In America's Cup the faster boat wins, but the best sailors can make the difference as well. Last Cup Ineos and AM looked fantastic and LR looked okaish but then LR came out victorious not even having the faster boat, the faster boat was AM for sure but on a straight line only, their maneuverability and the way they sailed their boat was not so good in the end. You can try to guess as much as you want but I am sure that we are going to get some suprisises come August
It would be REAL NICE for the video photographers to give us a new view for insight, like a drone of some photos from above. This could give us some intriguing viewpoints on how the boats are doing. Just saying, :)
@@NZbluesky the full lineup and dates are on the AC Web page so you can see who races who each day. Basically in the round Robins each boat races each of the others twice. Top 4 moving to semis, winners to final to see who goes against ETNZ
Do the sailors recognise when other teams try to pull off new turns or operate new tactics? Which team looks the most ready to go? Of the 5 boats on the water today who had the best screw up? I have sooo many more questions. This is a very interesting period before the big dog turns up. These guys better get better or TNZ gonna eat their lunch.
No la finale sarà tra Alinghi e Luna Rossa dove quest'ultima gareggerà contro team New Zeland.
the english are (judging from what we have seen so far) seems the less stable on flight they are constantly going up and down.. LR and AM are the more stable boats on flight.. May be that these two are more easy to control? Can't wait to see the kiwis...
It's laughable how guys try not to say anything except what is obvious. Interview basically is interviewer telling what he has seen happening. Anything else is "Can't say" 😅
Yeah it's very annoying, every sailor sees the other boats sailing everyday but for some reason "it's very hard to tell" who's faster. The interviewer asks everytime but he knows already he's not gonna get any answer. Lame
I think it will be closer than you think performance wise this is basically the third iteration of these boats if you take into account what they will have incorporated from the AC40s so advances in handling and speed will be incremental sailing ability reliability and more than your fair share of luck is going to be a big factor imo.
It's too funny to read the comments of people who, just by watching some videos, have established the fastest boat, the most stable etc. 🤔 The crews of the teams still don't know, "our" TH-cam experts instead already know everything; why you're here? You should be working on board to tell what needs to be made, what needs to change. 😎😄

Have you watched those old races lately? Boring as fxck. If you didn't know - the tactics are exactly the same but much faster to occur, the only real difference is the covering angles are similar upwind and downwind, with the wind shadow more narrow and basically straight behind rather than old school 45° cover upwind, 270° downwind.
I cant wait to see these guys in a month and a half
Ineos looking very good... Powerful!

I vaguely remember drone or Arial view is disallowed in the rules
@@roderick167 I recall something to that effect as well.
The teams have drones that they use strictly for just their boat. But are we saying news teams can't use drones or other flying craft?
It is not permitted from the AC Recon team, but we have drone footage on our channels! 👀🪄
@@AmericanMagic Thank you for confirming it. Fanatastic yacht, BTW.
All great boats and crews, viva AC competition.
All the boats look amazing, but anecdotally American Magic looks like it is fastest in a straight line.
Wow, you can see that here on youtube?
👀
LR is very consistent... that's the key to win the Old Mug.
Ineos looks fantastic!
Yer a Xmas decoration.
Like a flaccid gentleman sausage
Ineos looks like a floppy sausage
Wow, at 16:23, you can see the spreader swinging forward and back. I definitely don't know anything but that does not look good to me.
Magic look faaastt
Fabulous! Is there a draw chart ? Or do all 5 teams line up in the box?

The reporter's volume in the second interview was too low.
Orient Express is flying closest to the water.
Via, mi sbilancio, LR vs AM in finale di LV Cup😅

When do they start sailing for the cup
august i think
22-29 August is the preliminary Regata then onto the Luis Vuitton Round Robins.
What would be the faster, an AC75 or a sail GP

The cup starts October I think Prada and American magic will b in the final with American magic racing against team nz for the America's cup
That is my guess too. The American boat looks slippery.
Good call . AM is looking very good as is LR

Damn, some of these questions are terrible. Can't you guys find someone who can do an entertaining interview?
Running out of interesting things to talk about I think. 😅
I don't like the Rule that the boats can't line up, just let them get it on if they want to, the challengers should have some advantages too 🤙
That's why it's the Americas Cup... Winner makes the rules and they will always favour the defender...
Would make this extended period most interesting for sure.
During last days AM had best achievements in terms of stability

I wonder if that's because their rudder is providing downforce?
