, she just acting" but instead, "Furina had to act as the Hydro Archon"
I know what Furina might gone through even before the quest, but when the quest happened, i fucking crying out loud. But if someone just told me, i just feel bad but that's all. That's what happened to Paimon.
Even then, Paimon don't want to treat her differently or to see her down, so she just tease her like usual. The reason we feel more irritated than others because we already connected with Furina, witnessing her lowest in the past 500 years.

Ngl after the archon quest, I kinda wanted Furina to be a bit sassy to the traveler after getting betrayed to expose herself as a false archon.

I'm pretty sure it's issue on culture difference, some might says Chinese community is hating on it too. Well yes but I would say 95% of them were hating on traveler's 'What's wrong with making one exception' dialogue selection, and I think I haven't seen any of them hating towards Paimon.
This drama brought me a lot confusion at first actually. I didn't find any issue at all throughout the quest, then i jump into BiliBili hope to find people's postive comments, but then it found lot of comments hating on traveler, so then I came to english community as I knew English community don't usually thinks like CN's. It's true I did not find much hating towards traveler but Paimon, and saying she's rude which I can't understand at all as a Mandarin speaker. It really brought me like thousands of question marks at first.
Probably the Translation teams of each language should have conversations next time, changing the sentences can be good sometimes
I guess its probably since paimon is already assumed to be rude and unlikeable by default, no one really bats an eye when it happens. However traveler joining in it was seen as more uncharacteristic of them, which is why people called them out more forcefully

The writers are low-key doing the MC dirty 💀 we're legit playing as the MC itself and we can't even have an option or a scene of where we actually comfort Furina and apologize to her after what happened. Hopefully we get another story quest where we can apologize at least.

The fact that the Traveller was joining in as well (inderectly and very superficial, he/she was pulling strings as well other than adding fuel to the fire) made me even more angry and dissatisfied :(

It's obvious they didn't think this quest through. They probably wanted an excuse to put out La Vaguelette ASAP, but didn't consider that maybe a person needs more than a field trip to recover from a 500-year old trauma. They should've made it a plot point that Paimon didn't get the memo.

What surprises me is that we can't even get to meet her after the archon quest. A simple sorry or a confrontation during all of that thing happened during the trial is heavy to someone mental health and somehow she is able to cope to this quest still astonishes me

I think this is nonsense but want to put it here, Sometimes I think the reason paimon being rude here is because she subconsciously get mad for being deceived by focalor (paimon being the sustainer of HP). It doesn’t make sense that they put this kind of dialog to paimon so I think there must be a reason??? Again this is nonsense 😂😂. Anyway, I hated paimon and the traveller here in Furina’s story quest they are so rude and they didn’t respect her boundaries and guilt tripping her.

whwy people hates paimon? this quest is gonna be a boring one without paimon being savage and annoying brat. all of her lines are funny as heck and the way furina notice makes them even funnier. honestly, MC and paimon be too nice all that is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cliche. they should at least has some attitude.

Furina's story quest really made me pissed off at the Traveler and Paimon. Throughout the whole quest it was all about boundaries and the Traveler and Paimon crossed those multiple times. They basically gaslit Furina into having a guilt trip and Furina, feeling sorry for people despite all that she had gone through and again putting others' needs before hers, decided to help. Furina even asked for consent and no compensation. Something the Traveler and Paimon should learn from.
...They even crossed the boundaries of personal space by just grabbing Furina.
