A location I've wanted to visit for a long while & have tried several times but to day it all seemed to come together , not perfect but hey , perfect would be boring...wouldn't it 😊
It's a good job I don't mind a bit of mud, boy was it goopy, really glad I bought those waders !
At 1st glance this area looks to be really easy to photograph & I guess it varies daily with different tide heights but I found it a little over whelming .There was a fairly large NISI meet taking place as well which added to the chaos of the scene before me , another challenge for the evening
I got stuck in, literally at times, reminded myself to slow down & just look around, try to separate little sections of the area & look within those sections to find compositions . Eventually I found my bearings & the composition I'd been hunting for so it was just a case of waiting for some sunset color to follow the wonderfully warm evening light .
Again, this is a location I shall return to , several times I expect 👍

Really liked the earlier boat shot with the anchor leading you in (3:18) but the others with the reflection and sunset are darn good, great spot, see why it's popular Lynne, thanks for sharing
Thanks Trevor ...this us why photography is such fun ....everyone has their own idea as to what works . For me, that image is the weakest of the ones posted so it's lovely to hear that someone likes it 😊👍

I loved that place. Just felt great. I do like the boat and beach shots anyway , but you took some stunners here. The chain for leading line and the blue in the boats went so well with the colour of the sky, I thought. Nice reflections also. ALL VERY NICE! That sunset was looking promising at the end. I know you don't like silhouettes but was wondering how that would have looked, Quite nice I think? Lovely shots and nice atmosphere. You definitely need waders there though.!! x
Cheers Gary , twas a hugely entertaining evening with virtually everyone at some point getting stuck in the mud 😂 I really should learn to love silhouettes but I just can't, I like to see detail ,sorry 😪

Lol...the advantage of a being a wuss is I take extreme care ...plus I really didn't fancy the idea of having to call the life guard out yo pull me outta that goopy stuff 😂

I really like your first set of images the best. They move me. Especially the first one, which composed exactly as I imagined. I wanted to see the distance boat off to the left for balance and interest. Perfect. And the colors. Perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Although I'd like to comment on the images Lynne, what struck me more about this was how much extra effort is required to vlog at the same time as producing great work! And I'm not saying that because of the nisi meet being there at the same time, the mud/sand there is really gloopy so full marks to you.
Yes, definitely one of the more challenging locations Alan😲 Next time I'll take my other bag to make life easier ! Certainly a worthwhile evening though & a location I shall be revisiting......several times probably 😊😊
B roll is over rated - I often skip through some people's vids when there's so much of it. Wonder what others think... Loving the boat shots, very inspiring!
It's a fine balancing act Phil ,b roll helps to show more of the location but it can be over done ( I've been guilty of this at times) .Hopefully I've got the balance about right 😊

Wonderful compositions Lynn. I really loved that golden light on the boat. Maybe it's just me, but the images looked a tad too saturated to me.
I have a sneaky suspicion you could be right Gurunath ....I may have got a tad heavy heavy handed with the saturation slider on a couple 😲

Parking pretty much anywhere on the Wirral coast is very easy Paul , the council's seem intent on attracting visitors which is great 👍

I think your photography shows people the should work with what gear they have, and not get hung up on going FF.
I bought the 7200 on the strenght of your videos, if it good enough for you its plenty good enough for me.
I think your right David , a FF camera is ,imo, useful if you're shooting portraiture or weddings or printing images to very large sizes, for the rest of us a crop sensor is more than adequate. Hope you're getting on with yours ok 👍 Mine is still far more capable than I am 😊

Been itching to watch this all day and must say Lynne this was worth the wait. The image at 9 minutes was super and loved how the light hit the whole scene. Have few days in the Cotswald this week with a weekend on the Flyde coast next weekend, so all being well will be out and about.
Looking to invest more time in my photography as at the time of writing this post, I am just under 4 hours from retiring from the Fire and Rescue Service which is both scary and exciting at the same time, so inspirational content like this really ignites the burners to get out more. Another fantastic episode and loving this series so far
Congrats on Retirement Jim, I can imagine it's a bit of a double edged sword but you'll soon wonder how you had the time to work 😲
Cotsworlds & Fylde coast are pretty diverse, can't think of a finer way to start your retirement 👍👍😊

I subscribed purely for your shear perseverance the images were absolutely great and I want to do some boat photography ended up walking away because of the mud here in Shoreham
some cracking images there, can i be nosey and ask where it is, is it just along from the sea defence thingwys, and if so are the two places doable at the same kinda tide.
Hi Cha, yup, it's on the same coast about 40 mins away. I'm guessing you could do the pair in the same day depending on tide times .BUT please please please be very careful here,make sure you're not alone there as that quick sand can be lethal 👍

So this week I was out shooting waterfalls when I had the notification of your vlog and then on way home we went to Tesco and after editing I finally got round to watching it. I would've loved to have seen you send the drone out before you started shooting looks a great area tho loved the shots LJ .

What a wonderful evening producing some great images Lynne. Your last one was especially good. Really liked how some of the blues on the boat matched the hues in the sky. Must have been a bit frustrating at times with all of those people around?
