if your using firefox you can translate the entire page on amazon japan into English. I knew this series had subtitles because it was already confirmed on CDjapan and Anime Newsnetwork. Amazon sometimes don't provide the correct information.

That's what I heard as well. But the quality is properly so minor you might not even notice the difference if there were more episodes on the discs. I would of wait as well but I know Viz will most likely give this a very simple release. aka 2 dvd or blu-ray cases
I'm glad I waited to buy all 8 volumes - the Dollar has been up against the Yen for the last few weeks. What is nice is that with streaming of shows and the US + JP in the same region, JP companies can include English Subtitles to sell more imports. It was cool that all 8 volumes had Music CDs of various content. Check out the Macross Plus BD Boxset.
As far as I know Viz only has the streaming rights to Accel World. I heard they are dubbing the series for Neon Alley so most likely we'll see a home video release based on how well the streaming goes. Packaging will most likely be 2 regular blu-ray cases as you mention. I think I'll stick with my import set ^^'' lol
If I read your reply right I think we actually paid the same. At $33 @ episode x 3 = $99.00 USD for each disc. All eight discs totalled not quite $800.00 USD. I think the recent devalued yen may have helped those of us who reside in the US. Amazon.co.jp started discounting the Volume costs starting with Disc 3. Currently eagerly anticipating the Gurren Lagann BD release this summer. And already have my pre-order in via Amazon.co.jp since November, 2012. Their prices are very competitive.

It is a welcome addition to my collection and I hope I click the right Japanese letters on the discs to view the English subtitles. I think japan might put only 2 or 3 episodes on a disc to maybe keep the quality of the episodes top notch. if you have ever tried to burn a dvd and you cram a bunch of videos on it the quality drops so maybe that is why. i will probably wait for the viz release even though it wont look great it will be much cheaper lol

Pretty expensive though more than I paid for my Kara No Kyoukai Blu-Ray set and that was a stretch for me. Not too many series I would pay that much for even though I have the money. Can't wait for a SAO Blu-Ray set. Would import a few series from Japan in they had english subtitles but watching stuff raw even though I understand it can be a pain.
