    Great video. What's the track id?

    HPF + BPF at 15% boosts the kick of your track, thus hindering a loss in energy if the second track has a more quiet kick.

      Hello King of Fortress,
      Thanks for the message.
      Please ensure that you have the’ RES’ control set flat (12 o’clock). This will ensure that the roll-off on the Cut-off/centre frequency is not adding any resonant gain.
      Kind regards,
      Luke

    Why you of circuit is in crunch knob ?

    Thanks mate - didn’t know you could ores multiple band in the filter select :)
    And yes I leave the filter on the whole time w 60% resonance on hi pass w the lnob all the way counter clock wise - it gives a lil extra sub harmonic

    Can the dynamical movements of the VCFs be controlled automatically, e.g. from an external LFO?

    When I engage the filters to channels A and B, and these are set to Mic Input, the filter does not affect the sound. It does affect the sound when these channels are assigned to another input (such as return). Is this supposed to be the case? In other words, is there a reason why it is not possible to apply a filter directly to a microphone (regardless of whether it's Mic A or B)? Or do I have a defect unit?

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi,
      By default, the Mic input is on a clean feed, this means that the Mic signal only passes to the Main LR output, and not the booth or record out. This clean feed also bypasses the channel filter routing. However, with the clean feed disabled, the Mic signal can be routed to the filters.
      FYI, there are internal jumper configurations to turn on and off the clean feed. For further information, please drop us a line at support@allen-heath.com
      Best regards,
      Luke

    @Xonedjofficial I once heard you shouldn't leave the filter turned on all the time on the 92 because even with the lowest "Freq" setting the very lowest low end will still be cut. I recently got a 96 and I feel like I hear a slight difference between filter off and (high pass) filter on with freq and res set to minimum. However SpinnZinn just suggested leaving the filter on all the time in the video, so does it actually not affect the sound after all?

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Hello TheKrooky,
      Thanks for the message.
      I’m not sure it was explicitly suggested by Alex to leave the filters on. It was more of a question fired directly to end users, as to how they use their setup and was merely trying to encourage any debate and valuable feedback.
      To answer your question, we need to look at a couple of factors. Firstly, the Xone:92 filter sweep works down to 30Hz, whereas the 96 was revised to work down to 20Hz.
      Typically, 20Hz is at the lower limit of human threshold, plus the 96 is rated to operate between 20Hz-30kHz. If you feel that you can hear anything in this sub range, then by all means, please feel free to switch off the filter circuit, as the second thing we revised when designing the 96 was the switching circuit when engaging the filter. It was taken task to minimise any audible artefacts that would normally be an inherent factor when switching within analogue circuitry. We have achieved this and you can now switch in an out the filter whenever you desire.
      Finally, when the filter is on, to achieve an output from the filter that’s closest to a ‘flat’ (unaffected) signal output, RES should be set to the 12o’clock position, not MILD. This, due to the nature of the filter’s output - again by design and to be anticipated. It’s both completely normal, and fine.
      I hope this helps and you can start to enjoy using your mixer to its full potential.
      Kind regards,
      Luke

    BTW im saving up and trying to decide which one, the 96 or MODEL 1. It seems the MODEL 1 allows to leave in unique filter setup for each track, whereas the 96 is limited to just filtering either each one individually at a time, or adding them together, is that correct?

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Alejandro,
      It is not possible to cue the filter signal as this feature works post-fade, whereas, the cue bus is a pre-fade listen (PFL).
      Kind regards,
      Luke

    You should put option for both filter on each channel, that way you have more freedom to manipulate low frequency with HP filter, of the track which is already assigned on LP filter

    Hey - quick question for you. I’ve had my 96 for around a year and all of a sudden whilst playing the channel levels significantly reduced and all became distorted. Since this occurred my filters regularly make a popping sound when engaging. This happens with both filters. I’ve recently moved to 4 deck mixing with Traktor so I don’t know if this has caused it / shown up an underlying issue with the unit. Any ideas what this could be? I also sometimes get a crackling sound when using the gains knobs. Thanks!

    my xone 96 has a noticeable bass drop when the filter is turned on but the knob still in the off position.... which leads me to have to turn it on and off each time i use it or the mix will lose alot of energy :( already send it back to the dealer but they say they dont hear any difference while the spectrum analyzer in ableton clearly shows a big drop. is there anyway this could be fixed with a firmware update? running v.1.0.2.
    hope you can help me otherwise i will have to sell it and use my xone 4d again :(
    otherwise it is a fantastic mixer and the sound quality is far superior over anything else i have used !

    I bought a new xone 96 couple of weeks ago , unfortunately i have some issues. When i turn the on/off filter knobs i hear a clicking/pop sound off the speakers or my headphones 🤔🥺 is this normal? It feels not good for me.
    I checked the latency things , i checked it also only with a line output. It doesn't matters.
    I think there is something wrong with some components inside.
    I understand this is a analog circuit offcourse but in my opinion this should not happen.
    Please can anyone help me..?

    I have a 92 and can’t leave the filter always switched on (I primarily use HP but not always)... if filter is switched on even at its lowest freq (30hz) on some subs u feel some bass roll off. Wish it was 20hz so I could leave on and then roll off some Low when needed
