Victor, we have never used a Line 6 Firehawk fx. However, Aaron used an AC30 type amp with the high end rolled off a little bit and the gain set right to threshold of breakup. The delay is a stereo dual delay with quarters and dotted eighths. Reverb is just a light room setting. Aaron, you are very competent, and this is a good lesson. Your use of numbers is spot on. However, what's up with casting this song in the key of C sharp? Have you never heard of its enharmonic equivalent, the key of D flat? E sharp, really?? How about D flat as the tonic and F as the 3rd? IMO, there is never a need to think in the key of C sharp. Seven sharps, one for every diatonic note. What a nightmare! (BTW, it's not just me. A quick check of praisecharts.com and songselect shows both of them have the original key charts in the key of D flat, not C sharp.)
A lot of guitarists think in sharp keys rather than flat keys when it comes to shapes. Most guitarists would prefer the key of B (5 sharps) rather than even the key of F (1 flat). It's total preference. Most of guitar playing is built upon shapes anyways. It doesn't matter what key signature you're referring to, you just move the shapes around accordingly.
Sorry, that is approximate but is not the real part, you need dotted 1/8 delay/ a good recerb and check your hammer ons. Listen closely the multitrack.com rehearsal track and you can get the right rhythm. It will help you.

You're right though, you can achieve the same sound with the right repeats and not have too pick as fast. However, I've seen the Helser's play this live twice. It's not just the repeats you hear. The strum pattern is straight 16ths. You can do an up/down picking pattern rather than straight downs (like I did) which makes it feel less fast. Also, if you have 2 guitarists, one can just play the 16ths on the root C# and the other can just hit on the suspensions with the delay trails.
I was gonna say “what about the delay?” But the issue I have been getting is the feedback portion of the delay, the way Bethel does it, it’s seems the delay has a HUGE tail, I want to nail that because my delay pedal can really get up there with the ms.

If you already have an amp, find a good delay and reverb. If you need something all in one with amp modeling, I recommend the HX Stomp.
